Blufiji replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Do I need to post my newer builds im here or is this thread closing? -
I like the touches of lavender and the feel of melting snow.
-
As I said on flickr, this is an excellent build. The snow drifts and the boat are especially nice.
-
The rock work is superb among with many of the other details, particularly the colors. That olive green roof with the brown and tan tiles works great!

Thanks! Thanks man! Hahahahahaha thanks Cap! Thank you! I usually work my way around to the smaller tighter sections..just maes the entire build more structurally sound I think. Thanks Gabe!

The setting for your story really had my mind going with the descriptions. I wouldn't mind seeing the Boulderbogs fleshed out a bit more in future builds sir.

Above the clouds - the great merchant's lift of Sultan's Gate
Blufiji replied to Gabe's topic in Guilds of Historica
I remember seeing this build when I first joined GOH..then I found it on flicker. The architecture is stunning true enough..but the way you designed the build to really give that "above the cloud perspective" with the whites, pinks and blues is what impresses me the most.- 39 replies

Very detailed intro to your mercenary team, I enjoyed the read and the descriptions very much. I'm looking forward to the many battles to coem for them. -
Very unique build..but of course that's what Nocturnus is about after all!
-
Your city (or city square rather) is amazing sir. I like the fountain, the colors and the overall liveliness to it. Also the people working on the floors is a nice touch indeed.

Good texturing on the battlements, and the backside looks stable enough. The arrow slits are nice as well. I am a bit jealous, wish I ahd as many blue falcon figures as you haha.

I can imagine a downtown full of detailed skyscrapers like this one. Great work!
-
Great intro to your character. I particularly like the weapon on that demon.

Guarded Treasure: Chest of the Wailing Banshee

I like the landscaping and editing effect, but that tree sets the mood. Didn't know Avalonia had scary places like that. -
Nice, really has an ancient feel to it!
-
Thanks! The wooden sections on the towers were a last minute add and they turned out well I think. Thanks Gunman! Thanks man! Thank you sir! Thank you very much sir!

The snot work and the organic shaped doorway is very unique and amazing. Great job! -
Awesome tavern. Good job hanging the animals on the wall as trohpies.
-
The texturing of the walls, the stain glass windows and that crack are very nicely done.

Explore is weird like that. It's some sort of Algorithim thing. Welcome Sunder to the darklands! -
Thanks LJ! I'm glad you enjoyed the details Milo! I wanted to keep some consistency with my previous build in the area, so I thought I should start there. Thanks Kai! Thanks Leo! Again I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Man! Thanks! Thanks man! I drew ALOT of inspiration from the builds here as far as realism. This was easily my most fun build to date for me personally. Thanks!

I am a fan of what Cable said-maybe one build per builder..max 2? So that there is a wide representation of building styles among the posters.

Thanks Mike! Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the endorsement. I tend not to go too off the path with techniques, just try to make them cleaner and more interesting. Thanks man! Thank you sir! I think they are my favorite part of the build as well. Thank you! I was hoping to make the ridges a bit higher, but they came out well. Thanks! I almost used orange instead of purple haha. Thanks man! Thank you also for that endorsement. I'm glad you enjoyed the build. Did you spot your character in there?! Haha thanks Titus! Thanks Umbra! Thanks Isaac. My favorite part of this entire build are the wooden additions on the towers. And the irregular base is inspired alot by you and two other builders. Thanks again! Let's not get crazy. I mean, It's Nordheim Keep! haha

Lord Alric and Gal Turok had been traveling for a few days now in the deep woods of the Rakath. To say their journey was perilous was an understatement. They had to avoid several Drow patrols, and a few other unwelcomed denizens that were thrown along their path. However their journey was nearing it's end. "You know it's something else in these lands. It's nearly high noon and yet this forest looks like it's always sunset. It's a quite stunning in an eerie sort of way." Alric spoke to his new ally. Gal Turok chuckled underneath his helm and replied. " It may not be the beauty you are used to Avalonian, but these lands have their own ways and charm about them." Just as he finished his sentence, Alric noticed a tower rising out of the distance. "We are here" Gal Turok, spoke. "Where is here?" Alric replied as his horse inched closer to the castle walls. "This is Evenfall Castle. We are near the borders of The Reach and it is here that you will meet with a member of the Goblin Council, to discuss the exact terms of our new pact." So here is my latest build. I hope you guys enjoy it..as this was very fun building it. More shots on my flickr link if you guys are interested. Happy Building and thanks for stopping by.
