  1. waiting for minifigs series 8

  2. That would be catastrophic for my wallet. I have recently bought 100 minifig of series 7, if what you say really happens I should buy at least double that amount...
  3. They will never do a Nun, it's against their focus. By the way I am pretty sure that a convict is really possible, since they would reuse the ball and chain you can find in 30201...
  4. Indeed Palpatine's Arrest has been well concealed, but it's nearly the first time it happens. Team GB has been spoilered a month ago, and it will be released in a month. So, perhaps some shots or at least a list will be revealed within the end of June.
  5. When it was to S5 in September, last year, we had just a very undetailed picture showing only some of the minifigures and some were even not recognable. I should also add that TLC is near to the distribution phase, so there is more than someone who already know all of these minifigures!
  6. Hello. I'm giving out to you my guide to pick 100% of the minifigs without error by feeling the bags. VERY EASY: -Little Red: Since she is the only mini with short legs, and with a rubber part (the basket) you really can't miss her. -Neptune: The fish tail and the absence of legs is your key. Really easy. -Viking Woman: Go for the slope as legs. If you can find a little horn, or the shield, or the unique hairpiece with two long braids... here she is. If you don't find... -Bride: Go for the slope. Be sure you don't find any of the above parts. EASY: -Space Marine: One of the biggest parts in the series is the Space Marine Armor. It's really difficult to miss. If you still are uncertain, go for the helmet. Sometimes it can be possible to mistake the Marine Armor for the Aztec Helmet. Look for the space gun if you are still uncertain. -Aztec Warrior. Go for the round shield, the big helmet, the pike. Find 2 of these three pieces, and you're done. -Evil Knight. If you happen to find the sword or the shield, it's done (be sure, however, not to mistake the long sword with the viking short sword). If not, you have still the armour. It can't be missed for the space marine, as it has not such big shoulders. -Bunny. If you find the headgear, it's bingo. If it is concerned, you can still look for the carrot. It's not that difficult after all. MEDIUM: - Bagpiper: Of course, the bagpipe is easy to find, but not always it's on your fingertips. In this case, I suggest to spot the headgear. It has a very small ball on it. - Jungle Boy: As the bagpiper, if you find the monkey you're done. If not, remember that he has two knife's on a sprue. It is not such difficult to find them. - Computer Programmer: The laptop is the only flat piece in all this series. No 1x2 or 2x2 tiles this time. If you don't spot this part, you must look for the cup. And things become a little harder. - Daredevil. It's the only character with TWO headgears, hairs and a helmet. Strange as it can be, I always identify this guy by his visor. QUITE HARD: - Swimmer: The headgear is difficult to feel, it can be switched for a lot of other parts (like bride or nerd's hairs), so you have to find the medal. - Pacifist: Ok, he has a very unique hair, but it can be messed for other things. So keep the hair AND the flowers, to be sure you get your guy. - Tennis player. If the Tennis racquet is concerned, it's hard to identify this one on first feel. Sleepyhead's hair can be mistaken for the daredevil ones, so be sure you don't find the helmet too. - Guitarist. For me, if you get the guitar concerned (and it often does, it ends within the sheet or somewhere else), the hairpiece can be messed. If you want to get this particoular one, you must be really careful and look for the guitar, even if it takes a bit. I usually find this one by understanding it's not one of the other 15 minifigs. This way, I secured already 80 minifigures, making 2 complete series and keeping a lot of spares for me. I hope this little guide can be useful for you too. INS
  7. I will have to quote myself from this other topic : 1 - Male Ice Skater 2 - Ballerina 3 - Spanish Torero 4 - Golf Player 5 - Baker with Bread 6 - Indian Snake Charmer 7 - Medusa 8 - Postman 9 - Female Reporter 10 - Javelin Thrower 11 - Miner 12 - Invisible man, with printed coat, trans-clear head and trans-clear hands 13 - Greek/Roman woman 14 - Cafeteria Waitress 15 - Boy Scout 16 - Bowling guy with Bowling ball These are my predictions, of course none of this is a rumour, but who knows!
