They finished it about a month ago if I recall correctly. It's done but it doesn't air until July.

The skullvillains were really bland, not essentially bad. It's not a surprise they filled the clearance. Their main color was silver, what did you expect to happen? with brick yellow instead you would had at least invoked some of that 80s nostalgia, but they went with the more relevant robot skeleton designs instead, terminators. I still think the skeleton figures in Ninjago were absolutely horrible but at least all the vehicles and equipment made them look more interesting and creative.

As there is an existing community, there's not that big drive for people to create a new one. I am not saying Bionicle community has had a tremendous impact but just remember how we laughed and mocked everyone who liked Hero Factory? Plenty of kids must have gotten disturbed by that and thus they never integrated.

Yeah, I didn't count that. But Ninjago and Nexo Knights still make it so you can get one or two main heroes for really cheap prize. They always include at least one $10 set with one of the main characters.

I'm gonna point on the fact that the main heroes are too expensive. People can't afford them all. I'm not saying they are overpriced but it's almost a dream scenario for a kid to have all the heroes, let alone buy any villains on top of that. I believe things like the Ultimate Nexo Knights sets are a direct response to that. Kids like guns and sci-fi. Current Bionicle doesn't really offer much of that. There's not much of interraction with the sets and the media either. For Hero Factory you at least had those weird codes that encourage kids to go on the website and get hooked on the theme. With all the price rises the formula of G1 just doesn't work anymore. The heroes should be the impulse buy. Not some unnamed figure or a bird that barely appears in the story. The smallest sets could be almost polybag tier and be in much lesser quantity.

If it paves a way for a "better" constraction line then sure why not. Just don't take another five years to announce it. But there's the possibility of just killing in-house constraction completely and sticking to licensed figures, which might as well kill all of my interest with Lego in general. More so even because they might as well not even release the future SW figures here. It's not a everyday thing to see a clearance Grievious.

Best bet for the two rare gold pieces at the moment seems to be Lloyd and dragon dimensions fun pack: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=71239-1

Will the sets be dead on the arrival? http://pagesix.com/2...star-wars-film/ Not this alone, but the marketing has been just plain awful and age rating is for older kids. How they can sell the sets if they won't get name recognition?

Corrupted by the Mask of Control, Umarak the Destroyer is now summoning an enemy of Elemental Beasts to wage war on the LEGO® BIONICLE® heroes. Sets are put on the site with all of them having release date for June 1st. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/BIONICLE-Theme Weirdly enough Quake and Umarak still have placeholders.

In some cases for sure but Lava Beast for example, given the parts we have and it's prize a concept like that could had not been realized better than this. Aside from changing dark orange legs to black or gray I've yet to see anyone come up with and idea how to improve it that isn't about adding more to the set, instead of replacing it's design. Most of his flaws are directly tied to the prize tag.

We know there will be. Heftiest rumors of what those could be are Boba Fett and Han Solo, though hardly any word of the third. Some are even toying with an another Darth Vader. Hmm. These all three were on the same page, despite the Death Troopper being a bad guy, you would expect them to arrange bad guys and good guys on different pages. These three are completely new to canon and Boba and Han are not. Could this mean the second page consists of classic characters appearing on the film? Meaning the third will be a classic too?

One new universally used mold, yet it's only in one color and molds for the heads. and a new torso armor mold, barely any recolors. (idk if Death Trooppers cloak thing counts as a mold) it's significantly less "new" parts than the beasts have yet these look so much better executed and remain faithful to the original concept really well. Almost feels like they used this summer's Bionicle just to experiment instead of trying to make a sellable product. But I guess the hefty price tag helps to come up with these more polished designs.

I seriously thought the armspan of his function would had been at least a bit larger. That looks just really meh.

First book was a retelling of the animations and it had Tahu, second was about the protectors and it had Vizuna. So basing on that I would say this focuses on thew toa.
-
Escape From The Underworld has a new cover: http://www.amazon.co... chapter book 3 So it's primary focus is the toa if the cover is anything to go by.

Well they are at least a bit taller than the last years bad guys, who mainly suffered because of most of their length was pre-determined because of the bone mold. But with these, does it really cost that much to use a bit longer bones for thighs? There's hardly any difference with the amount of plastic between the two sizes. Big head, big torso but stubby legs, they have proportions of a child.

Why Kopaka was chosen to be bundled with Melum. Why the Uniter torso shell is one big part and not in two Why instead of giving the beasts jaws that could be closed you gave them the "mask punching" function Why Ketar has the old vorox armor mold in tan but Pohatu in silver and more why you chose to use so many different shades of brown on these two sets. Was Kivoda the blue protector originally meant to be female and follow the design rules of G1? Why Skull Grinder doesn't have more friction on his mechanism Was Umarak the Destroyer originally meant to have a gearbox as shown in the build or was it in the beginning meant to be just part of the structure. Why Ekimu, Umarak the Destroyer and the beasts use the old eyestalk mold and not the one introduced with the Uniters/Umarak The Hunter Is there a design for the Ice trap that is different to the one in The Journey to One? Can we expect to see concept art of the summer sets as well?
-
I myself have learnt the build trough and trough but what is your opinion of the crystal punching function? To me it looks like it has more parts than needed to perform it and even then it looks pretty meh. But how's the real thing?
