  1. I wonder if the writers planned out the entire story from day one.......the whole concept of them living inside of a robot, the plan for Makuta to exile Mata Nui, the plan for Bara Magna.....all of these things just really brought the story together, and without it, the story would be completely different. That being said, I really want them to carefully plan EVERYTHING out. With Bara Magna......did they plan for it to be canceled one year into the story, causing the story to have to abruptly end? I doubt it. They need to have a solid backup plan for the Bara Magna Complex, because I don't think that this theme can support the weight of another failure.
  2. Okay, I went on Wookieepedia (which was a horrible experience.....) and found clues for "Anakin's Custom Starfighter": the yellow one is from both the Tartakovski microseries, as well as the Clone Wars CGI; I did not know that this ship was considered to be "Custom". This has only been released once, although it was a very popular ship of Anakin's, so I think that we may just get this one. It may be UCS, or maybe just a rehash as a small set, but no matter what, I am convinced that Lego will give us this version. The Azure Angel makes no sense as a set choice, since it has been de-canonized. We do usually get a Jedi Interceptor every year, so........
  3. Yeah, it's not picking on every little detail; it is an obvious eye sore when compared to normal Stormies. I don't mean they look bad; they can pass very well as prototype armor. I just mean that, when compared to the OT Stormies, they are mediocre.
  4. ^Well put. That is exactly what we need. And I assume that you are more pro-tribal than pro-2008 "Hey-look-at-me-I-have-a-laser-gun", no? We need to have civilizations more like the Koros, not like Metru. Metru Nui had a nice feel to it, and yes it made sense from a story point of view, but it just felt wrong, especially coming right after Mata Nui. And don't even get me started on Voya Nui.....that was a mess.
  5. Well, agreeing with everyone and just stating shallow observations doesn't allow for discussion; these threads are for us not to say "I like this....."; they are for us to voice our true opinions that can be arguable among the population. People saying a bad thing about one thing leads to a big discussion. If everyone was perfectly content with what was going on, there would be nothing to discuss. (I'm not helping my case, are I? ) But you get my point. You want some positive comments? Here: I am very pleased that they will be releasing Tuskens next year, and I love Shadow Troopers. Now, everyone can say, "Yeah, me too" and then this topic is dead. To kickstart the "complaining" (wink) again, will the new Hailfire Droid be AOTC or TCW? I am really hoping for the former, since we can get some sweet Jedi thrown in. However, this will most likely be TCW, because this is likely just a companion to the Geonosis Troopers BP.
  6. I don't want to go into it because any elaboration on that would make me sound racist (which I am not). And I agree; Micheal Dorn needs to do every voice. It is just so perfect....... Oh, and I think that Lewa needs an Irish accent again; it just seemed to fit with the character. Tree-speak doesn't work with Micheal Dorn.
  7. ^^I am a Star Wars fan. But I don't get over carried-away with tiny little details; I don't read the EU that tries to cover up the movie flaws: I just accept the flaws. But the new Rebels Stormies are bad. The clones in TCW only had very minor changes, but for the most part they looked close to the movie versions--and the same goes for the Lego minifigs. But these Stormies look odd next to my older ones: the blue is too bright, the mouth is steep (but that is excusable), the armor is too angular.....it just doesn't look right. I get the whole "Star Wars fans are never happy with anything", but most of that only applies to the die-hard fans who know what Luke's favorite color is. Fans like me, though, are bothered by the things that really contribute to the overall feels of the characters and movies.
  8. I actually liked his calm/peaceful personality, since I always saw Lewa as the "Hippie" Toa. He loved nature, and animals, and it just seemed to fit him. Now, I do hate how "Onua: Wise Toa of Earth" turned into "Onua: Really Strong guy who crushes things." And what about Whenua in LOMN? That was.......slightly......racist.
  9. Woah, Lewa was Irish? Oh....that makes sense now. I never noticed it. Well, he's Jamaican now......
  10. ^Agreed. Also, Lego would never release such an iconic setting like Cloud City under the Rebels line. It makes 0 sense, because the Carbon Freezing chamber and Bespin Duel are only iconic with the OT characters. HOWEVER: I would like it if they released several other, less-important locations from Cloud City, like generic hallways, or walkways, or a landing platform. (Maybe like in Battlefront I). That way, you can get iconic locations under the OT line, as well as background locations for the Rebels line.
  11. Oh, I see. Thanks! But it doesn't fit with all of the strange angles still......then again, neither would a Metru head.
