  1. That's really interesting! I'm glad that the complexity of the story was appealing to kids. Pretty much confirmed we're getting another badge mask quest. BUT NO MASK PACKS WHYY
  2. Personally I was a fan of Metru Nui, Mahri Nui and Karda Nui most of all, with Mata Nui being one of the lower settings on my list, but I'm okay with a restart to the tribal feel. I'd like more sci-fi-ness later on but I'm just looking forward to things to come. I also really liked the convulted plot but I know I'm in the minority in that and thus I hope it's more streamlined.
  3. I think Jay's referring to Okoto (or Okoto, which is it? I've seen both and I don't remember which was the right one). We got this name from an FAQ document, it's gonna be the name of the island that'll be 2015's setting if the document is legit.
  4. I read through the whole thing and while I'm not 100% sold on its authenticity, I hope it's legit. Otoko sounds really nice. The basic synopsis doesn't really say anything (minus Otoko it could apply to almost every year of Bionicle. XD) but I suppose that's good, to have more surprises further on. 5 sets for summer does sound fishy, but if they're going for large sets only, it makes sense they wanna test the waters. I'm guessing one of those will be a titan figure and have the MoCr, maybe the others will be Rahi or vehicles to try and capture the 2001 feel at its fullest.
  5. Yup, he and Hahli Mahri were missing for a year. Turns out they were together in a shoe box, also with my Bionicle Master Builder Kit. Once the 2015 sets are released, they shall mingle and play and pray that Hahli's joints do not break.
  6. I thought Hau-Arthron hybrid when I saw it. Now I really wanna make a CCBS Jaller MOC, especially since I found my long-lost Jaller Mahri some hours ago.
  7. While longer arms than legs bug me, something else that bugs me is longer thighs than lower legs and ditto for the arm equivalents.
  8. Kopaka's so manly he's barechest.
  9. Kopaka and Lewa are definitely my first targets. After that probably Gali, Tahu or LOSS. Maybe some of the cooler-looking Protectors like the Jungle and Earth ones. Then, catch 'em all over the course of the year.
  10. Tahu - I liked his prototype mask a little better but this is still pretty sweet regardless. Pohatu - The uneven arm color scheme is weird, but I love the mix of brown and silver too much to care. Gali - I'm actually digging her mask now. And flippers! LOSS - Looks great! His face looks much less goofy without the preliminary stamp. Lewa - Nothing changed, still looking awesome. Kopaka - Once again, nothing changed, still my favorite. Looking forward to seeing Onua and the protectors!
  11. I think we'll get something next Friday, then that'll be it after NYCC.
  12. The Stars weren't too bad, they made the best of the terrible Av-Matoran build. I'd say the real offenders are the Av-Matoran. But back on topic, it's most likely not gonna be marketed as LEGO TECHNIC BIONICLE, probably just an internal thing since it seems like they're mixing CCBS with Technic a lot in these sets.
  13. Then yeah I think there might be another teaser on Oct. 3 and then the full unveil at NYCC.
  14. I'm thinking they might do a teaser video before the official unveling at NYCC. When's that, again?
  15. Maybe Kanohi (or Mask if they're trying to retcon terms like Kanohi, which is an impression I got from it saying Mask) Macker is its name? Upon seeing it I first thought it was a typo, then I thought it was weird but now I think it's really cool.
  16. Definitely not what I was expecting, but really awesome nonetheless. I think one of the 3D models confirms this won't flip over other masks, and that the head will be a solid color (unless they just didn't bother to color it here).
  17. Also canisters in 2001 were there because of Toa Canisters, after that only a couple canisters had some gimmicks (like the Metru lids). While canisters are pretty to have around in shelves, they're pretty impractical for long-term storage and environmentally.
  18. I had the idea that either the skull spider colors will depend on the elements of the sets they come with or the colors of the skull spiders in all the sets (save for LOSS) would be randomized from 6 different colors.
  19. I'd love to see Vezon back. I take it the biggest reason people got annoyed by him was because he made it to too many serials? He can be brought back as the Deadpool-esque character he was but appear in fewer stories and keep his appearances important.
  20. I can't wait to see the costume they use for Tahu at Comic-Con.
  21. I'd wager there will be graphic novels, what with the success of Ninjago's own.
  22. I liked the launchers, just think they should be used more sparingly. After a Toa team uses them, give them a break for the next Toa team, then bring a new launcher if you want or keep it melee for a while. The only launcher I really didn't like was the Nynrah Ghost Blaster, shoulda kept the Midak Skyblaster. I don't want melee to be sacrificed for dual-wield blasters on Toa, though.
  23. I liked all Toa teams about equally, so I'll be happy with any. I'd love to see some new Toa in later waves, though.
  24. I kinda like the Hakann costume, at least the chestplate and lower legs are there. XD I remember making a Jaller Inika costume for Halloween 2009. Made the chestplate and limbs out of cardboard and they worked well, but the Calix. Oh God, that Calix.
  25. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to MOCing (I do mix System, Technic and CCBS, though) so I don't think I'd mod a piece. I wouldn't take away points from an MOC for having modded pieces, though.
