  1. Yes perhaps the misplaced use of the word "hate" has shifted the whole argument to another level... But to be honest when it comes on MOCs on this or whatever forum, if you say "yay, you're great, such a wonderful MOC " you're normal, whereas if you say "I dislike this and that " you're acting strange, and other people may refer you as a rude person. To improve anybody's skill you must stay real. This is my opinion. So when I see a MOC using megabloks (or if you're italian, you'd know UNIKO ), I can't like that, whatever the MOC is, for me it's no more LEGO, in my head it becomes like Playmobil... and story over. I know other people thinking like I do, like Jackjonespaw said... so it comes to me another question to all people who said that they have no problems in putting third parts' parts in their MOCs... if you happen to buy kgs of LEGO via ebay auctions, and then you find a lot of Megabloks parts, don't you feel like cheated? Well I do, if you say LEGO, LEGO must be. I have placed negative feedbacks for auctions on ebays resulting into being mix of LEGO and megabloks, and I have those megabloks re-sold in another auction I did, because they're not LEGO! I am an AFOL, not an AFOL&MB I can see that it can be difficult to understand for people who are used to mix the parts since their childhood, so I don't blame who doesn't understand me... I sometimes buy LEGO products I don't use, but I like the idea, just for making my little part into encouraging this company. I mean, clearly they will never give a damn of who I am or what I do, but I love LEGO they are part of my life and they remind me of my happy childhood, they're like a Time Machine for me... If someone for any reason feels like insulted from my words, please consider they were never meant for this purpose.
  2. Sorry I probably wasn't enough clear. I can't stand the fact itself that instead producing objects, tools, and the like, this custom molds maker are usually on guns, bombs, life vests, army caps... all things for armies, war, and so on. Why don't they mold, eg., a Vacuum Cleaner (apart from the fabuland one, we have no one) or headphones, or a washing sponge whatever you can imagine... no, they focus on destructive things, armies, and so on. And, again, Agents are created by TLC to appear fictional. Do you happen to see the enemies in that series? Do you usually fight against robotic men or people with a trans-yellow head? Nope. TLC has never intended his toys to be plaied for making representations of real war and the ONLY exception of soldiers that have been created is for the TOY STORY brand.
  3. So I am not alone. Thanks, man. I disagree with you. I think that if people cared only of their own business without looking at others' works, nobody would have put some efforts into get things better. I put a lot of efforts in my work since I actually posted pictures of a 36 baseplates castle scenario, but let me explain better: My hate for custom molds has a reason: I can't stand people creating parts for making WAR minifigures and soldiers. For the ones who play LEGO knowing their toy, will surely know that we had no green bricks for a long time because at TLC were afraid somebody could create military jeeps or tanks out of them. Though for Star Wars or Indiana Jones they created some molds with guns or machine guns, they are and will remain FICTIONAL worlds. I probably confused two things I really disagree in LEGO building and I put together in the same argument. For this, I beg pardon. It's just I really can't stand people making soldiers out of LEGO minifigures (or molding guns and bombs), and second, I feel using custom molds for bricks in a MOC (or third party) is quite like cheating because TLC did never create those ones. I was jury in a contest for best MOC for kids last month, and I pointed out that a MOC was built with a lot of megabloks pieces. Though the MOC was brilliant, I had it disqualified for this reason. So I beg pardon if I mixed up two different arguments in the same one, what I really hate is not custom molds, but war molds.
  4. I would say that in Germany these sets , The Zombies included, are available for preorder. Further more, for as much as €2.99 , you can order a 30201 which seems to be a ghost in polybag.
  5. ??? What rapid increase of price? S1 to S4 where same price, and it was just raised on S5 but nothing one can't afford...
  6. Yes, but I wanted to say that since where you live LEGO costs less than half here, perhaps it comes different the inner value you give to them! Just that.
  7. You know what? Perhaps in US it is different because LEGO cost less. Here in Italy (but I talk for myself, it is just my 2p) since LEGO are more expensive, I'd feel like it would be an horror to cut/bend on purpose some parts... Perhaps this is part of an explanation.
