Heroica RPG - Quest #136: The Sorcerer's Stone
Yzalirk replied to Purpearljellyblob's topic in The Heroica Archive
Mhinak makes a distinct deep toned laugh, "Not on yours. I noticed the table back where the elves were. It appeared that they were positioned to to defend for an attack. You have been saying that the Star Elves constantly attack your people. You, you are just a petty liar. I do not believe that we should be helping you. We are not your henchmen." Mhinak then turns to the party, "You are all great people and I feel that I am blessed to have met you all however, I do not agree with your ideas in helping Bain. I just want to return the artifacts and find the Brown Nekrastone. Getting involved in a civil war is not why I signed up to come here. Now, I am going forth to Valasabhad like the two Star Elves instructed us to go. I do not expect for you guys to follow me for I do not share the same opinions as you. But before I go, there is something important I must ask..." Mhinak points his attention to Elnath in particular, "Do you have anything that Polly may have used or held onto? I think Inki might be able to smell around to make sure that Polly is here and if she is, I will stay... for her." -
Then I must wait.

I will be looking forward to seeing the event tomorrow.

Heroica RPG - Quest #136: The Sorcerer's Stone

"Yeah, what if ordinary weapons cannot hurt these ghostly entities? I really want to save the dragon but is the risk worth it? The elves said that Latte should be coming here soon... unless they were bluffing." "Na'im, that book you found. Do you think you read a phrase or something that'll release the dragon? If you screw it up, than I think we should leave the dragon and get this Eckmar guy. Time is most certainly of the essence here." -

Mhinak puts away his shovel and begins to rondevous with the party. He walks back into the quarters again, to see that it is a mess from all the searching. He kneels down to the dead elves, crosses his arms and bows his head and begins to sing a Dwarfish prayer. He then closes the eyes of each elf that lay there. After that, he begins to get back up again with the help of the battle table, which catches his eye. He notcies the formation and quickly learns of the elves' strategy. It struck him as odd, especially since Bain kept insisting that they are the attackers, not defenders. He rejoins the group in front of the Dungeon Door and says nothing. -

"Um... that did not sound good. Should we dig this thing up?" Mhinak also whistles for Inki to be with him. -

"Good idea, Elnath. Try using some ordinary keys. I would be damned if that worked... still, it doesn't hurt to try." Mhinak rips his shovel from his back and begins to dig around the stones with the others. -

Lego themes that we would like to happen
Yzalirk replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would really love to see some sort of Post-Apocalyptic LEGO theme, either it be Mad Max, Fallout, or even LEGO's own theme. There's lots of book and movies based on this theme and I would love to see it. Mad Max would be great because the movies were great, there is a video game, and there are plans for a new Mad Max movie too. Fallout would also be cool too because it's a bit wacky and it is great for overall sets. Fallout 4 is going to be a great hit in November, I can just tell, and I would really love to relive those old memories with LEGO's too. Some may say this theme is pretty violent but so was Lord of the Rings. If LEGO can do a Castle theme, I don't see why they can't do this theme or even a Steampunk theme. I would still love that too.- 451 replies

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Yzalirk replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Back on the subject of the minifigures I mentioned before, I've decided to get some Fili and Balin minifigures because I just had this awesome idea I could use with them. I am thinking of incorporating roles for them, as if they are like houses or small factions, dedicated to certain things inspired by the color of their armor. I think that would be a great way to introduce my sig-fig and a possible storyline. -
The main build is excellent and full of details but I find that the story seems a bit cliche, to become a lord, and lackluster. You should explain what he has done, or does, to have made him a lord of Kaliphlin otherwise it just feels like you've made him a famous figure in over a night for having no accomplishments.

Heroica RPG - Quest #136: The Sorcerer's Stone
Yzalirk replied to Purpearljellyblob's topic in The Heroica Archive
"The truth is different to each person and that's what makes us all different. I've lived by the rule of logic for as long as I can remember. Sometimes it may not be ethical and sometimes it may be. That's why I believe the Fenarians shouldn't get the Blue Nekrastone, they'll abuse it's power once again and this time, it may be worse." OoC: Thanks! -

