scissor lifts
GuiliuG replied to GuiliuG's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice ! Is a Xl really necessary? -
Today, I'm going to feature my most complex creation so far. It's a telehandler, built for fana'briques2011 during the month of march. So, it's the first creation I have built for fana'briques. It took me approximativly 75 houres to create it. The idea to build such a MOC came from rom104 with his awesome telehandler : His telehandler And here is mine : It owns a two mod steering: normal and crabe. It's actionned by the gyrophar on the top of the cabin. A sliding axle permits to change direction mod. The battery box is easily removable And the cabin is just fixed on the frame : With a 5 outputs gearbox, it's possible to control each functions which are : right stabilizer, left stabilizer, lifting arm, telescoping arm and tilt of the fork. Same if it's not perfect, i'm very please with the way it turned out and i have learnt a lot of things :) You can see more pictures on my brickshel galery And here is the video : As you can hear, gears crack at end position, but if you take care, it's not a problem. I have also made a notice : If you want to built it... I hope you like it and I will be happy to answer to your questions :)

Grumpy : power functions robot
GuiliuG replied to jovel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Awesome ! I admire how you manage to put all these functions in such a small space ! -
Here is the excavator which goes with the truck : Two M located on the turret control each track with a similar reduction as the 8043, but there are more reductions after the driving ring and so, less before. An other M, next to the firsts, control the rotation. Two Las lift the arm, powered by an Xl and 20T/16T. Gears crack at the end ( i do not notice this problem when building because i was testing the function with low battery...) The two others functions are powered by two M and are located on the arm. These functions are very powerfull. My galery You can see it in action here : As you can see, i'm obliged to put out the black coverag oherwise the receptors do not receive the infrarouges.I'm not very accustomed to control it^^. Some pictures taken during the disassembly process here

I'm sorry but i haven't others pictures and it's still disassembled. You can maybe see biger pictures on my brickshelf galery : Here -
Hello everybody, it's me again ! Today i'm going to present you one of the big moc I've made for fana'briques, during the month of april. By big, I mean complex and on which i've spend some houres, but not particular a monstrous moc^^, same if it weights 1kg800. The doors are openable and the cab reveals a v6 : The shapes are square to respect the man real shapes.I wanted a (full?) design, which explain the weight of the truck. But the most interessing thing when developping the moc was not the design but the mechanic. Indeed, it owns a propulsion on the first and second axle, powered by an Xl via 12T/20T-8T/24T and a steering on the first axle, powered by a M motor via 8T/clutch-8T/24T-12T/rack. But the most interessting thing is not these two functions which are basically but the presence of two independant gearbox which permet to the Xl motor to control the propulsion or the skip and to the M motor to control the steering or the liftable axle. The galery to see aditionnal pictures And here is the video, where you can see the truck but also an excavator which will be as soon as possible featured :) Unfortunaly for this truck, it's already disassembled, so here are some pictures that I've taken during the disassembly process : Others picutres of the disassembly I hope you like it, personally i have taken a lot of pleasures mocing this truck and presenting it to the public at fana'briques.

Trophy-Truck
GuiliuG replied to GuiliuG's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I did not use Xl because my three xl were used in other MOCs but effectivly if performs as well as others TT with xl motor ( you will see in nico71's video). Your axles are very inspiring Zblj :) -
scissor lifts
GuiliuG replied to GuiliuG's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, i have built it in approximativly thirty minutes ( maybe thirty-five^^). I had a good idea how to built it before taking my parts, so i've quickly created it. If you look, there is nothing particular difficult at this model if you know before mocing how to create the chisel. And thanks a lot for compliments! -
Lamborghini tractor
GuiliuG replied to GuiliuG's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks everybody. I have pictures of all the creations i have built for fana'briques and i'm going to present all of them. Today, as i already have say, i'm going to take some pictures during the dissassembly and i'm going to post them here, so you will be able to see better how everything fit. Ps: it's not a pendular axle but a suspended axle. -
The last creation i'm going to feature today ( other mocs will be presented later) is a totaly manual grey tractor. Actually if i have decided to build a lamborghini tractor, it's because it's the only mark to create grey tractor as far as i know and as a lot of my yellow and red parts were utilized, grey was the perfect color. It was built during may, and presented at fana'briques2011. Below the bonnet, there is only a L3 because i tried to respect the particular lamborghini tractor shape. There is naturally an integral propulsion ... ... but also a four speed gearbox. Behind, the lifting tool is similar to the 8284 and too basically. My next tractor will own a real lifting tool with three attachment points but for the moment i have no studless pneumatic cylinders and three of my four mini-la were used in other creations- it explain why i have built a basically lifting tool^^) The power-take-off can rotate at two different speeds ( the gearbox on the left of the tractor controls the speed of the pto). Front axle is also suspended. My galery with additionnal pictures when accessible And here is the video : I'm going to take some pictures during the disassembly and post them here. So, you will see better how the mechanics work.

So, the second MOC i'm going to present you today is a trophy truck which was created to do truck trial. The propulsion is assured by two M motors, connected together with a differential, to compensate the speed variation of the two motors. As you can, there is not fake engine because the two M motors take a lot of space and the only way to control the steering is to put a M motor below the bonnet. The two axles are suspended, front with grey suspensions and the rear with yellow suspensions. I can not explain more about this model due to the lack of my english vocabulary and grammar. If you have some questions, feel free to post some comments. Here is my brickshelf galery to see additionnal pictures : I won't make any video because nico71 has taken some footages of the truck during the contest at fana'briques.

Hello everybody ! As some of you have maybe noticed, i haven't featured any MOCs since february. Actually i do not stop mocing but i prepared a lot of "surprises" ( 6) for fana'briques. I will present you all my models, from newest to oldest. So, here is the last creation i have built, exactly a week before fana'briques. It's very simple and i have built it in approximativly thirty minutes. And a small video not really necessary :

RC tatra 8x8
GuiliuG replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Same if i'm not a fan of 8*8 Trial Truck ( i think that 4*4 is much performant because they weight less and undergo under less stress), you did a good job ! I particulary like the planetary gear ! -

Great tractor ! Can you tell me how much does it weight please? -
Studs Vs Smooth
GuiliuG replied to Ape Fight's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As a young lego technic builder( i didn't know lego technic with studded constructions), i prefer build with studless parts. I find them more "professional" and technic than studfull one which seem to be more appropriated for model team or city. By the way, I also like models built out of studfull parts because they often look very detailed. Unfortunately, you need a lot of parts to be able to build such a model and so it is often heavier and so more fragile ( moreover you need to have the money to buy all this parts). So, I definitivly prefer build with studless parts but like seeing other technic model with studfull :) And I also think that studless is not more complicated than studfull, it's only different, each method has his avantage and desavantage ( as stated earlier in this topic). -

Large Scale Bobcat PF
GuiliuG replied to Countdown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice model ! A video would be greatly appreciated to show how it works. I think your model inspiration is from pipasseyoyo : His gallery Bobcats are amazing vehicules but really complicated to build. I tried two times to build one and never expected a good result. Maybe should i retry to build one because i have now more experience and parts. -
