LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Clone 01354 Productions replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I picked up the Sandcrawler back in June; I figured that the MTT would be the last reveal for 2014, so I just bought it. Then, I hear this news, and.....sadness. I mean, don't get me wrong, the Sandcrawler is great, but I love this EVEN MORE!!! ^Yeah, I change mine too. I was originally planning to get the Star Destroyer, Cantina, and AT-AT, but now I think I'll limit it to AT-AT, Cantina, and The-Super-Epic-Slave-I-That-I-Love-And-I-Will-Buy-And-When-I-Buy-It-It-Will-Be-My-Baby-Forever. -

^That's the fun part! We say, "Oh, will it be a reboot or continuation?" While we battle it out for pages upon pages, the designers get to smirk and say, "It's a reboot! <giggle>." Also, we probably gave them some pretty good ideas.....- 16,226 replies

DON'T YOU DARE EVER EVEN THINK OF CALLING ME THAT AGAIN!!!!!! But seriously, I could not be more pro-OT. TESB is one of the greatest movies of all time. Also, thanks; I never really noticed the troop. (That is not helping my case....) I noticed it too. The ship was always red, never brown. (though brown does look better). -

I hope all of the characters keep the traits, or at least similar versions of them, which made them unique: Kopaka the cold, distant Toa, Gali the warm, nuturing Toa, Tahu the leader, Lewa the bumbling hippie-Toa, etc. If they completely change it, I would be so disappointed. All of their personalities were fine the way they were. Also, just for giggles, how many times do you think that Lego designers and officials check this thread, just to see how wrong out predictions are?- 16,226 replies

Wait...I just realized something: Lego said that they will be announcing a new theme at NYCC. It can't be Jurassic World, or elves, or anything else, because those have already been announced!! It will be BIONICLE!!!!!- 16,226 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Clone 01354 Productions replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This will be released this year? Ugh.....the crazy holiday season will ensure that this thing is sold out, at least until January. Time to put my money in (around $70) and ask for an early Christmas gift.....before it is sold out. And you know what? I am disappointed in the lack of 4-LOM. He was teased at us in the Yoda Chronicles, so we all thought he would be here, but no: Stormtrooper instead. I get 4-LOM was not in this scene, but still.....neither was a Stormie..... And really, I am hoping for a Cloud City, but I am against it too. First off, because it is so big, Cloud City can never be pulled off well. You can't even just model a playset into the shape of Cloud City, like the Death Star, because it has a massive antenna sticking out below it! And all of the iconic scenes will be reduced to dinky little builds (like the Death Star, and the last Cloud City). Really, I would hope for just one room: the carbon-freezing chamber. That is the most iconic, and really, we can get all the minifigs we want: Luke, Leia, Chewy, C-3PO, Lando, Lobot, Vader; this can work because they all appear in this chamber at one point or another. A carbon-freezing chamber would be great. But, it'll probably be the new set that replaces the Death Star.....which means it'll be around for a while.....so my wallet doesn't die next year. -

^^Yeah, what's wrong-bad with treespeak? Treespeak is the best-happy thing I have ever heard-listened! (Lewa does it better.....) It does give him some nice, unique character, though. Also, I agree SneakySqeaky. September will be the longest month ever. Nothing is happening until October, and I highly doubt any more leaks. So that wait, an entire month of nothing, will be painful. ^Aanchir, I don't know how you see the original mask shape; It looks more like Onua Mata (At least, on the golden one), and the normal-color one looks like Nidhiki. But Pohatu.....I can barely make out anything on the golden mask, and forget the brown one: all I see there is a glob. And Onua....i don't even want to try....- 16,226 replies

Nidhiki! That's what Lewa's mask looks like! Every time I looked at it, I couldn't figure it out, but now I see that it looks like Nidhiki's mask! Either that or Matau Hordika (Not the same pieces, but it looks like it.)- 16,226 replies

^That Defender can't be more than $8; I know the real one will have more pieces, but still. This is the basic size, and the basic amount of pieces, so I think that we can all get a pretty good idea of prices.....with Lewa, Gali, and Pohatu close by.....- 16,226 replies

Seriously? What a cliffhanger!! The guy starts talking about the Slave I, and then stops? Thanks; now I won't be able to sleep tonight.... But Bespin Guards, cool! And I do hope that the new Boba Fett is decked out in printing: arm, leg, side-leg, back, new jetpack, better helmet. If this is true: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!! -

I have given up trying to figure out the image. Every time someone says they see something new, i can't find it. And some things, like the "Mata Nui spirit" are just plain dumb. Analyzing this photo is a dead horse. We have killed the horse, brought him back to life, and then beat him to death again. I think that we have analyzed every aspect of the photo, so why don't we talk about the things that are still important: the story. The defining factor of Bionicle was its deep story; do we think that the story will be dumbed down? Will it be made simpler, and more action-oriented, rather than focus on morals and lessons? I really hope not....from what I hear (I don't watch the shows), Ninjago has a pretty good story, so I hope that Lego will keep Bionicle the way we once knew it: story oriented. And who will be the main villain; I think we have all agreed, reluctantly or not, on a reboot, so will they still use Makuta? (Or Teridax; I hate how they made Makuta a species name, so that the line "I am the Makuta" is now "I am a Makuta.")- 16,226 replies

^Yeah, Kopaka seems the tallest, and Onua the shortest. And they are both in the upper price range? IF, and only IF, there are two price ranges, the groups that would make the most sense are Lewa, Pohatu, and Onua cheaper, and Tahu, Gali, and Kopaka more. That divides them into shortest and tallest. But those age ranges are throwing this all off....- 16,226 replies

^I would love for it to have that as well, and then just include bounty hunters: Zem Wessell, Bossk, 4-LOM, Zuckuss, Jango, and, of course BOBA FETT!!! They can do exclusive prints on him: arm printing, leg printing, and side printing (it has been done before....) But, Lego hates us, so we'll get the same one from the Desert Skiff, and have only one model, and still charge a UCS set price. I would buy it, still, so long as it is detailed. -

From the model's we've seen of people's interpretations, the legs and torso are only slightly longer. He may end up being 1 1/4 the size of a 2.0 hero, max 1 1/2. And anyway, the image is very blurry. It may just be a piece similar to a 2.0 torso, but made smaller.- 16,226 replies

Tahu, Kopaka, and Onua are larger, but I don't think $20 large. They only look slightly taller than a 2.0 Hero, which were like $10.- 16,226 replies

TIE Crawler was fake? Good, because it was stupid.* But i don't think it would be a "Made Up" set; The made up ones never include real, main characters (Jek-14's Fighter had all made up people, as did the one from this year.) So the fact that it contains Anakin makes this impossible. This set is the most mysterious one out of the entire lineup. Watch it be, like, the same green one from '12. *Oh so it's not fake. Well, it is still stupid. I mean seriously, they but treads on a TIE Fighter! -

In the Star Wars line, Battle on Saleucami was $16. I think that any price point is acceptable to use for Lego Products, not just intervals of $5. But I really think that the Defenders are $8, the Toa are $12-$15 (Lewa, Pohatu, and Gali, and Tahu, Onua, and Kopaka, respectively), and Lord of Skull Spiders should be $20, maybe $25.- 16,226 replies

I doubt Tahu, Onua, and Kopaka are Titan-Priced. They only look slightly bigger than the others, and most of the pieces used are larger ones. So, the piece count is still fairly low, but they are just a bit larger. And I will be furious if I have to pay $20 for them. Luckily, Lewa will be around $15-12, and he's my favorite.- 16,226 replies
