  1. I did a whole series of cursed/eldritch-horror minifigs when DALL-E first launched last summer. Glad to see some things never change!
  2. This was my one Rock Raiders set and I love seeing it with all the brick-built elements replacing the many chonky custom molds.
  3. That Desert Manta is really a fantastic build.
  4. Roger roger! Anyway, here's a new render showing the POV from the pilot's box. "All I ask is a tall ship, and a, um, wall of fog to guide her by"
  5. So many great touches. I love the dolphin in the background, and the SNOT stairway
  6. this is really lovely. do you have some pictures showing the actual method of locomotion?
  7. Thanks! I was a bit worried this wouldn't be received well since it's not actually a "pirate" ship - although the source material does have some interesting pirate-y roots - I've read in a few places that the author (Terry Brooks)'s goal for the original novel (The Sword of Shannara) was to mashup Tolkienian high-fantasy with a Robert Louis Stevenson-style swashbuckler.
  8. I saw there were two together - I think it was more the foreshortening due to perspective that threw me off.
  9. Yeah, that's what I was getting at earlier when I said I was perplexed by their choices. But maybe it's like @NoOneOfImportance said and it just comes down to what concept art LFL gives them ahead of time.
  10. okay yep, that's the one I thought it was. just put me off slightly seeing how large it is next to those plates!
  11. The Ghost / Phantom / Phantom II + Captain Rex's AT-TE combo of Lego sets were phenomenal, and the Rebel Combat Frigate even docks correctly with the microfighter Ghost. That was a fantastic era of sets, I had no idea they were poorly received. I literally can't even remember a single Last Jedi set *or* Rise of Skywalker set. I have sequel era X-Wing and Y-Wing, but like...I don't even know which movies those were associated with, and none of the other sets made any kind of impression at all.
  12. I'm always perplexed by the choices Lego makes in what to productize from any given installment of Star Wars.
  13. The stippling to capture the texture of the armor is fantastic.
  14. You captured it perfectly, I didn't even have to scroll to catch the reference.
  15. agreed! awesome use of the yellow axles.
  16. I still think it's a shame we didn't get Luthen's ship or that Arrestor cruiser.
  17. Love the orange and white livery matching the Rebel pilot flight jacket It's a real shame we never got a good batch of Lego sets for the Aces ships from Resistance - somehow they picked Black Ace and Major Vonreg's Tie, which were like the two ugliest ships in the show!
  18. What are the barrels for the brick built cannons? Technic pin joiners?
  19. Is that an old exo-force turbine you've got lit up in purple?
  20. Great combo of the "viking" prow (looks a bit like a cog) with the classic aft rudder section.
  21. I'm finishing up Naomi Novik's Temeraire series (basically alt-history Napoleonic Wars with dragon air forces). You can also go back and read the old EU novels where he first appeared (same author) - there's a trilogy and a duology. Heir to the Empire is almost certainly going to be influential to the broad story strokes of Ahsoka.
  22. Yeah, that's not a bad idea. The docks should actually line up better that way, since the OG city has a little fragment. I had that setup before I got Gardens, but Gardens looked really unsatisfying joined at that other end of Docks, imo.
  23. Fantastic use of the old dragon arms for the badger!
