  1. Thanks, well the height might be (if close enough) once again the limiting factor for displaying it. :D
  2. Anybody crazy enough to try to guestimate the dimensions of the set from the video?
  3. Wow didn't expect that, I like what I see. The one thing that would make it even better is Fountain guard minifig, but well I guess we can't have everything.
  4. Wouldn't get my hopes up. So far besides the expensive location based "UCS" sets we got booknook caricature of one of the most iconic scenes of the whole trilogy and a overpriced helmet (oh yeah and two limited GWPs). At least people will be able to get cheaper Sauron minifig.
  5. Yay, another overpriced gimmicky set. I guess it's time to give up on expectations of regular sized / priced playscale sets.
  6. And yet both Minas Tirith Ideas projects that got 10k votes went the way of minifig interior from the back. I just don't see why would Lego designers do something else (if it's not fully microscale).
  7. Why not both? Largest and most expensive. :D
  8. That's what I meant by forcing a scene that doesn't have anything interesting on either side (confirmed even by the two pictures you chose to represent it on the rebrickable page) to a form factor that requires them. :) Anyway each to their own.
  9. Not trying to be negative but this looks like thousands of pieces "wasted" on two side walls that add very little to the scene just to fit the chosen form factor. I am not a big fan of the official LOTR book nook but at least it wasn't even more expensive because of unnecessary full gray walls.
  10. You don't seem to get the point. Nobody is saying that the quality should be low however a company will always try to lower their cost and maximize profit and since people will apparently still buy day one expensive products that they consider significantly lacking (by their own description) there is no incentive for them to neither offer higher quality nor lower price. It's that simple. But I am done, this horse has been beaten to death lot of times already.
  11. But if people are still buying sets day one after listing half a page of complaints then why would they care to deliver higher quality? :) Anyway, I just found it funny.
  12. Shame that such an iconic scene had to be forced into this particular form factor... I might still buy it eventially using some of my points to lower the insane price.