  12. Wait, looking at the new mask, I have no clue what type of head will be used. It seems to narrow, especially around the mouth/cheeks, to be an existing mold. Here's to hoping that they are like Metru heads. Also, since the large Mask has been drastically redesigned, then maybe some other pieces on the builds will be changed? Maybe they will include new, Bionicle-esque pieces? And there is still hope that they will give Lewa his smile.....
  13. None of us have any clue; it is the most mysterious out of all of them. It would be odd to include only one Clone Wars set, even more so for it to be one from the defunct mini series. It can't be Rebels since it says "Anakin", not Vader. It cannot be Prequels, as we have already gotten the yellow and green one. It cannot be Clone Wars CGI, since Anakin never used a custom starfighter in it. It cannot be Yoda Chronicles since they are now in the same predicament as Rebels: it takes place after ROTS. So really......micro series is the only logical one, but at the same time, it makes 0 sense. So, what I'm trying to say is: I don't know.
  14. So there you go. He said it looks like a previous set, and no hovercraft troop transport was ever released; only the dropship and landing craft.
  15. He said it was like an actual dropship type of thing, not a hovercraft.
  16. I am rooting for rebooting. For all you hardcore fans out there (like me), think of it like this: a reboot keeps the story and characters of your childhood safe in an alternate, past version of the story, so that no matter how much the new version fails, the story you know and love will still be the same forever. Let's use an example: Star Wars. It started great, and though the Prequels were bad, people still fondly remember them and connect them to their childhood. Now, they are dragging the story out purely to bring in more money, and the story has become dead and dull. The movies you loved as a kid don't have the same feeling because you know what it becomes. (Though I still like it, and hold out hope.) A reboot allows the nostalgia to stay, the enjoyment to stay, no matter how many cash grabs and mistakes they make after.
  17. Wait a second......Hulk_Smash said that the ITT was a sort of flying craft in the Lego set, but Rebels has official made it like the Kenner one for the show. Could it be a prelim, a different craft, or is he not being 100% truthful......
  18. I think that they are neutral: not siding with the Toa, nor the Skull Spiders. I think they just defend the legendary masks from any force, and only those they deem worthy are allowed to utilize its power. Speculation: It leads to arguments and disappointment!!
  19. ^^I only want Shadow Troopers and the Skyhopper. That is even better than this year (in terms of winter line up), when I bought three Battle Packs, Grievous' Wheel Bike, and Saleucami, and last year's RGS, and still bought the Sandcrawler. Shadow troops will likely be $12, the Skyhopper around $30. Pile on the Slave I, and it only comes to $242 (but lets round up and say $300, with tax.) This year, I spent $450, and that is rounding down! Next year will be easy. Sad excuse for a winter line, most likely a Rebels-dominated Summer, and more money towards the Slave I (and.....Cloud City.....). Even if it is released this year, I can wait a few months. It'll be sold out at Christmas anyway.
  20. I thought that sets were done for this year. I figured the Sandcrawler is UCS, and the MTT was meant as an underwhelming filler for another UCS. It seems odd that they would release a Slave I at Christmas time, for two reasons: 1) How many parents drop $250 on a toy? Not many.....the Slave I is aimed towards teen and adult collectors, who usually don't rely on Christmas lists to get what they want. 2) Why release a set so close to the holiday season, when kids have already made their lists, and collectors have already planned out what they wanted? It seems awful hasty, for anyone. I really hope for it to be released May the 4th, or at least January. I still need the Cantina, and AT-AT, and AT-AP; a Slave I in the mix would kill me.
  21. I loved Gali's trans-blue Kanohi. It didn't rely on any details; it was just clear plastic that relied on the face underneath to provide details. And it worked. Her Mata mask is one of the best masks. But it is very hard to tell if it is trans. I can not make out anything with her mask, just like Pohatu's and Lewa's.
  22. I will go crazy if the next Cloud City is $400. Think; that is nearly half of a thousand dollars! Lego shouldn't, and probably won't, because how many people wanted the MF? Like, everyone. How many bought it? A very small fraction. Hopefully, none of the other sets of 2015 will appeal to me, so that I can just buy one set: this. Because if I miss out on Ugnaughts, and Lando, and Bespin Leia, and Baspin Luke.......
  23. ^The Imperial Landing Craft only came with five. And that would be a lot cooler, since it is reminiscent of the Imperial Shuttle (I wish I could still buy one....). A BP would be......underwhelming. Especially with Rebels Stormies.
  24. Wow.....they made a Bionicle Stars Combiner? Ugh......And what character was that even supposed to be?
  25. ^It isn't a battle pack, is it? I thought that it was similar to the Imperial Landing Craft, which is a larger set. Was Hulk_Smash, when comparing the design, referring to the Imperial Dropship from a few years back? That would make more sense......
