According to the Wook: The character, as fleshed out in the Expanded Universe, eventually caught Lucas' eye. The director was intrigued by Vos and decided to include him in the 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. The character was scripted to appear on the planet Kashyyyk, the Wookiee homeworld, during the execution of Order 66, but the scene was cut before the scene was shot or an actor was cast. An animatic featuring Vos was developed, however,[23] and a passing reference to the character remained in the final film.[5] This may be, however odd and obscure it may be, the reason for his inclusion in the CTT.

Yes, but Quinlin Vos, who came it the Turbo Tank, has only canonically appeared in The Clone Wars series, so I do think that at least he is a good example of Lego using the regular minifig style for TCW characters.

Yeah, I kinda figured it was. But it does strike me as odd that they would reply to that.

This may be nothing, or it may be something, but last night I Tweeted out to Lego a slightly goofy request for a new UCS Millennium Falcon and didn't think anything of it, I didn't at all think they would reply to it. But interestingly enough they did reply with this answer: https://twitter.com/...241524266049536 . Interested to see what everyone thinks here. I personally think the 40th Anniversary would be the perfect time to release a new UCS Falcon. I know it's not in the rumor list, but I can hope. :)

In my opinion some of the best sets this year have been the $12-$30 sets. The only stand outs that were more than that were the Episode VII sets like the Resistance Troop Transport and Niima Outpost.
-
And to be fair, we don't even know for sure what we saw for VIII are even A-Wings (and quite honestly I hope they aren't). I have no memory of ever seeing A-Wings in anything related to Rogue One, leaked or otherwise and I follow the leaks pretty closely.

Really bummed that the "Yoda's Hut" turned out to be Yoda's Starfighter. On the bright side, at least we will have a fairly cheep set to get the green Jedi in. I'm really looking forward to the Dual of the Fates set as I don't have the most recent versions of the three combatants. And it's been far too long since we had any sort of Prequel play set type set. The last one I can think of was the Geonosis Dual set. I need more Prequel sets like this (even if it turns out to be terrible) in my collection that is overrun with OT and Clone Wars stuff.

So this is Yoda's starfighter not his hut? Knew it was too good to be true. :(
-
I believe on the 2016 topic it was. Pretty interesting they'd put Chopper in something like this, but hey I'm not complaining! :)
-
Man, if half the rumored Star Wars sets for 2017 are true, next year is going to be amazing!!!!!
-
Wait, so according to the top post for this topic there are rumors for a Duel of the Fates Lego set? I would totally drop everything to buy a set like that as well as a Yoda's hut set.
-
Since this is really one of two of the only summer Star Wars sets I want, I'll probably get this. Maybe a tad expinsive, but since I'm not buying much for this wave it shouldn't be a money problem for me.

Congrats to all the winners! :D

Hold on guys, in the past half decade how many years has Yoda's hut been rumored to be a set for the following winter wave and not actually happened? I seem to recall at least 2 or 3. As much as I (like everyone else) wants to have it, I'll believe this when/if I see it.

What about SDCC? If it's supposed to be released in the Fall then surely SDCC would be the perfect place to first show it off.
-
Man, I love that ANH Leia! Now that new Death Star is even more appealing.
-
Oh please no! I would die if that happened.
-
Once again, he may be a contender for a May 4th promo ( though I'd personally rather see a George Lucas minifig next year). But other than that or some out of the blue promo like Red Arm C-3PO, I don't expect him till the Ep VIII sets come out.
-
Yikes! That's fairly expensive for what you actually get. But that's pretty much been the case for the past year and a half. I'll probably still buy this set anyway though. :P

What's up with the A-Wing pilot having the copyright notices for both Lucasfilm and Disney? This is particularly odd since Marvel has never been directly licensed under Disney.

Apon closer inspection I have to agree that the fig is probably a male rebel trooper. Probably using the face from the some of the FO ground crew. But I'd still like to think the black dude is Whitaker's character. I'm probably wrong, but I can't really see them leaving out o main character like that that hasn't been kept very secret at all. Especially in comparison to how they treated Han and Leia for TFA.
-
Isn't Mr. Whitaker's fig the one on the top right of the minifig page? It's a different outfit from his in the trailer but I really think that is him.
-
Is it just me or does it look like we get two version of Jyn? On the minifig page it has Jyn then the "not Biggs" guy then another minifig who look like they have female lips. Maybe it's a different character, but I would make sense to have more than one version of the lead in more than one set.
