  1. Quick question - How long can quests go for? For example, could people be on a quest that lasts a few weeks to a month, depending on how fast the updates are, whereas some quests can last several months.
  2. Alright, I'll keep Mhinak. Hopefully I his happy-go-lucky personality changes somewhere along Quest #136 to a more hardened character. I took a look at the Advanced Classes and I do think becoming a Warden should be on my agenda but my only problem with it is that it seems like there aren't many artefacts suitable for Wardens that would give me some Defense.
  3. I promise this will be my last character.
  4. It's disappointing to hear if that's the case but hey, I'd rather make the best of the two years.
  5. You got me on that. I'm just so fixated to work from the Barbarian class and become a Berserker or something. I love that, going crazy during a battle. I just don't know how to get those things to increase reputation. I just tried searching through the Treasury and didn't find results, otherwise I have to wait another year and hope to get one. I know I could do that but I just don't want to do it with a Ranger. Don't get me wrong, the Warden would be my choice if I was fine with it but as a long term goal, I don't want to become a Sylvan Ranger or a Prophet.
  6. It wouldn't make much sense to become a Ranger again, I would become a Barbarian instead. And what do you mean by "Why not just role-play a change to your PC?" I realize that, and I'd rather invest in a character that I know I'll stick with otherwise, why would I wait for so long just to create a second character who I will be more lenient with? The only reason I could think of is to start him off with a particular artefact, gold, and tools. I also realize that too but, like I said, it seems like getting Wolfgang reputation comes around very rarely, but I could be wrong.
  7. I have to wait a long time to play on 15 different quests or to host 5 different quests. I feel that if I continue to play on a character that I'm losing interest with, that I'll lose interest in playing Heroica. I'd prefer to play as a character who I will enjoy playing as. If I do make this new character, he would be my third and final character that I would create in terms of "starting over". The thing is though, I partially want to wait until then but it's too long in my opinion. Again, if I do create a new character, I know exactly who I want to be and how I want to progress him. Third time's a charm they say. I also want to make it a goal of mine to become a Beast Warrior with that character and, if I don't change, I feel like I won't be able to achieve that with him, only Mhinak. I feel like Wolfgang quests come very very rarely. If I could become a Beast Warrior for Mhinak and for the second character I create, then I will definitely wait.
  8. "Shite, you're right." Mhinak grumbles before quickly aiming his hand cannon towards Star Elf Phalanx Mob B "Go for it! That should kill a lot of these sorry bastards."
  9. "I didn't want it to come down to this but I suppose this is how it's supposed to be. I trust them enough to do the right thing. Seeing as how you guys use that Red Nekrastone, I can't say the same for you. It'll be fancy to find out that the only thing I have to remember from you, is your armor. Goodbye, Major." Mhinak sighs. "Let's give them hell and if anyone has a bomb from that raffle, I think now is the time to use it! Also, I call dibs on the major's gauntlets, if that's not a problem... " Mhinak shouts at the party. Mhinak shoots Major Eludio Vuentei Star Elf Phalanx Mob B from back row with his Red Handcannon.
  10. I'm pretty sure you can, as long as Mhinak isn't giving the items to my new character directly. I've asked someone who I can trust to act as a middle man for this. I also asked Sandy just in case.
  11. Never. Going. To. Happen. I've asked someone to pass along some things to Mhinak's cousin when he does arrive to the hall.
  12. You also have to be Level 30.
  13. Since it'll be my final re-do, I'm all I can for him to be perfect for me. I do think that it'll be much easier to let him develop over a course a time since he would be adjusting to Heroica, which is completely new to him. Attitudes are always adjustable, it mainly depends on the current situation. I've begone to work on a backstory for him since I do want to go in-depth this time for sure.
  14. That's an unfortunate prediction. Don't worry, you can count on me for being active! I think that Heroica just needs to get the name out and I do think the people at GoH should join here too.
  15. To keep it short, yes. However, that'll be my final character I will role with because the warrior play-style I think is more what I like rather than being squishy. I took some time to think over how this character would be and, believe it or not, I did get some inspiration from Borderlands. Take the character Brick as example, he's destructive and a badass but at the same time, he seems more Neutral being a Vault Hunter and all but they do help the needy. I think that's pretty cool and he seems Chaotic Neutral if I had to guess. How could I achieve that without being completely evil or too good?
  16. "That's strange, I never would have guessed that Latte had a Fenarian as a friend. Ironic. But I do understand that Latte would want the worst for him since Eckmar seemed to have betrayed him but for a good reason. It's seems to me he wanted to help his kin out, even if it meant betraying a friend." "If Eckmar was a loyal friend to your General, that must mean they could fit in with your society. Clearly it's not up to an outsider like myself to change that but you all should consider it and integrate them. Perhaps you both could create a thriving nation and put an end to an ancient rivalry. The past is the past, worry about the future." Mhinak says passionately. "Bain has told us that Eckmar could help us track down that Brown Nekrastone and truthfully, that is why we are here. We could use some assistance with returning the Brown Nekrastone to the Guardians. I gave them my word that I'll personally help them and that is what I intend to do. What do you say?" Mhinak says before pulling out the Guardian badge for proof.