  8. Hello, I beg pardon if this thread has been started before, I used the search function to no result. I see on these pages often MOCs with some, or many, non-LEGO pieces (mostly in minifigures, but also in other ways).. and I often feel like "Hey, am I the only one who thinks that this is not really a MOC?" I mean, I like the idea that, for building a MOC, we should use only original parts. I was talking about that in my LUG some days ago, we saw a really beautiful Lego Train circuit.. but it ran over a diorama made with fictional NON LEGO grass, fictional NON LEGO mountains... so perhaps it makes the whole thing look greater than if it was made only by LEGO parts, but I feel this is a bit like cheating. I personally dislike brickforge and the like (and I am a proud Megabloks opposer... considering both NON LEGO products) and while I feel like it's stupid to judge people who instead use those pieces, I really do not understand them at all. I believe that if you enlarge a little the process, then everything you want can be molded to fit on a stud, but this wouldn't make a LEGO part out of it. So what do you think? Do you like using non LEGO parts in your MOCs, you simply don't care or you too think that MOCs with non LEGO part can't be your cup of tea? Thanks for reading, hope nobody feels insulted. EDIT: removed the word HATE since it's misplaced in this contest. Sorry that it will remain in the topic title. Please consider not everybody here is born in an english-speaking country.
  9. To ones saying that LotR is necessarily replacing kingdoms as castle theme, I should point that TLC considered Star Wars an indipendent theme, developing space themes during its run. Thus, IF LotR, as it really can, sells a lot, its license will be renewed every time just like SW did, and thus we can expect castle themes during LotR waves as well. Only my 2p...
  10. Thanks Angeli. Yet you don't want to tell me anything about S8, do you?

  11. Now, you put us in a dangerous situation, as now you will split the audience! Half of us eurobricker will absolutely want to read LegoNinja explaining in details how to use your genitalia. The other half would rather read a nouvelle cuisine argument than that. Come on, MrLegoNinja, please catch this while you can. Explain Cutty how to use his own genitalia! (Obviously, I'm kidding from the beginning, but you never know if someone isn't getting your joke)
  12. Thank you Sered for having hosted my diorama in your huge medieval setting. INS
  13. I can't help but congratulate with that. I was part of something really huge (at least, in my AFOL experience) and I really really enjoyed that. I hope this will inspire people, and I am ready to double my MOC the coming year.
  14. They are 36 32 x 32 baseplates :) Thank you very much I have a huge collection of trolls, orcs and skeletons, I put only a small minority on this MOC since I had no place to set them. Thanks for your greetings. :)
  15. I love LoTR, really, but it's too sad that they must stop castle sets for this reason. I mean, they did ALIEN CONQUEST during STAR WARS, and they are both a space set, aren't they? By the way I think a lot of people is hoping to revive Crusaders or Black Falcons, since the Black Falcon came back on the recent Kingdom Joust...
  16. Hello, me and my comrade Sir McLotti made a 36 baseplates fantasy/castle MOC, describing the invasion by orcs and other chaos soldiers from a portal, while a Lich King is evoking his army from a nearby graveyard. The two armies join against humans. Who will prevail? This MOC is part of the even ITLUG LATINA 2012 from our LUG, an event located in Latina, Italy (80 km out of Rome) which casted a lot of people, and made me meet other "brothers in LEGO"! If you want to see some details of this MOC please look at it on my flickr page @ My flickr page Thank you really much for looking at this.
  17. Series 3 were LIME. So both dark green, bright green and dark green haven't been used. Then we have still a lot of colors like: LIGHT (BLUISH) GRAY DARK (BLUISH) GRAY PINK SAND GREEN SAND BLUE DARK GREEN BRIGHT GREEN GREEN (REDDISH) BROWN TAN DARK TAN And I couldn't doubt about using also GOLD or SILVER! So there's still plenty of colors!
  18. I did THAT kind of playing when I was 11. Say, 12, but no more than that. It really amazes me that an adult person can play the way you define playing. It feels a bit odd. But while I don't complain when you define playing in your own way, totally different from mine, it seems you do. I am a proud army builder, and I run through the shops to secure my lego minifigures before the others do. Then I often just don't do nothing better than placing all the minifigures in a box, waiting for the right MOC to place them in. And FYI I show the MOCs not only on the internet to hundreds people I will never meet (which is NOT wrong as you can picture, but going on...) since I am a LUG member, we assemble VERY HUGE mocs (hundreds of baseplates) and we do events every year, in which kids can play (this time, the way YOU meant) with free Lego given by the LUG and WATCH without touching the big MOCs as they are meant to be just an inspiration. So next time before ranting, maybe just imagine some other scenario in which things are simply different.
  19. I fear Lego will make impossible to feel the bags as it is becoming too wide spread. I was one of the first ones, I was already able to do that on S1 because I yet didn't know about the barcodes. Now with a 0% chance of errors, I really am afraid that Lego will thicken the bags...
  20. I too feel like it is going to be spoilered in a few days. Alas I feel like this since a lot of days.
  21. I actually can't find a clue of this stated to be a fake. I wish it was because I couldn't collect this minifigs without paying them a lot. I don't like country or national releases...