"No, not you personally, but for you to steal and to bring to your king. If you do in fact take that stone, you will be accountable for genocide to Krimwood. I will kill you if you do intend to do that." "I know, c'mon, you know what I meant. It definitely does seem that the Star Elves are more passionate about Krimwood compared to the Fenarians." "There's always going to be that one person who will hold a grudge if they believe you choose wrong. I'm just telling you to be rational about the decision, there will full on war between the Star Elves and Fenarians if they have a Nekrastone. And judging by historic events, they don't seem capable of being in control of such power." "We could have just as easily left you suffocating in those webs back in Krimwood. To me, yer a snake. I don't know what the others see in you but you haven't been truthful since we met you, especially with Latte being friends with Eckmar at one point." "Then this war is ours to fight. It's between the Star Elves and your people. You've left this life behind, don't let it take yours. We came here to return the seal and the Blue Nekrastone, not to help fight a civil war. We may be mercenaries but that isn't our job as of now. Plus I'm Mhinak, and I will always be Mhinak... it's not like my surname really matters, does it? I'd gladly tell you if you want but that's for another day. I believe that handing at least the Blue Nekrastone to the Star Elves is for everyone's sake. Your people have gone mad with power once and it shouldn't happen again." OoC: I will not be as super active as I usually am during the week days because I'm taking a Law & Public Safety class and I have to put that before anything else. I will be more active during the weekends and what not so if you see me post maybe one thing per day, don't think I'm quitting or anything. -

Mhinak notices that Germ is also being sensible and gives him a nod. "Agreed. Clearly the Fenarians are not capable of being in control of such power. It's for everyone's safety." "For one, we're aiding a criminal of the Star Elves to break out another criminal. Bain also helped steal the Brown Nekrastone in the first place. All I'm getting at is that she isn't as trustworthy as you think. How do we know she won't stab us in back further down the road?" OoC: I was going to mention something about the loot but I didn't want to sound too greedy. -

"Like I said, you won't understand. It makes sense to me now, after hearing what the elves said before we... killed them. I... don't know how I can live with myself now, knowing I killed people who are doing their best to protect their people. Latte is right, Bain and Eckmar are criminals. You on the other hand, Na'im, you're a good man, but you don't understand me. No one does. For the record, I antagonized Latte, I provoked him, just because I was blinded by the lies Bain has told me. She helped steal the Brown Nekrastone and now she wants to help us get it? Ha! She wants another chance to take the nekrastone for herself." -

Yzalirk replied to Purpearljellyblob's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Please stop referring to me as a 'master'. I'm not royalty and I am only loyal to my kin and to those who have earned it. The elves are doing what they believe is best for their people. Your people do the same thing - what's best for them. You will never understand why I show sympathy for the elves. I agree with them, actually. Your people seem to be rebels towards them. There was a time where there was at least some harmony between your Fenarians and the Star Elves. Take Eckmar for example." Mhinak takes a deep breath to recollect his bearings once again. "The guardians have treated me with much more respect than Miderun has. So why should I show any loyalty to her? You all may call me mad but I'm doing what's ethical here. Maybe I will help Latte. After all, he's got the right idea about saving Krimwood. You and Miderun clearly don't because if you wanted to, you would have spoken to them with me. I will speak to the queen and make amends with the Star Elf people." Mhinak turns to Elnath. "Elnath, you seem to be the one I can trust the most here. As a friend, I think you should give the artifacts to the Star Elves. I do agree with that they aren't capable of being in control of such power. They've hurt themselves once and it shouldn't happen again. It's up to you though but I think doing that is in our best interest otherwise more people may get hurt. If the queen finds out you gave the artifacts to the Fenarians, Polly, Lyrion, and Hung may be in grave danger." -

That could work. I was actually thinking about having different houses or tribes that are represented with each color. I think that would be pretty cool. It would make for some cool stories about the different houses or whatever fighting. -

"You think I'm intimidated by the likes of you? BWAHAHAHAHA! Elnath, Polly, Lyrion, and Hung are great people, friends. I would die to save them and Krimwood. So yeah, I will help them. I'm just about done with Bain and her mischief!" Mhinak says angrily. "You know what I find ironic? You. You seem to hate the elves and depict them as tyrants, if you will, yet you seem to be acting like one yourself, telling me I have no place as a hero. You are a savage, a murderer. You find joy in killing. What makes you a hero and not a psycho?" -

Mhinak overhears Bobby and he also remembers Toren, Lyrion and Hung. A sadness overcame Mhinak and you can kind of see it in his face. He wasn't sure if they were safe or still alive, for that matter. "Did Narie say where Polly was? I only recall her saying that Polly was captured by Latte. We must check the cells, maybe she's here!"
