  1. Looks like the two pieces are made for each other! Gray and green details in both pieces. A perfect match. The advent calendar just got 5 % cooler.... Thank you for the picture!
  2. I've been wondering the exact same thing. Have anybody tried this? Or could somebody with skills in Photoshop make an illustration? :-D
  3. I have to disagree with you there. I think it's way better for both TLG and the fans/customers to release several Cloud City sets, in the same way they did Jabba's Palace / Rancor Pit. Heres why: - With several individual sets we would obviously get more detailed sets than with just one big Cloud City set. (even compared to a "UCS"-type Cloud-City set) - There would also be more min-figs total - The cost would be spread out over several sets, making it more economically acceptable for most byers. The cheaper sets sell better than the large UCS-sets. Still, most of the collectors would buy all the sets in the series anyway - so TLG would probably sell more to both die-hard collectors and to the regular customers. Personally I would love several Bespin sets that could be connected, in the same way as Jabba's Palace / Rancor Pit or the modular Creator City sets. Lets just hope TLG deos a better job at designing the connections than they did with Jabba's Palace / Rancor Pit.
  4. OT guy here. Since we got no new bounty hunters in the UCS slave-1, I'm hoping really hoping we'll get some of the OT bounty hunters in later sets. I'm talking about these guys: It could be an Executor command bridge play-set (with Darth Vaders hyperbaric meditation chamber included), where 2-4 of the bounty hunters were included. Zuckuss and 4-lom will require a new head-mold, but the same mold can be used for both (with just different printing). Its probably very unlikely though. BUT, we did get the 7754 Home One Calamari Cruiser play-set, witch I'm thinking is pretty much the same type of set...
  5. Hmm. I'm happy that its finally confirmed... but its not perfect... The shape is VERY accurate. At first i thought the "satellite dish" (the bottom/base of the ship) should be more round, but its actually very accurate. The angles and curves are masterfully designed, with a low number of studs visible. Very good! The big disappointment for me are the minifigs :-( There was not much improvement they could do with Boba - except for the obvious arm printing. But i was maybe hoping for a new backpack, or a new mold for the hands with his wrist-guns (unrealistic i know). And I really don't think his new gun is closer to the movie version. Carbonite Han is basucally the same as the Jabbas Palace version, and the Stormie is the same we got in the 2014 Star destroyer. The bespin guard is cool, though. What I really was hoping for was 4-lom, Zuckuss, Dengar or Ig-88... But none of those were present at Bespin in the movies, so its kinda logical. On the bright side this set sets the stage for more Bespin-related sets. As we all know TLG usually releases relating OT-sets in "waves" - like the recent Tatooine wave we have had. I have my fingers crossed for a new carbon freeze chamber play-set, or perhaps a system scale twin pod car :-P What we don't see in the pictures are the play features (except for the hidden weapons in the sides). I'm guessing (and hoping) the sides of the ship open up to reveal a detailed interior - hopefully with holding cells for Bobas unfortunate prisoners ;-D
  6. So, whats the conclusion regarding the UCS Slave-1? - false rumor? - delayed to 2015? - canceled? What do you guys think?
