  1. Is it just me or does Luke's head look a lot nicer on the Australian catalog?
  2. The best written tsundere I've seen so far is Asuka Langley Soryu in Neon Genesis Evangelion (although she doesn't enter until around episode 7). Like with any other character in NGE, her background and motives are explored thoroughly, simultaneously deconstructing and justifying her tsundere trope. We're shown just how unbearable a tsundere would be in real life but at the same time we're shown that she's a real person with real depths and real reasons for acting the way she does. This show is very confusing (especially on first viewing), has a lot of symbolism (a lot of it for flavor) and the plot takes a back seat to the characters and is well worth a watch. Another tsundere character I'd say is written very well is Mein from Akame ga Kill!, she has her depths like Asuka (although they're not written to explain why she's abrasive to the MC, she's just giving him a hard time 'cause he's a newbie and she's generally not a cheery person) and is a very sympathetic character in a setting full of psychotic characters and assassins (although a lot are sympathetic, don't get me wrong, just she's more sympathetic than others). Her tsundere-ness isn't given much focus beyond her highlight episode early on so it just shies away behind her other characteristics. While the show can be a bit harem-y at times, the romance takes a back seat to the action and the drama and the characters make it a joy (and a heartbreak) to watch. Some criticize it for its edginess and its rushed anime-only ending (since the manga is still running), but I'd recommend either the anime or the manga wholeheartedly.
  3. I agree, something that makes sets like Gali stand out for me is the use of their color scheme. Gali's combination of azure, gunmetal and silver works perfectly in my eyes.
  4. I remember getting Glatorian Mata Nui the week I finished school that year (which is mid-May where I live). Were the Legends released earlier than most summer waves or can they potentially be found as soon as May?
  5. Yeah, I liked it for being something different but I much preferred EoE. You can watch End of Evangelion before Rebuild 3.0+1.0 comes out, it's just the true ending to the series. Death and Rebirth is unnecessary, though, just a clip show with 30 minutes of EoE tacked in. And yeah, I saw EvAbridged (was actually rewatching two days ago), best abridged series ever. xD
  6. Have you seen Neon Genesis Evangelion? It's a bit dated and not for everybody but definitely worth watching for any anime or sci-fi fan.
  7. I watched the first episode a bit back and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to finish the series when I get some free time. I heard its story is pretty simple, it's just the bizarre storytelling and happenings that are confusing.
  8. A lot of the anime suggested are also on Hulu and Crunchyroll free (I know FLCL is on Hulu and Parasyte is on Crunchyroll), so if anything tickles your fancy but isn't on Netflix, you can check there. I know at least Death Note is on Netflix and that they also have a lot of other shonen series.
  9. If anyone asked me if they should watch TTGL I'd say yes, but some people are put off by the focus on the action so I thought I'd put a warning. I also forgot to mention Akame ga Kill!, which is a really dark shonen series which takes place in a fantasy setting.
  10. Stuff I really enjoyed and would suggest for anyone to give a shot: Death Note Parasyte -the maxim- (Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu) Soul Eater Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica) Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (abbreviated: AnoHana; English: We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw Yesterday) Stuff I really enjoyed but might not be for everyone: (and a reason for why not) Mirai Nikki (lots of violence and confusing story later on) Neon Genesis Evangelion (lots of connect-the-dots storytelling and more focus on psychology than story) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (focus on over-the-top ridiculously awesome action and not meant to be taken too seriously) Kill la Kill (same as TTGL but with a healthy dose of fanservice added) High School DxD (harem series, extremely fanservice-y and stars devils, which may offend religious people (although angels aren't portrayed as the villains)
  11. Not sure if this was mentioned earlier, but in the latest Lego Club Magazine there's a Bionicle spread that advertises the poll on the Club website and has stats on the Toa's power, special abilities, intelligence, weaponry, fear factory and luck on a scale of one to 10 (although nobody scored lower than a 3 on anything and the only 10 is Tahu's luck). I find it amusing that Lewa's luck is the lowest of them all (5).
  12. Wait, when? Regardless, the Torchwood 3 Hub would be fantastic for an uber-expensive sets like the SHIELD Helicarrier, since those are aimed at adult collectors. I doubt they'd make more than that (if at all), though, since Torchwood is most definitely not family-friendly.
  13. Regrettably, they were all eaten by a Muaka. Tragic event.

  15. The Doctor in question (Matt Smith, 11th Doctor) does have dark hair so if they were to make a hairpiece with a fez, it would most certainly be black hair. Considering how well known Matt's fez is, I'm sure they'd incorporate it somewhere, especially if they make a set based on a scene from one of the episodes with the fez (The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, A Christmas Carol or Day of the Doctor, the last one is most likely to get one if at all).
