Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
slugdude replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Based on the fact that the Avengers game is based on the Marvel studios films, I've compiled a list of possible exclusive figures to come with the game: Iron man Mk II-V (Mk I is unlikely due to new molds) Ivan Vanko (first suit) Laufey Odin Red Skull Either Cap 1 suit or the stealth suit Coulson (Oh yay, just in time for the Helicarrier rumors to be squashed -_-) Any Iron man 3 suit War machine Mk I Movie-accurate winter soldier Falcon (unlikely due to wings) a multitude of GotG figs (unlikely) and, of course, any AoU figs that couldn't make it into sets due to spoilers or just not being important enough This is just a prediction/wish list based on important characters who have appeared in the films. Feel free to inform me if I missed anyone important. -

The face print on the preliminary image, unfortunately, seems to have the small eyes and white teeth of the ultimate version. I, personally, would be fine with the ultimate design if it was from the comic and not the horrendous TV show. -
Went to my local USA lego store yesterday to find out when new sets are coming, they are out today. Talk about perfect timing Now I have to wait a few days to go back as I spent all money on other things.

I'm guessing the extra arms will just be Chima spider legs. -
I absolutely love the model, but that yellow Nora is skeeving me out Good work!

Am I the only one who's sad that Marvel is stealing the show again this year? I honestly prefer Marvel to DC, but it's a little ridiculous. We finally get a Justice League wave, then Marvel gets Avengers, more Spidey and an Antman set, while DC just gets more Batman and maybe a Teen Titans (which is missing half the members). I'm happy with the DC selection, it's just that Marvel has gotten two unique and interesting waves a year for the past two years and DC is still giving us all Batman waves. I think it's time for DC to seriously step their game up.

So glad to see more pics! As for the Carnage set, I don't think we'll see many shield characters, the set's probably only $12-20 USD based on the fact that the rhino/sandman and antman sets will probably be more expensive. At best, I expect to see a Spidey (hopefully new variant), Carnage (duh), and a random shield officer on a small vehicle (possibly possessed by carnage like in shattered dimensions) -

I really hope the sandman set has a giant brick built sandman. It would be great if we got the mine from shattered dimensions, they could even throw in the drill car. -

Judging by the rumors I have heard, the Civil War storyline will continue into several of the phase 3 Marvel films, which means Cap could die, the war continues, and Cap is revived (like Coulson) in time for the Infinity War, which would reunite the avengers. They have killed major characters before and I wouldn't be surprised if Cap died. It's just not worth your energy to say the movie isn't a "real" civil war storyline just because they change a couple things, AOU's plot is nothing like the comic but it still looks like a great film. -

It has been officially confirmed by Marvel that Iron man will be the "villain" in civil war, clips from AOU heavily foreshadow a split between the superhuman community, and Cap is going to form a new Avengers team (likely the Secret Avengers) which seems, to me, to be a response to whatever causes the civil war. In light of the evidence above, it seems likely that the movie will follow a similar structure to the comic while having a fresh, unique plot. -
You could use the collectable minifigure nurse body

Lego seems to favor DC because DC and Warner brothers are doing much worse than Marvel on most fronts, so they are urging Lego to make more movies, games, ads, etc. so they can better compete with Marvel. Marvel gets many more sets per year with many marketable characters and even ones many people don't know, DC has much less well-known characters so they only make a few sets with Batman every year. Ergo, they need more non-system products to keep up with Marvel. -

I gotta bad feeling The Vision will be a polybag deal. I can't shell out $70 bucks in the middle of the year for Lego. I already missed a bunch of great figs this way. -

Spider man sold 1.2 billion usd worth of merchandise this year so far. Avengers sold less than 300 million. and Batman sold less than 500 million. I think it's a safe bet that we're getting more spidey sets Source: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/superhero-earns-13-billion-a-748281?utm_source=pulsenews&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+thr%2Fnews+%28The+Hollywood+Reporter+-+Top+Stories%29 -
This is superb. It has an atmosphere to it that's hard to create with Lego and the lighting is excellent. The computer, in particular, catches my eye. Where did you get the stickers? And are the monitors painted or are they existing pieces?

Not to get too preachy or anything but I thought Wonder Woman's pants design was wonderful and very progressive but then they just took them away when they made the comics. It could have been one of the better new 52 designs. Kudos on using a good design Lego.

Yeah guys, let's not talk about the Braniac set and the wonderful wave full of diverse characters we're getting. What we should do is speculate and complain about Batzarro and the made up fairytale sets and exclusive figures that will never happen. Seriously, we have an excellent wave of great sets that we should be grateful for and all you can do is try to convince yourselves that we're getting one more set or one more figure. Bizarro is an exclusive and it will likely stay that way.

I think the worst part about Arrow is his light green waist, they should have made it the same color as the legs.

Well, the helicarrier is a timeless part of the Marvel universe that has been in the comics, cartoons, and other media for decades. Same with SHIELD, so I don't think neither being in the movies anymore means it is unlikely we'll see the set. In addition, Avengers and cap 2 are recent enough that any kid with two brain cells to rub together can remember what the helicarrier is. -
Can't wait to get a better look at Anakin's starfighter. As an avid fan of Genndy Tartakovsky, I'm quite excited to see if Lego did his character designs justice. From what I can see of Ventress, It looks like they did. Can't wait to get a version of her that doesn't look horrible.

My God, the day has finally come. Good riddance USM, you unworthy mockery of an amazing title! Maybe we'll finally see more sets with character designs that won't make me wanna vomit. And as for White Tiger, who needs her? Spider man works alone. He shouldn't live under shield's thumb, or be an avenger, or part of the FF, or have a team of c-list losers (just kidding, I like those heroes when they are alone and/or without Spidey). I want some good ol' fashioned Spider-Man fighting comic style villains (Green Goblin pls). -
My list of Fig wants: Deathstroke. You could just use a sharpie and do it yourself.

It's likely that those sets are a mixture between Ant-man, Spider-man, and Avengers Assemble. And why would Lego make an Avengers tower and a D2C of the same thing? Way too redundant.
