  1. The sound FX were something that I was really trying to create realistically. Thanks guys. :) There will be more to come for the Marvel Brick Universe soon.
  2. So do you guys think the Helicarrier will be a play set like the minifig sized Star Destroyer or a huge USC set like the USC Star Destroyer?
  3. My first installment into the MBU. Me and fellow brickfilmer Jack Rizzo have been working on ways to connect our Marvel stories in to one universe, and so the MBU (Marvel Brickfilm Universe) was born! This is the first video to connect directly with another story to be told in the MBU, with many more to come! Thanks to Jack Rizzo for the awesome MBU logo at the beginning of this video. Read the short story at: http://marvelbrickfi...hort-story.html . Watch Jack's work here: https://www.youtube....ampotAnimations .
  4. IMO, if the original Star Wars films came out today, I think they would be much darker and be PG-13 films. In fact I have very litle reason to think that Episode 7 will not be PG-13. Lord of the Rings will never have the appeal as Star Wars (or DC and Marvel for that matter). What drives Star Wars is it's huge influence on our world. Go up to someone and say "These aren't the droids your looking for" and they will say "that's from Star Wars". Go up to someone and say "You shall not pass" and they'll be like "what movie is that from?" Now I know I'm generalizing, but not that much.
  5. But then on the flip side, you have Revenge of the Sith. That was the darkest and most violent of the whole SW saga and their still making sets from that film. In fact we have had two sets depicting the most graphic part of that film with the lava burned Anakin minifig.
  6. Or Jar Jar from Revenge of the Sith (let's spread the prequel love guys). But in all seriousness, part of me really thinks that that had a part in it. Lego probably wouldn't have done Harry Potter if they read the books first. So, I do think Lego thought that the Hobbit trilogy was going to be more light hearted than The Lord of the Rings. Like I said the only reason we got LotR sets is because of the Hobbit films.
  7. Here is something else I've been thinking about. The only reason Lego got this theme is for the Hobbit, right? At the time they got it all they had was the book whitch is considered by most to be a children's book, right? I think Lego thought that this would be more kid frindly than LotR and so when the films came out they realized that they had a theme that was a little darker than they wanted. But because they had already bought into it, they had to continue. So this theme will be like the Harry Potter line, it got too dark and they pulled the plug on it.
  8. Because they don't want to take anything away from the Hobbit wave. They know that most hard core fans want LotR over the Hobbit and if they know that LotR will comeout the flowing year, they know that the fans will save their money for LotR and not buy as many Hobbit sets.
  9. What if Lego did a CMS for LotR? They did that with Simpsons and that looks like it's not coming back (AWESOME!!!!!!!) I wonder if they would or even could do something like that for LotR.
  10. In 365 days we will know for sure wether this theme will have another wave. As far as my LotR/Hobbit fandom, that's probably going to go into a dark age (no new films, and no new sets). But my Lego fandom will continue as long as there is a company named Lego. With Age of Ultron, SW episode 7, the pirates theme, and a much better wave for Ninjago, 2015 will be a great year for me. But having LotR would make it even better.
  11. You never know what you have till it's gone. Do you guys think that the Tolkien Estate will ever sell the film rights to the Simerilen?
  12. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That saber is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. How de we even know that Hydra will be a big plot point. This is after all Age of Ultron. Yes I saw Cap. 2 and it's post credits scenes but perhaps the whole twin captivity thing will be resalved in the first 10 minutes like the SHIELD HQ destruction scene in the first Avengers.
  14. Starting now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. True true..........but we never thought that Qui-Gon would be in the CW.
  16. Pics have been floating around the internet with stormies with chrome silver helmets. The shadowtroopers in the BP look like they have silver helmets. And let us not for get that Lego has stated that they are working on the Episode 7 sets right now! They know things that we don't. They don't need a teaser trailer, they need pics of the sets and props, and that's what they have.
  17. Has anyone thought about the fact that the shadowtroopers could be from Episode 7? Say like a preview set. They did that with the CW line with the Anakin JSF coming out in the winter wave and the rest came out with the move. Just a thought.
  18. So is that Jar Jar in the AAT or a Gungan soldier?
  19. How long is NYCC lasting? Isn't it going on now?
  20. The road goes ever on and on.
  21. But Ant Man won't be in the Avengers. So why would he be in the sets.
  22. Captain America 3 is coming out first in 2016 so I hope we get sets from that with maybe a Winter Soldier. I seems like they make sets for one film per year, so maybe Dr. Strange, but who knows.
  23. I will have do disagree with you about DoS. It was a huge misrepresentation of the book. It added action in the pickup shoots so it could please the people that have never read the book and said that AUJ was boring. Anyway I emailed Lego customer survice about wether or not LotR would continue and here is what I got back: Thanks for getting in touch with us. Isn’t it exciting that there are so many new LEGO® sets every year? It’s great to see you’re eagerly waiting and trying to find out about what we’ve planned for the future. Have you seen the 79018 Hobbit: The Lonely Mountain set already? It's coming soon, on Oct 15th, 2014! It's huge and has Smaug in it! I'm sorry that I can’t tell you anything about any other new Lord of the Rings or Hobbit sets beyond that one. Something like that might be coming soon, but our new toys are always kept secret until they’re announced in the catalogue or on LEGO.com. That’s because it takes a long time to design and make new toys, and we sometimes need every minute until they hit the shelves to make them perfect. Besides... we look forward to surprising you! And remember, "It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.” Happy building! So as you can see, not even customer survice knows if the theme will continue.
  24. Do you think Lego is letting this get out of hand because they thought the Hobbit films would be more kid friendly than the Lord of the Ring? I think if Lego knew that the Hobit would be much more like LotR than the book its based off, Lego never would have signed on to this. The only reason we got LotR sets is because of the Hobbit films.
