The problem is I think those helmets looks abit too unique for random orcs. I'd rather have Lego make a new orc helmet in the shape we see lots of the movies mordor orcs wearing. Also the current orcs doesent need improvement they need replacement!

I'd much rather have them give us new characthers than waste molds and prints on old ones.

Youre right, He'd be so much better than frodo in that set.

I hope if need need another Frodo that He's in a set with Faramir! As for Boromir, we don't need more of him he died in the first movie after all.

Holy moly, the hair not fitting with the armor is a HUGE flaw in my opinion. Armor on helmet off seems to be the thing with Zod in most promo material. Also, Lois' eyelashes looks WAY too slanted making her look abit angry or masculine. Amy Adams is perhaps one of the sweetests looking actresses around, her minifigure does not reflect that. Pepper Pots minifigure looks more like Amy that what they gave her.....

Thranduil didn't fin into any of the sets lego made. As for the the action figure situation. The rest of the dwarves and Radagast wasnt made into action figures till 2013 so they are just being curious with how they release stuff. Also I think at some point Thranduil was supposed to be somewhat secret. he only showed up in 1 callendar or something. Shouldn't we star hearing of set names for the upcoming sets soon? we know ffor the first wave well before comic con right?

I'd say it's not a 'real' battle pack when theres a main characther in it.

That was just a reuse of the goblin legs so I don't count them as a new orc piece really. They do work nicely for the hobbit orcs tho!

The dagger of time is in a hobbit set. Anyways, I think Dwalins beard might be used for some Random dwarf soldiers in the future. It accomadates a helmet AND it shows of the torso print. Anwyays I really hope we get atleast 1 Elf soldier, 1 Laketown soldier, and 1 dwarf soldier. Do you guys think they will still use the tired old orc minifig in 2013's hobbit sets?

Just cause they wear mithril does not mean they wont wear more armor on that. the movie would find it awully boring looking if they only wear mithil shirts akin to Frodos. Their hairpiece is designed for quiveres, the same hair will be used on Bard the bowman aswell. (speculation, but look at it and compare to movie bard, its 95% spot on)

You should remeber first LOTR wave they made an effort include all 9 from the company. in the second wave thats not a concert. Something similar will proapbly happen with hobbit.

All 13 isnt on the samle level as harry potter etc. Thorin, Bilbo and Gandalf might be. Besides I don't think the previous Hobbit sets will be all gone by december.

There isn't a need to put all 13 dwarves in again.

I think harry potter did one last small wave after that.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I thought the lego promotions in the sun have ended? -
LOTR wave 2 has the potential to sell more if the following has happened. Kids go to see The Hobbit movie, kids like the movie and want more, kid watches the LOTR trilogy and starts desiering the toys that goes with it! The simple fact that more people are aware of middle earth as a whole after the hobbit was released should possibly help sales for both themes. We certainly don't want a pesky Simpsons theme to come along and take LOTR's place in 2014.

Um.... I guess go to Lego.com? You are providing way to little detail for anyone to really be helpful I think.

In the first wave lotr's smallest set we got gandalf only in that set. for the second wave we get Saruman in the smallest set. I'd rather have unique imporant characthers than multiples unimporant ones. That said, i wouldnt mind some NEW generic soldiers

Mini MOC of Mines of Moria (Balin's Tomb)
deskp replied to darwin316's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great job, I love MOCs that incorporate the lego made sets! ( I do think your placement of Gollum sort of breaks it abit to, He'd be better hiding behind a pillar or inside one of the hole-things) -
But your not buying a figure, youre buying a magnet.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
deskp replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lego gotta slow down their use of that hair they give all their superhero themed ladies. It's rarely accurate and getting very repetative. Better alternative: Alternatively this, but it coveres up the nice torso so it's not as great. But it fits with how her hair is in the movie sometimes aswell: http://www.bricklink.com/PL/95225.jpg -
The Star wars magnets were required to be glued, So LEGO decided that all magnets would. Even if lisencing wise they weren't required to.