  16. Thanks! I was worried it wouldn't come out quite as well as I thought Medic came out, but I'm satisfied with it and I'm glad to see someone else is too.

This Toa Fortress was invaded by Frostelus and the stone was stolen by the Piraka in the confusion, as the Toa team that guarded it died (except for some loser who went on to... *script-checking noises* set the stage for 6 of the world's most important heroes). *cue mlg sad music* But what if Frostelus never attacked and Makoki Stone guard team never died? Well in this universe, the Brotherhood of Makuta still wanted the Makoki Stone badly, so they hired a team of Toa mercenaries to defeat the Makoki Stone guard team and gather the stone, and thus began the Toa Civil War. The Order of Mata Nui stepped in and hired a team of Toa mercenaries themselves to help the Makoki Stone guard team combat the Brotherhood's team. When they did well enough on their own, the original Makoki Stone guard team was disbanded and the members went to various other locations. As the battles escalated, the Dark Hunters saw profit in this and secretly offered both the Brotherhood and the Order help, thus effectively managing both sides of the war. The Dark Hunters sold both sides cutting-edge weaponry, Kanohi, armor (color-coded for the Dark Hunters' convenience) and information on the other team's moves. Thus the story brings us to our star for today: the Order of Mata Nui's team's pyromaniac, a Toa of Fire that doesn't really call himself anything (in fact he never says anything at all, we don't know if he's even a he or even a Toa of Fire, we just assume that too!) but others call him "Pyro". He wields an Order-issued Flamethrower that can store air in the tank and burst it out at the target to blow them away. Pyro doesn't have a proper Kanohi, just a powerless makeshift mask similar to Hydraxon's. In a mad quest for knowledge driven by curiosity, we used an experimental mind-reading machine that the Order had laying around to see inside Pyro's memories. What we saw was a bit strange, we think the machine malfunctioned. We saw a colorful land full of rainbows and unicorns where Pyro was shooting strange baby-like Toa with rainbows, bubbles and lollipops. It's a bit strange, so we'll discard that. Without further ado, meet the Pyro!
  18. I have to say that so far the first episode is my least favorite, the second has a better structure (and is way funnier) and the other 2 I watched were lot funnier and more interesting.
  19. I thought it premiered a while back? But yeah, it's great. The episodes that follow are surprisingly darkly humorous, I love it.
  20. Wait, isn't it that they pick 6 winners each week but don't reward them, then tally up the overall 36 winners and award 6 people from there?
  21. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Daleks are usable anywhere in merchandise so long as they appear at least once every season, which was the deal (I believe) RTD and Moff cut with the Terry Nation Estate.
  22. If it ever were successful enough to warrant multiple sets, I reckon it should get a set for every Doctor (except post-Meta-Crisis 10 cause that's just Tennant from Journey's End to The End of Time). I'm not very familiar with 1 or 2's episodes so I can't really suggest episodes of theirs to make sets out of but 3 could be Terror of the Autons, featuring a scene with 3 driving Bessie alongside the Brig while fighting Autons and the Master, 4 could be a scene from The Deadly Assassin with Borusa, Sarah Jane (even though she's not in the episode, she deserves a minifigure) and the decrepit Master, 5 I'm not really sure, maybe a bit from Earthshock with Cybermen and Adric, 6 could be a courtroom scene from Trial of a Time Lord with Mel and the Valeyard, 7 probably something from Remembrance of the Daleks with Ace (<3), Davros and Daleks, 8 I really dunno since he only appeared in the movies and I doubt Lego would make sets of the audiobooks, 9 could be something from Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways with Jack Harkness (<3), Rose and the Daleks, 10 could be the scene from Journey's End in the TARDIS (as suggested earlier), 11 could be a bit from The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang with Amy, Rory and River (<3 to all) and 12 could be a scene from Dark Water/Death in Heaven with Missy (<3), Clara and Cybermen. War could be featured in a special edition set with 10, 11, Clara and the Curator. I'd also love a set of the Torchwood hub with Jack, Gwen, Ianto, Owen, Tosh and Suzi but that's even less realistic than what I just suggested before, which is very unrealistic wishful thinking.
  23. Not sure how that'd work, since a solid gold piece would make the box feel heavier.
  24. My favorite dub so far has been Death Note. I just really like Light, L, Ryuk and Misa's voices there. Gurren Lagann was pretty good but I still prefer the sub. I haven't watched Code Geass yet (hopefully will soon), but I'm probably gonna watch subbed first and then eventually dubbed.