  8. How old is your niece? I find a little bit puzzling for a kid creating a "Drag Queen" minifig... double post???
  9. Please don't kill me for the question but... where can one find this?
  10. This is an outstanding review. My deepest congratulations.
  11. You know how much I respect your opinion, WhiteFang, but in this reasonment there is a hole. I mean, every people is usually more fascinated by new things than by old ones. In fact, I think that S7 is a very good one and I will buy 60-70 mini, but it is indeed worse (IMHO!) than S6, speaking of which I bought really a throng of minis. While I agree that the average is getting better, not every collectible serie is better than the one before it. My favourite minifig is still the spartan, who was in S2, or the Elf, who was in S3... or the Zombie who was in S1!!!
  12. Yeah I know that guy. Btw it's spelled ZEUS non ZUES. I still hope for a female elf. It would really fit!
  13. Your rumour is false. Actually, the box was presented in toy fair as black and the retailers know the release date is september 2012. INS
  14. Actually, since I would do either, I figured out myself a solution for that. The fact is that usually 99% of the parts can be found on other sets, or via third parts like bricklink, ebay and the like, while if you buy on this sites only the figures it would cost really too much. Minifigures are more than often the only "new/unique" parts in sets... so maybe this is why.
  15. So what use was your rant?
  16. I am really sorry, but you shouldn't tell other people what it's right ot not right to do. I mean, if someone is army building, feeling bags, and you don't like it, simply don't care. I think it's pretty mean to wish something to "go away soon" while you can read many people excited by this theme. I am an army builder, I like to go shops, feel the bags, grab my wanted, and build my army of minifigs. Then, home, I change heads, and I create scenarios for them. Seriously, what use is one Roman? I got 25! I can't create a roman scenario with ONE single roman! I got a lot for me, a lot for friends, and we created a half-centuria and placed in a roman scenario. It is so PLENTY of minifigures and shop that if I raid some, surely kids will find their wanted somewhere else. And if they don't, and I say "that's life" you shouldn't blame me. Because what you won't do about minifigures, would do about other things. Back on topic, minifigures are always worth the hype. Even when I got 40 or 50 minifig of that serie, I always have room for one more! S7 is near to come here, and I bought 2 S5 dwarves just because I like them. On the other hand, I really do not understand people buying blind bags. If you can choose them, why just picking random? I don't blame them for this reason, but I can't see why!
  17. Ok giving it a go :) But I would rather use different values, I mean, this is my personal value since I'm really not into judging minifigures for everybody else too. Series 1 Analysis: Excellent = Robot, Caveman, Zombie, Robin Hood (+8) Good = Ninja, Clown, Cheerleader (+3) Average = Spaceman, Crash Test Dummy, Indian, Magician, Wrestler(+0) Poor = Skater, Nurse, Cowboy, Diver (-4) Price = $2 (-0) Total Score = 7 Series 2 Analysis: Excellent= Spartan, Mexican (+4) Good = Witch, Vampire, Mime, DiscoMan, KarateGuy, Pharaoh, Skier (+7) Average = Cop, Lifeguard, Ringmaster, Surfer, Singer (+0) Poor = Explorer, Weight Lifter (-2) Price = $2 (-0) Total Score = 9 Series 3 Analysis: Excellent= Elf (+2) Good = Mummy, Samurai, Fisherman, Cyborg, Sumo, Baseball Player, Gorilla, HulaGirl (+8) Average = Indian, Rapper, Snowboarder, TennisPlayer (+0) Poor = Racer, Alien, Pilot (-3) Price = $2 (0) (Here in Italy it did not change price until series 5) Total Score = 7 Series 4 Analysis: Excellent= Musketeer, Viking, Werewolf (+6) Good = Sailor, Rocker, Frankenstein, HazmatGuy, Gnome, MadScientist, Geisha, ARTIST (+8) Average = HockeyPlayer, IceSkater, Soccer Player (+0) Poor = Skater, Surfer (-2) Price = $2 (0) Total Score = 12 You forgot about the Artist in your post! Series 6 Analysis: Excellent= Minotaur, Highlander, Roman, Genie, Leprechaun, Butcher (+12) Good = MECHANIC, StatueOfLiberty, ToyRobot, SpaceGirl, Bandit, SleepyHead (+6) Average = Alien, Surgeon (+0) Poor = Dancer, Skater (-2) Price = $3 (-1) Total Score = 15 You forgot the MECHANIC TOO!! Series 7 Analysis: Excellent= Marine, Valkyrie, Poseidon, BlackKnight (+8) Good = LittleRed, Tarzan, Nerd, Aztec, Bagpiper (+5) Average = Bride, Hippie, BunnyMan, RockerGirl (+0) Poor = Swimmer, TennisPlayer, Daredevil (-3) Price = $3 (-1) Total Score = 9 Final Rankings: 1st Place = Series 6 (15 points) 2nd Place = Series 4 (12 points) 3rd Place (2 way tie) = Series 2 & 7 (9 points) 5th Place = Series 5 (8 points) 6th Place (2 way tie) = Series 1 & 3 (7 points) Thoughts: To me also S6 is the best we had, but you should re-do your calculation since you missed out three minifigs, maybe your result would be different
  18. Or at least non fake pics By the way, there's still Angeli who claims he knows the 16 mini... INS
  19. Oh thank you... I really was feeling like I was alone in my reasonments.
  20. I can go agaisnt someone else's focus without being that person. Ok that's your opinion. I didn't ask for it, but I respect your right to tell that. No they don't. They don't EVEN limit your freedom, I wonder how they could absurdly HARM it. You are still free to do whatever you want. Say whatever you like. Write whatever you like. So please don't make confusion on important things, thanks, it would really help. By the way, since your manners are irritating me, I will stop replying to you. I surely can consider that it's me being too sensitive, but before starting a useless fight, I close this here. It's not the first time that I disagree with you and it amazes me that you have been the only user in nearly two years since I registered that I find offensive and unpolite. But again, as I said, you probably are not and it's just my problem, so maybe reading this can help you feel better. If I can, I suggest you not to bother replying me since I really won't spawn hate over hate. As I said, I'm a really pacific person and we're here basicly to discuss about a wonderful toy, not to fight each other. I really shouldn't have started this topic.
  21. I am really really sorry, and it's not a word just put there, I really am, but reading this comparison makes me want to end this argument briefly. I beg pardon but I can't continue up to this premises. I really wish you fun with our bricks.
  22. I believe they will raise the level over 10.000!
  23. Here I can read: "The LEGO play experience must never be related to real world modern warfare" So actually Brickarms goes against one of TLC focuses/missions, and all the modders who create parts for "real world modern warfare" are. So I don't really believe that TLC is encouraging these modding "companies", against what some said before. I can understand stimulating fantasy, creativity, but I share TLC missions. I don't blame people for not doing that, but I don't accept people telling me that TLC encourages modding companies because that's simply not true. Sorry I don't share your vision. I believe that if someone's creativity is representing something that is an offence to me (or to my lifestyle) I cannot respect that person's choice, like you said. I might not be entitled to disrespect the person itself, this is clear, but I feel entitled to disrespect his choices. I believe that respecting or disrespecting something is part of an individual's freedom. So I am free to respect/disrespect based on my own beliefs until I do not harm somebody else, or harm his own freedom. To make you understand my point, I would rather be offended by seeing a MOC based on black people slavery. Though it's an hystorical truth, I don't feel the urge to make such MOCs or to see such MOCs. And I strongly believe that if somebody created a LEGO ship with all black (reddish brown) minifigs in chains, and posted it here, half eurobricks would feel insulted. So same goes with my avversion to war. You can share my opinion or not, but you really can't suggest me to respect people's choice to do such MOCs or mold such parts, sorry. Again no offence meant, I am easy, it's just talking.
  24. More than 3000... I thought I was one with the fewer, it comes I own a lot...