  17. I do think that if the NPC, who is potentially hostile, is not intimidated would be engaged pretty fast. So basically it's either intimidate the person to stop or leave or, if that fails, death to that person. That's probably the better way I should have put it. I also do suppose I could adjust it around it a bit and be more sadistic when it's more necessary. I do like the thought of caring for allies as if they were apart of the tribe and put myself in front of harms way. That way it's got that balance between sadistic warrior and caring tribesman, you know? It'll just take time to get to understand the person. Or he could be like Handsome Jack from Borderlands, he's a bit crazy but you like him - crazy and charismatic at the same time.
  18. On it!
  19. I suppose you're right, Lind. I'll take a look at some of Sarge's quests but right now, I'm looking at how Hodurr acts and speaks to give me a clue as to how I would want my character to act. I don't want to be a nice mercenary but I guess more of a Neutral one. The more I keep thinking about this, the more I feel I should just be a Neutral character. I know that if there's someone who asks for help, my first response would be something along the lines of "What's in it for me?". I like that and I pretty much agree. I'm not saying that I would go around killing all NPC's in sight but rather than the ones who are causing problems for my character and not holding back. I've always played the type of character who would try and come to a peaceful conclusion first. I want to go different for a change and be the type of character who split someone head open if they are annoying. Like I said before, I feel that being a somewhat sadistic character is what I want to aim for, especially if I wanted to be a barbarian tribesman since he really has no grasp of how others act. It's alien to him and he can't change in an instant. He would easily yell "DO YA LIKE THE SIGHT OF YER OWN BLOOD?!" when in a battle. Hopefully this is making a little sense. It's a bit more complicated than that. I do love the aspect of Dwarves being greedy but I'd love to incorporate that with the barbaric tribesman attitude in the sense he's sadistic but loves loot.
  20. Then I'd be pretty much a generic character. I need help with incorporating the good and bad elements then. I've played the good guy in so many RPG's, Fallout 3 is my best example, that I want to change it around and be someone else. I don't want to be the guy who helps people just to be recognized as a glorious or honorable person. I want to be somewhat the opposite and kill those who stand in my way/pose a threat. Honor and glory is not what my character seeks, he seeks riches and loot, sort of like a mercenary I guess. The only times I'd want to be logical would be with situations knowing that I can't make it out alive so laying down arms is the best option. Maybe this is sounding more Neutral, I don't know. I do like the Wolfgang faction and I want my character to act as if he'd get along with that crowd. So I'll assume it's about being more sympathetic towards the common folk rather than the rich and selfish I guess.
  21. "Just because they are his lieutenants doesn't mean they like him."
  22. Sorry, the speakers for my computer are messed up so I can't really watch the video. So how does one portray Chaotic Neutral character? I just don't want to have this goody-two-shoes of a character, that's pretty much all. The more I really think about it, I think a character who likes killing and instilling fear is what I'm trying to go for. Interactions with other Heroes is very important indeed and I do like the sadistic joking type, for example "Break open that door or I'll have to rip your arms off and do it for ya.". Working with others will have to be something this character would have to get used to because, he being a tribal Dwarf, he hasn't had any interactions with any other races. I could definitely see that when he gets used to his companions, he'll take them under his (metaphorical) wing and treat them as he would with others from his old tribe. Again, this is pretty much inspired by the interactions with Hodurr Thornback from Quest #100 where the heroes weren't too fond of him but they came to and liked him. Interactions with NPC's is another thing too. Like I said, he always loves his fair share of bashing skulls and getting some killer loot. The one thing I just can't seem to get right would be his speech. I like how Hodurr Thornback talked in the sense it wasn't so stereotypical English. He spoke completely different and I think words like "yer" would be a necessity. I do like the Scottish accent Dain Ironfoot had in The Battle of the Five Armies so a combination of both characters I mentioned is what I'm thinking of but putting it in text is what I'm just so confused on.
  23. If it helps, the character would be greedy and wants to strive for riches and better weapons and armor, so basically sides with whoever offers the best reward, but is more lenient towards Dwarves. He would easily side with the Wolfgang any day. His speech is the most important thing because I'd prefer to have him pronounce words differently or speech impediment, sort of like Hodurr Thornback. Hopefully you understand what I'm getting at but I want to be more of a bad guy from the neutral sides of things rather than a stereotypical hero, if that makes sense. Hodurr Thornback would be an inspiration to the concept of this character I'd say. As for that chart, I do like the sound of the Lawful Evil and the Neutral Evil. However, whatever seems the most appropriate for the Wolfgang attitude is what I want to get at.
  24. It's been awfully quiet here. Anyways, does anyone have some tips with portraying a barbaric Dwarf, who is kind of an megablocks and likes to drink but also loves splitting someone's head open that they don't like? Definitely the complete opposite of someone you can reason with in a refined manner.
  25. "These elves seem different... almost in a good way, compared to Latte at least. Latte would rather put us on the chopping block first then speak later."
