  1. If its not Mr. Mom.... It’s, Multiplicity
  2. Usually I don't buy souvenirs but I take lots of Photos. however I also usually plan a vacation build too, Lego is a way I relax and on vacation what better way then to sit in an Ocean front hotel room and listen to the Sea while building The Imperial Flagship(10210). that was probably the best part of that vacation to me. other trips have been cars while in Daytona, or the Log cabin while on a cabin trip these were all pre-purchased for the trip though so not really a souvenir. Also until now I hadn't realized I had been doing that regularly, time to make it officially a new Tradition!
  3. Man, deadline came so fast, I'm still learning that Life as a new daddy means building time is non existent, guess I'll just have to post what might have been an entry later when ever I get time to complete it.
  4. There have been a few members talking about getting 2 or 3 of the F40 to make a standard, a F40-LM, and the above posted 288 GTO-Evoluzione (something that I too would like to do but doubt the Wife would agree to let me) . I personally think the 288 Evo looks stunning except for the nose, I'm not really sure what happened there, granted I know this was basically a test mule and style was second to function it still feels cheap and plain when you have that amazing rear from the 288 curves following it.
  5. woops forgot to post something yesterday... I guess next person can take my spot

  8. based on the dimensions of the car I found it needs to be 4 studs longer over all, 1 stud rear or the rear tires, 2 studs between front and rear tires. and 1 stud forward of front tires. that said I would/will personally be leaving the nose as is, and only add the other 3 studs over all.
  9. ok, granted it is smaller than you had wanted to see, when has Lego made a Creator/System car wider than 16wide? I ask because I honestly don't know of one, and its on that basis that this car is exactly the size I expected it to be. also in reference to the Camper Van, and Mini Cooper, those are already off scale to each other, so what made anyone think that the F40 would match either of their scales (which as I pointed out earlier that the F40 is actually at 1:14 same as the Camper in all dimensions except length which is 1:16) so for those wanting a car to match scale with previous Expert cars you basically did receive one. for those that wanted something bigger please point to something similar Lego has previously done.Ok, with that said I’m fairly sure that had Lego done what you had hoped for I would be here jumping up and down in delight as I looked at a 24-28w F40 with full suspension, steering, technic chassis, and who knows what other amazing treats. And a piece count well over 2000. I’d pay virtually any price Lego could come up with for a well-designed F40 (in any scale) Disclaimer: I am not a huge Ferrari fan and the F40 isn’t even near my top 20 cars of all time but it’s an automotive icon and as such I still love it Side interest if anyone cares, top 3 cars all fighting for number one : Lamborghini Miura SV, Jaguar XJ13, and Pagani Huayra.
  10. I saw that too, the Logo was subtle and clever very nice. as for the box art it reminds me of 80s/90s wall posters the kind the F40 itself would have adorned. (which I view as a good thing)
  11. my numbers are coming in at 1:14 for width, height and rim/tire size. length though is about 1:16... looks like it needs a slight stretch to hit a fair scale to the VW camper which would leave only the Mini Cooper out of scale. and with that i'm sold on it, cant wait to own one (maybe 2 if I can convince the wife)

If they are mechanically still in working order you could probably sell them to someone who wants to rebuild them, if not then a trip to a scrapyard or junkyard will be in your future (might get a few bucks there too though not likely much) oh I guess you could just leave em road side with a Free sign.
  13. discussion thread is in the licensed forum: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103991&st=0 (we expect images soon)
  14. and then you have a nice clean brick ready to be used for MOCs for years and years! (I personally don't sticker things, so the end result is the same)
  15. if you plan to get an X-wing at some point get it earlier rather than later, slave 1 has an expected year still on the shelves while X-wing has already been out 2 years and has to be nearing EoL.
  16. thanks for the thread, that lines up with what I have here really well. I've a few old Tyco parts (no complete models) so it must have came from those. now the question is to use or not to use
  17. ok, I'm normally very good at distinguishing pieces from other brands and Lego parts BUT i just cant tell on this one. I've had them for a very long time (early 90s late 80s i believe) no numbers, no logo, thickness is 1.5 plates tall enough for studs in both sides without touching. feels like Lego plastic, and has comparable clutching strength. if you know anything about these ones I'm very interested to know where they came from.
  18. simultaneously the "Lurkers" are already slow or hesitant to join and if they were to finally find a thread they wanted to comment on only to be told, hey thanks for joining wait 24hours and then you can comment. I imagine a decent number would then say "not worth the hassle, I'll just not register" and that's that. and really I doubt the 24hr delay would stop a spammer, if they are going website to website they probably will just wait the day and spam then with which ever sites they were going to do that day anyway.

  20. my take away after looking of those pictures I'm left with a single complaint about the Ferrari F40. man are those some old tail lights! yes I know the car is near 3 decades old but the rest of the car is flawlessly aged it screams 80s styling but would still give modern supercars a run for their money on the looks all the way around... till you reach those thick round heavily refracted tail light covers... don't get me wrong I know that was the norm in the day but its the only part of the car that underwhelms when so much of it overwhelms.
  21. I've always wanted an Epsilon Starcracker figure, (not one of the main 4) his unique blaster would be epic to have. but I also agree I would love to see a full fledged LU CMF line though it would be hard to pick which figs (aside from the main 4) would go into a CFM line.

  23. aww no love for Michigan that stinks, well good luck to others hoping for a nice haul of bricks and the value looks to be over all better than the cups tend to be.
  24. there fixed it for you (and everyone else in this thread I imagine)
