LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!

But that means it will be small! No! The Death Star was €500, and that was 2 years ago... I don’t want to be the guy that says «it’s too cheap!» (LOL), but i want the Cloud City set to be a large UCS, not a small/medium one... I now fear the set will be closer to Assult on Hoth, rather than the last Death Star. -

So the name "Imperial AT-hauler" obviously means it carries imperial AT's. Does that also mean the lego version will somehow fit together with an AT-vehicle? Perhaps a yet unreleased AT-vehicle? -

I like the new helmet. It is more accurate IMO. But (as many have pointed out) : why are there no chin-straps on teh face-prints? -

I agree, a great wave. But what about the rumored Tie Interceptor, and v19 torrent. Are they coming later in the year, or was it all just a brilliant plot from TLG to surprise us with 2 totally unexpected sets...? -

That white 2-1B medical droid looks nothing like the CZ-1 droid in ANH. If it, in fact, is supposed to represent the CZ-1, thats very lazy of TLG. -

Why is there a white 2-1B surgical droid in the Sandcrawler set. I dont recall that droid being present in the sandcrawler. I Really dont hope that minifig is supposed to be the cz-1 droid, beacuse it doesn't look anything like it... Oh, and is the ra-7 droid in the sandcrawler the excact same minifig as we got in Lego 75051 Star Wars Jedi Scout Fighter, or is it a new print. -

Yes, i agree that would have made more sense. But - we can hope for a better design on the cockpit - The Solo TIE-fighter does not have a good cockpit design IMO (the 2017 First Order Special Forces TIE fighter did have a better design). -

Ok. Thank you for the clarification. Now do you know anything about what the 75222 CC might be? -
Yeah, but with "PLACEHOLDERS" in large letters over soo, it's not going to be the same...

It's on the "usual" place - the name of the set is "The Dockyards".

But why would the "back" of the set be on the front of the box? I can't think of another set that where this has been the case... Edit: oh and welcome to the Eurobricks forums!

Am I the only one who think the set looks quite underwhelming? It doesn't look like a $300 set. It looks way smaller and far less detailed than Ninjago City. I can't see how it will connect to Ninjago City in a good way either. But perhaps there is more to the set than what we see on the front of the box. It's a "meh" from me.

Has anyone read this article: https://www.thebrickfan.com/is-a-lego-star-wars-ucs-cloud-city-set-coming-soon/ Is it just wishful thinking or is the Lego employee actually saying "Bespin City" in the "bleeped out" parts of the video (like thebrickfan article suggests). I, for one think "Bespin City" would be a rather odd name for a UCS set... But Lego has indeed given us these kinds of hints before (like the pictures of the UCS Falcon box, where one could just make out the box art through the white "wrapping")... -

I assume it will be the same Imp. Shuttle Pilot that we got in 75163 Krennics imperial Shuttle Microfighter? I dont like that minifig, because it's not very accurate. The Imp. Shuttle Pilots in the movies had double breasted tunics, not jumpsuites. -

I really don't understand how Lego could end up using that Mimban Tropper helmet-mold for OT Stormtroopers. The "dents" and the shell/plate in the front of the helmet is not how the Stormtroppers from the movies looked. Lego have been increasingly focused on details the last couple of years, and we have seen a lot of small (almost unnecessary) changes to molds and printing to make minifigs more movie-accurate. I dont see Lego going from a good mold to a less movie-accurate mold now... -

A skirt/robe piece is way overdue. Think about all the characters with robes in the SW-films! I hope they utilize this and make new versions of all the major characters (like OT Leia, mon Mothma, Obi-wan, Emperor Palpatine, etc. etc.). -

It looks fantastic IMO. New and more correct backpack on the sandtrooper. Great build on the pod-speeder. Cool looking entrance / door. Wher is a great addition. But the build of the bar does seem quite odd, and frankly not right... -

Very interesting. If this information turns out to be correct I would be very happy. At this point I'm just glad for any new concept we get in re-released sets. I especially like the addition of "civilians" or civilian vehicles added to the Lego SW-world. If we get both Wuher and the Ubrikkian 9000 pod I would be delighted! I consider myself a pretty die-hard fan of the SW-saga, but i Had to look up what the heck an Ubrikkian 9000 was. I wonder how they will manage to pull off the spherical shape of the pod (and the round windows). -

@darththeling and @dvogon Do you guys remember the leaked picture with Wuher, Han and Greedo (witch started the whole rumor about a new cantina)? Well, in that piture there was also 2 sandtroopers - one with a white pauldron, and one without a pouldron. If that picture is legit, those 5 minifigs could very well be the actual lineup for the set... Seems plausable to me. -

Can it still be ordered from Lego online shop? Or do I have to BrickLink the Target ecxlusives? -

I agree. And furthermore, there is no sign on the picture of anything that can be "opened up". No hinges, buttons, or liftable parts etc. At least from what I can see. -

I was thinking the same. Maybe the plate under the round tile can swing open? But not likely. The set is simply monumental! -

The new MF has 2346 more bricks than the old (7541 vs 5194) If the scale of the ship stays the same, I can't understand how it's possible to use more 2356 more bricks on just better detailing on the exterior. Even if we count in extra bricks for more minifigs and two radar-dishes, and/or sturdier internal frame, I don't find this likely. IMO it is more likely that the new MF a): Will have a (limited) interior, or b): Will be somewhat bigger in scale. Maybe someone here with sources on "the inside" could give us a little hint?... -
