  1. Yep, definately a re-realease. I mean, its basically the same minifigs, with updated looks (wich we have almost all of from other sets) @ CM4Sci : Did you see the "death star droid"? What kind is it? Is it the same as the yoda chronicles one from 2014, or a black protocol droid, or something else?
  2. I agree. How long do we have to wait for obviously needed sets like the TIE Interceptor, TIE Bomber, Lars Homestead, Bespin, etc. Every new wave I'm sure these sets will be realeased, and every time TLG dissappoints. At this point it's beyond illogical... From a business perspective aren't TLG missing a lot of sales on this? (I mean a lot of people will surely not buy a set they got just 1 or 2 years ago?)
  3. I just got a feeling that the Ewok Village would be retired very soon (I felt a disturbance in the force, if you will...) And I had to order it I don't think we will ever get a better set depicting the Ewok Bright Tree Village. It's definately something with a lot of detail and features, and a kind of UCS set we rarely see.
  4. I know you have seen it! Please give us SOME more information... We're starving here...
  5. Yeah, i was thinking the same thing... The first post clearly says "Remember that this topic is for discussing sets that are rumored to come in 2016." If we cant discuss the 2016 sets... What are we then going to do in this thread?
  6. If you look at the leaked photos, there is defenately a chance for the wings to fold back. There is just enough space between the engines. The wings seem to be seperate constructions from the rest of the ship - I dont see any bricks/plates that cross over from the wings to the "body" of the ship, thus making it very likely that the wings are hinged.
  7. Only one - in the 2016 advent calendar. There are none in the RO sets we know of now.
  8. Oh shit, the excitement... Now I wont be able to sleep. Thanks!
  9. Aw man.. This is insanely exciting. A §500 UCS set has the potential to be epic beyond compare. I cant wait for the first pictures to leak. Where are our Bothans when we need them!?!
  10. Quoted for truth. What is the price per brick for Star Wars sets nowadays? What piececount will a $500 give us?
  11. I dont think thats right. Think of sets like: 75003 A-wing 75051 Jedi Scout Fighter 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium They all have a pretty limited amount of visible studs. And the design of those ships are not very complicated. They just use some slopes and flat tiles to make the apperance more sleek and realistic. The RO sets have far more studs, and doesent look that good IMO.
  12. I agree with you. I Dont think the designs are very good (were they in a hurry?). Too much studs IMO. But most people here seem to think they're great.
  13. I see it another way: Many detailed rooms make for a great display-set IMO. The absoultely best would probably be plates that open up, or a "half-dome" covering one side of the set, while still preserving the interior... But I guess thats not gonna happen from TLG.
  14. I dont own the 10188 Death Star, but I just watched JangBricks video review. Oh man... I'm stunned. I completely agree with what other have said in this thread: 10188 is almost a perfect Lego Star Wars set. There really is no way to surpass the 10188. The best we can hope for is actually a remake with updated minfigs.
  15. With the Death Star coming this year, there's not that many options for an EP IV UCS. Can you say Millenium Falcon...
  16. But do RO take place on the Death Star? I thought it was about how the plans for the Death Star was captured/stolen by the rebels...
  17. You're right it's just a rumor. I dont think 15 minfigs is unliely. Infact it's likely there will be more - the 2008 Death Star had 24 minfigs! My list contained all possible characters - I'm not saying they all of them will be included.
  18. It can't be long now before we get the first leaks of the new Death Star. I'm very excited... What do you guys think the minfig lineup will be? I think it's most likely the new Death Star will have elements from both the first and the second Death Star. I would expect there to be at least 15 minfigs (including droids) since it's such a large set. There aren't many Rebels that have visited the Death Star, so it's very likely we will see most of the main characters that was on the station, perhaps 5 of them. That leaves 10 or so imperials to fill the other places. Heres my thoughts: REBELS: Luke Skywalker (given) Leia in white dress (very possibly) Han Solo (very possibly) Chewie (possibly, but not very likely) Obi-Wan (possibly) C-3PO (likely, but R2D2 and C-3PO is present in so many sets that I actually hope to se some other minfigs instead of them) R2-D2 (same as above) IMPERIALS: Darth Vader (sure thing) Stormtrooper (very likely multiples of these) Emperor Palpatine (not so sure - it could be the first Death Star) Grand Moff Tarkin (possibly) Imperial officer in black (quite likely - there are many of these in both the first and second Death Star) Other imperial officer in grey (possibly - I'm hoping for Piet, Jerjerod or Motti (with choced face)) Imperial naval tropper (likely) Death star trooper / gunner (very likely) Technichian w/black cap (not very likely) Crew w/grey cap (possibly) Emperors advisors (not likely, but i would love to get some of these guys) Emperors Guard (please no more of these!!!) TIE-pilots (possible, but I'd rather not have any of these with no system scale TIE to put them in) IMPERIAL DROIDS: Blue R2 astromech droid (we know we will get this one - very cool) Other Black R2- and R5-droids (also possibly) RA-7 imperial Protocol droid (possibly) AV-6R7 (not likely, but I would love this) 3PO or TC protocol droids (also a possibility) Mouse droid (likely) IT-O Interrogation droid (very likely) What do you guys think?
  19. I just bought the very disliked and very criticized 75098 UCS Assault on Hoth. But let me explain: I started collecting Lego Star Wars in 2014, and i missed all the old Hoth-base sets. I did buy the 2014 AT-AT and 2014 Snowspeeder, and so the UCS Assault on Hoth is perfect, since it pretty much cowers all of the earlier hot sets (wampa-cave, base, trench etc.). AND: After seeing JangBricks video where he put 75098 UCS Assault on Hoth next to the old 7879 Hoth Echo Base (from 2011) - I just could not resist buying that also I haven't built the sets yet, but looking at JangBricks' video, they fit perfect together and realy complete each other. For the video, check out:
  20. I was thinking the exact same thing. I just dont understand how they can realease a UCS Echo Base set without Leia. Shes like the main character in the base, and the film focus heavily on her in the assult-scenes. The only logical thing would be to realease a modular add-on set with Leia, bacta-tank etc. But Legos realeases are not known to be "logical"...
  21. Yes, it has to be dengar. It's a smart move by Lego to add popular OT caracters in other SW-lines, just like they did with the 75051 Jedi Scout Fighter, that had both an ithorian and a RA-7 Protocol droid.
  22. Has TLG stoppet producing the 75054 AT-AT? (I can't find it anywhere) And if yes, why would they do it when they are releasing the UCS Echo Base this year?
  23. Im hoping for something big from A New Hope... What about a Mos Eisley UCS? Im thinking the Ubrikkian trade tower, some dirty streets, and hangar bay 94...
