    Looks like part of the mold and painted to me. I'd much prefer it was detachable so the cool hair would be much more versatile. I wonder if dc/wb didn't want a minidoll theme... Lego certainly is betraying themselves and their specific fans that have joined in cause of minidoll sets.

    Appears this hair will be used in Nexxo knights, the hair always looks a bit off in their weird cg show but its clearly same enough to match.

    Licensors are basically throwing themselves at WBI to get their properties in the game.

    They were licensed by warner for the game. Adventure time is cartoon network, cartoon network is owned by warner.

    Guardians of the galaxy 2 merchandise press release happened 17th june, for a may 5th movie, except for everybody assuming, that was the first confirmation of lego sets. There have yet to be any official potc5 merchandise talk. For perspective: POTC 4 lego was announced on NOVEMBER 18th 2010, ahead of a APRIL 2011 release. (lego had of course teased it with a minifig at sdcc before that but that was special) So about 5 months ahead of release..

    From the original july 7 till may 26 isn't that much of a release change. Lego sets usually launch slightly ahead of a movie so that would have put it in june ahead of original release date, that's first half of year it would be in the first catalogue for 2017. The people in the know does not seem to know much about 2017 at all, so I'm unsure why potc is kind of being ruled out. What do we actually know is coming in 2017? except lego batman movie, various super heroes sets, and dimensions packs??

    The ship is called the dying gull, it was just made out of a real life vessel called the rainbow gypsy ;) I would think they would take the opportunity to make a new Black Pearl, it's jacks ship and a bit of an icon to older fans, so its kindof a 'big deal'. people weren't too positive on the previous one, and that'll be 6 six years old. Besides in 2011 the pearl wasn't in the movie this time it is. The redcoat ship probably won't be as much of a "character" so no need for making that. I made a visual list: *used pix of pearl and queen anne's revenge from previous films for A better full view ;) redcoats on ship
