  1. I think Cheatster said Hahli referring to the PoW. It's weird that they're called Bionicle shells, but I'm okay with having Bionicle associated by name with such a cool piece.
  2. Hope you guys enjoy it! If anyone can sub (or translate) it, it'd be lovely.
  3. The tidbits of information are really cool! The minifig Piraka spines on the PoJ's foot predict the future. Very interesting. So that's what the Adamant Orb is made of. Pokemon and Bionicle crossover confirmed.
  4. I'd say the gold Vahi is the most valuable version (though the DIsk of Time might be more valuable, not sure) since the rusted Vahi is fairly common.
  5. I've always liked the really large heroes and villains, but I prefer them to appear as the story arc draws to a close. That's why I really, really like 08. We have the Toa Nuva and a super-sized Takanuva battling the Makuta at the core of the universe, which made for a great climax to the arc that had been growing over the years. As much as I enjoy an underdog/David and Goliath archetype, I really love the two big guys duking it out, which is why the battle between Rocka XL and Aldous is one of my favorite moments in Hero Factory.
  6. My favorite cartoon right now is Gravity Falls, followed closely by Wander Over Yonder. Gravity Falls is about the Pines twins' (Dipper and Mabel) summer in Gravity Falls, Oregon with their grunkle (great uncle) Stan, who owns the tourist trap the Mystery Shack. (With season 1 taking place in June 2012 and season 2 taking place in July 2012. If season 3 were to come, it'd take place in August 2012.) While there, Dipper finds a journal that details strange creatures and occurrences relating to Gravity Falls. The first season focuses more on the twins' (and Wendy and Soos from the Mystery Shack) summer while involving the supernatural creatures, while building up the season's villain and Dipper's desire to find the journal's author and uncover all the secrets of the town. The second season revolves around the search for the author as the stakes get higher and certain things happen which I can't talk about cause spoilers. It's a really great show with a strong sense of continuity and really well written stories, character and humor. The animation is really nice, too. Since it's not made as a sort of renewable cartoon like Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls will likely end either with season 2 or season 3. A shame, but every good story has an end in mind and at least it prevents it from running out of ideas. On the other hand, Wander Over Yonder is much less focused on the story and continuity and instead focuses primarily on the atmosphere, characters and its humor. Its atmosphere is also less creepy and mysterious ala Gravity Falls and much more lighthearted and fun. It follows the adventures of the humanoid alien Wander and his horse-ish alien friend Sylvia through space, as well as their run-ins with villain Lord Hater. It sounds dumb but it's hilarious, the humor is really clever and the episodes are really uplifting. I definitely recommend giving these two a peek. Gravity Falls starts a little slow but starts picking up the pace within a couple episodes and by the first season finale it'll have you hooked. Wander Over Yonder is more open about what order you watch the episodes (although season 2 will have a multi-episode story arc, which should be awesome). In terms of anime, I've only recently started watching anime (except Pokemon which I've watched before). My first anime was Death Note, which I really liked. Just wish ep 26-37 was closer to the manga. Then I watched Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) and I absolutely loved it. Fantastic plot and characters and quickly took my favorite spot. I started Soul Eater and I really enjoyed it, although I haven't been able to pick it up again. I watched the first episode of Sword Art Online and, once again, liked it but haven't been able to pick it up again. Soon, though, I have some time off and I plan to watch some more Soul Eater and SAO as well as start another one my friend highly recommended: Akame ga Kill. I also wanna start Code Geass, but I'll have to pace myself. :P
  7. Plus it mentioned Okoto before we got any word on it.
  8. I'm hoping they'll bundle Protector-sized Ekimu and Makuta into one set, then we get a large MoUP Makuta set and 3 others.
  9. But Lewa will still be the memetic sex god. In all seriousness, I really like Lewa. I just wish the axeheads were in silver metallic rather than titanium metallic and the neck area had more movement.
  10. Thanks VBBN, now they're totally gonna make Lewa crap poison ivy.
  11. I'll be scouting my closest TRU in a few weeks (or whenever [if whenever] we go on that ever-postponed excursion). Best case scenario, I walk out with some Bionicle sets. Worst case scenario, I pick up Queen Beast if it's there or some Mixels for MoCing purposes.
  12. VBBN just posted his LOSS review.
  13. I'd hardly say a 14 karat Bionicle mask is stupid as a collector's item, and the sets are signed by the designers.
  14. I can't wait to make a Protector Nui. Question is, whose mask shall be worn?
  15. ^^Ah okay, how about with the gearbox? ^True about the friction, though I wish we got a remolded CCBS one (friction or not, it's just the way the axle hole is positioned that's awesome)
  16. You can also connect the Mata eyestalk with a 2M axle to this piece. (That's a fantastic piece, why is it not on more sets?)
  17. You can only be a winner on one site, so in the end it doesn't matter.
  18. If I remember correctly, the Breakout torso has problems connecting with the chestplate (it doesn't connect completely and thus is quite flimsy). Is the Rahkshi staff piece from Kopaka and Pohatu metallic silver from HF?
  19. I really like this set! At first I was bummed that he didn't have trans yellow but trans neon green looks really nice with dark orange so I'm happy. Shame about the back armor (or lack (thereof) but I can see why the designers thought he was already a little too piece-heavy (though it woulda been nice to have something there). I think you'd have to add one of those balljoint extenders like on the front, even with the smallest shell size.
  20. I'm expecting January or whenever the website launches. I'm really excited for the story too. I keep watching the 4 minute retrospective from G1 and the legend animation from G2 to get me pumped.
  21. I'm gonna see what's in stock first. My Toys 'R' Us tends to stock the small sets first so I'll probably get the Protectors first.
  22. I can't wait to walk into Toys 'R' Us and come out with a shopping cart full of Bonkles.
  23. So real-life Rayquaza Mega Stone confirmed? Hilarious in hindsight, given the reaction to the fake CoroCoro scan with Gadunka's silhouette. "YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS? THIS IS A BIONICLE. WHEN GAME FREAK ADDS BIONICLE TO POKEMON, THEN THIS LEAK IS REAL." In all seriousness, I would've loved Tr. Yellow but Tr. Fluorescent Green looks really nice with Dark Orange so I'm okay with it.
  24. Pohatu has neon-green bone pieces.
