LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
ArrowBricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The box-art is truly stunning. Set looks fine; I was never going to purchase it. Looks a lot smaller than the rumoured piece count, I must admit. Great figure selection, though. Looks even better with the set. -

Purely speculation on my part, but could the rumoured buildable creature be an IG-11 Unit with Grogu? It did have a really weird rumour last year. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures

Inspired by the 25th anniversary lineup, here’s my extremely premature wish list for 2029 to celebrate 30 years of Lego Star Wars. I have focused on iconic ships, vehicles and scenes. Each set will have an exclusive, never released, and unlikely to be released minifigure. This is except Starkiller; I just could not ignore him. The only controversial part of this list is the lack of Sequel love. But I’m hoping the 10 year anniversary of these respective movies will give us representation. Duel on Geonosis £29.99 (Dooku’s Speeder, Geonosis terrain and lighting): Count Dooku, Yoda Exclusive Figure: Black Krrsantan Hoth Wampa Cave £49.99 (moulded Wampa & Tauntaun): Luke Skywalker, Han Solo Exclusive Figure: Saw Gerrera Tusken Raider Encounter £59.99 (moulded Bantha, Landspeeder): Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi, C3-P0, R2-D2, Tusken Raider (x2) Exclusive Figure: Yarael Poof Tie Defender £69.99: Tie Pilot, Stormtrooper, Ruhk Exclusive Figure: Baron Papanoida Naboo Royal Starship £139.99: Ric Olie, Captain Paneka, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, R2-D2, Queen Amidala Exclusive Figure: Snaggletooth Millenium Falcon £159.99: Lando Calrissian, Nien Nunb, General Airen Cracken, Rebel Trooper ‘Blount’, Rebel Trooper ‘Evans Basch’ Exclusive Figure: Starkiller Republic Dropship w/AT-TE £229.99: Clone Pilot, AT-TE Driver, Clone Trooper (x2), Kit Fisto, Luminara Unduli, Geonosian Battle Droid (x2, Droideka Exclusive Figure: Sim Aloo -

People love army building, especially Clones. To not have a battle pack or figure pack of some sort with the troop variants is money on the table. I think the Justifier was a poor choice, albeit rational with Cad Bane showing up in TBOBF. Considering this is now the Empire, these figures will certainly also attract OT fans too. -

Little disappointed the Great Hall is from Book 1. They have to include new stuff, and new stuff only. Really don’t want to be seeing figure repeats at such a high price point. Give me the troll, too! Can someone give me an idea of a Great Hall set where it’s all new? Like ghosts etc. -

4 sets (3 confirmed), isn’t a bad start for a Hogwarts reboot though! Factor in one of these sets is like $/£200 I don’t think they needed to go overboard. Olivander’s is the next instalment in the Diagon Alley expansion, and so that makes sense. Personally, I like these sets because they’re more affordable as I’m only paying £80-£100 per year. The buildable creatures fit with Lego’s direction more broadly. Lego Star Wars and Superheroes are doing these sorts of things and so I don’t see why HP shouldn’t, either. Aragog’s Lair seemingly goes with Hagrid’s Hut, Ford Anglia, and Hogwarts/Hogsmeade station. The only one that I think is a bit unusual is the Durmstrang Ship and Beauxbatons Carriage. But I liked your idea that it could be linked to the Great Hall. -

Might have to wait a bit. Yavin got reduced fairly quickly. The news has made me very intrigued about the set. I didn’t know I wanted a more affordable Death Star playset. -

This makes the most sense. Why would Lego design only half the sets for the new Hogwarts configuration? They’d have planned them all, others more complete. This is a good point. Surely, Lego would learn from this, though? I would be shocked if the potions class isn’t part of the new configuration. It does. I assume some very large parts, maybe some new moulds (troll, anyone?) Separate point: Do we think the Aragog’s lair will be advertised alongside the Ford Anglia and Hagrid’d Hut? I am looking forward to buying those 3 sets, and even the Hogwarts Express and Hogsmeade. I think they will/all go together amazingly. Personally, the first few months when recreated in Lego are so nostalgic. -

Go on then, what’s going to make the Great Hall 1732 pieces? I think the future reception of the new Hogwarts configuration will rely on this set being well received. It sounds like it’s the central hub, the connective tissue. -

I don’t think it’s as simplistic as that (even though that does sound complicated). The speculation stems from Foggyfate. -

I would want/expect the following (Given the Minifigure lineup in the Sarlacc set): Jabba, Salacious B, Huttslayer Leia, R2-D2, C3-PO, Max Reno, Salt-Marae, Jabba’s Henchman (e.g, Vizam). -

Atleast I didn’t imagine this was a rumour! Crazy how fast it has been brought up after we spoke about it like a few hours before! I don’t think it’s Lego’s choice. It’s Disney’s. Admittedly, it would be catastrophic if she wasn’t included. -

New picture of Fives looks a lot better. The cloth is still awkward. Hoping there is an exclusive head.
