DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
psqidexslizer248 replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, we need something new to discuss (preferably a Raven polybag, a exclusive set that Lego somehow managed to slip by us for this long that happens to include Raven, some indication of what Trickster will come and if it's a book or dvd if Raven appears in them at all, or just anything that translates to Lego Raven). -

Villains can fight whoever they want and have more than one enemy; that's what I'm gonna take away from this, anyway. I was thinking they would do something more like Groot if they ever did Trigon, just because he is usually pretty tall (although he can be whatever size he chooses), but a bigfig would definitely work well (probably even better). -

You can never have too many evil gorillas. They could also use the mold for Solovar and Beast Boy. And if you don't mind the Brain experimenting on Mallah's brain, you could get a second Grodd and use it as Mallah. Noted. Usually though, or at least so I thought, each hero has only one arch enemy (Batman has Joker, Superman has Lex Luthor, Green Lantern has Sinestro, Spiderman has Green Goblin) with the Flash being the exception having both Captain Cold and Reverse Flash as his arch enemies (though I think that's just because everyone is sort of split on who should be considered Flash's archenemy - it should be Captain Cold though, if you ask me). I really hope Lego goes into Teen Titans a bit more in the future, besides Raven, I would also really like Trigon, Blackfire, Terra, Brother Blood, the Hive Five (all six of them ), Chesire, Kid Flash, and Speedy. -

I honestly thought if we were going to see those characters again outside of movie sets, we would have seen them again by now. I really hoped these waves were the turning point, not the exception; guess we'll just have to see how it all plays out Well, here's hoping for Raven at least. I never really thought of Gorilla Grodd as well known for fighting the Teen Titans (I can't even recall him ever fighting them). You wouldn't be confusing him with Monsieur Mallah by any chance, would you? -

I wouldn't rule out not seeing any more Teen Titans in Lego form after Jokerland; I heard Teen Titans Go is doing well with kids (I did hear somewhere once that kids were Lego's target audience, though that's probably just a rumor ) and TNT is releasing that Titans series this fall (Lego wouldn't base anything on this show, but they could sort of tie into it). Not saying we'll see anything more for the Teen Titans, but I wouldn't rule it just yet. (Besides that, I NEED RAVEN!!!) -

I assume Lego went with the pink hair to tie in with Teen Titans Go (probably what DC insisted on). Does anyone know the cheapest way to get that hairpiece (I much prefer Starfire's red hair)? -

I think the Titans were released to coincide with Teen Titans Go and not the upcoming TNT show; otherwise, we would have gotten Raven (who supposedly will be in the show) instead of Beast Boy (who supposedly will not be). I hope you are right about the other two though, I would love to see some more of the Flash, Green Arrow, and their enemies (especially non-new-52 versions of Reverse Flash, Mirror Master, Heatwave, Weather Wizard, Pied Piper, Captain Boomerang, and Golden Glider). And with MODOK, and even a masked Wolverine (whom I guessing Lego planned to rerelease), there wasn't really any other way to do them without a new mold. -

Don't worry, I'll get back to ranting about Raven soon enough. I'm actually surprised we didn't get Deathstroke sooner; DC seems to like him almost as much as Batman and Joker. -

Not a fan of the new Robin, but Deathstroke is fantastic, best figure we've gotten in this theme so far besides maybe Captain Cold. Man you really had me going until I realized the pun you referred to wasn't you using a cold term when speaking about Captain Cold, but rather you saying his new 52 suit is good. Well played my good sir, well played indeed. I like how replacing green with silver and having him wear a mask instead of a helmet is somehow making him less goofy looking. And somehow that ridiculous hooded jacket Captain Cold is wearing is better than his iconic parka, I guess. I understand modernizing the costumes, and am fine with it, but changing things that just didn't to be changed in the first place is just stupid IMO. -

I really have no problem with the idea of modernizing the characters costumes, but the new 52 just did a horrible job IMO (the costumes are no where near as interesting, colorful, unique, or iconic as the originals were). My biggest complains with the new 52 redesigns are definitely Reverse Flash and The Rogues (Captain Cold (winner of the worst-new-52-redesign "award" by a landslide), Heatwave, Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang, Weather Wizard, Trickster, and Golden Glider) whose redesigns have little to no resemblance to the original characters (neither do the characters themselves, but that's another matter entirely... at least they made it a different, although not nearly as interesting as his predecessors, Reverse Flash so that the original designs for Eobard Thawne and Hunter Zoloman are unchanged I guess). I don't like what they did to Raven, Starfire, Joker, Harley Quinn, Lobo, Superman, Nightwing, Deathstroke, Deadshot, Amanda Waller, Darkseid, Bizzaro, Wonder Woman, Mr. Freeze, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, or Kid Flash either (that's all I could think of off the top of my head, I could probably come up with more though), but none of them are near as terrible as the Rogues and Reverse Flash. Batman characters, on the other hand, I found to be well designed for the most part and I actually like what they did for quite of few of them perhaps more than the classic designs themselves. Sorry about the rant guys (I'll get back to whining about Raven now ). -

Which was the sole reason I wanted him to have a helmet. I have gotten used to it though. I don't think Lego would see creating new head molds solely for two colored heads for Two Face and Deathstroke as the smartest investment. The red eye is actually at the bottom of the list of things I dislike about that suit. I just hate the new 52 designs in general; the classic designs are way better IMO. He's like DC's other Batman (the two are sort of similar if you think about it). Supposedly Deathstroke will be in the Suicide Squad movie; depending on how big his role is and how many sets we get for that movie (assuming it's not 0), we could see him again next year. -

Oh man, is that awful! Idon't think I'll ever be able to see out of my right eye again! I am so glad they went the way they did; the one we are getting is perfect! I still don't see how the classic is pajama Deathstroke; the new 52 one looks more like he's wearing pajamas IMO. -

Don't get your hopes up. I guess we could see one, but I doubt it. I'm not positive on how the D2C sets work, but I thought Lego released roughly one per month. Assuming this is the case, I didn't think they have all been revealed for this year yet, but in the past we have only ever gotten one a year for Super heroes and I assume this is the case for this year as well. If we do get a DC D2C set this year, I'm personally hoping/thinking they'd go with the Hall of Justice, Hall of Doom, or the Watchtower instead of Wayne Manor. A Flash Museum, Lexcorp, or Titans Tower would be great too, but rather unlikely. -

What if Lego were to split the 3 waves in half; we could get 3 comic sets in the winter, 3 B>S sets in the spring, and 3 either comic or task force x sets in the summer. -

Yeah, we better throw Batman in there. So, the figure lineup could be: Batman, Amanda Waller, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Frost or El Diablo, King Shark, and Flash or Firestrom (just to balance things out) An enclosed building does sound like it would be too expensive, though I would love to see them do it. Maybe Belle Reve could be our UCS set next year . -

Oh man, yes, King Shark would be amazing. And you know, they should probably throw in El Diablo or Killer Frost while they're at it just to be on the safe side. What about something like the original helicarrier set crossed with Arkham Asylum? (With the amount of figures I'm hoping for, Belle Reve would have to be around Jokerland price and size.) -

What about Amanda Waller? I think a $50-$70 Belle Revve set would work nicely; Boomer, Deadshot, and Harley could be escaping, Waller could serve as the prison warren, and Batman and maybe Flash can be there to stop the breakout.
