Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Stegoceras replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That Water storage tank on the roof(or whatever you call such) looks interesting, curious to see how that one is build up, it's not the same as the one in FB it seems. -
Pet Shop contains different parts then in the manual
Stegoceras replied to Donatello's topic in LEGO Town
I bought the Pet shop first of October and in my set one of the fence pieces is 2-stud and the other 2 are of the 4-stud kind. Weird, but no real issue to me. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I'd expect clotheslines with laundry spanning the gap between the buildings actually, maybe also some air-conditioners hanging from the windows. -
Suggestion on first modular building to buy and build?
Stegoceras replied to BirdOPrey5's topic in LEGO Town
As someone who just recently started off with the modulars (after years of desperately trying to resist the urge) by buying Grand Emporium, I can just say it will put it's claws into you and not let go. Also it will leave you a little sad when you realize you can't get the older ones for a reasonable price anymore. So start of with the one you still can get, because you will get hooked on them. -
Yeah,....no, just no. I fear nothing good will come of this, hoping to eat my words and happily preparing the ketchup to do so, but this just feels all kinds of wrong and in all fairness I have been less than impressed by Disney's current movie track record, though usually visually entertaining the other aspects of their movies are often less than average.

That depends whether you got BoE when it was just available or bought it later, if later then very likely you do have a Han with pupils (I do), Lego decided to change the face of Han when they made the head with pupils even though the other figures in the pack didn't receive the same treatment. Same happened to the 7749 Echo base set.

Look more like zombies to me, judging from the drawn one in the back of the image, zombie-orcs maybe. Also interestingly the thingy next to the 4 golden pieces has the same two parts as the front of the bat, must mean something. A reward for defeating the bat?

Few weeks ago I finally got the Battle of Endor, after you guys all here helped me decide, thanks all. Got the Separatist Shuttle in the same order as well to cut back on shipping. This week I got Home One set, and loving it as well, It looks great on the shelf. Guess that completes my 2009 wanted list just in time.

More likely expecting a Fambaa with Shield generator and some gungans and maybe one of their catapults or more Kaadu's. Also, maybe a Naboo-troops or Gungan battlepack. Another simple episode 1 set would be a Gian Speeder (V-19 landspeeder)and to round it of a UCS (or in miniaturized minifigure style like Republic Frigate and Tantive IV) version of Droid Control ship (Lucrehulk-class battleship) Any of these sets would take my preference over a new MTT or AAT to be honest.

Thanks for the review Sir van Lego. As for the set, didn't get the previous one so looking forward to get this one instead, not sure what to make of that little cart though, it's nearly as strange as the little vehicle we got with the first N1 starfighter. The included stand for the ship is a very nice extra to me though.

[REVIEW] Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator 7961
Stegoceras replied to Jigsaw Killer's topic in LEGO Star Wars
First off thanks for the review, have been looking forward to one on this set. Unlike many others here, I actually like this set, one of the better sets of the summer wave in my opinion. An improvement over the first version and much better than the "lets add many giant sloped pieces to make a smooth looking ship" 7663 version. The bottom is poor but since I generally don't display my ships upside-down I honestly don't mind it much. I do agree on the opinion that the Maul minifigure is a pretty poor, the horns just don't look as good as they do on Savage and the face seems to squeezed. The other figures make up for it tenfold though, been a while since we had a Qui-Gon and I'm sure he is much wanted by people who didn't get any of the sets from the early days of Star Wars Lego. Although Padme didn't come in a sweet dress fit for a queen it's nice to see TLC did finally listened to it's fans and gave them an updated version as well. Finally Panaka is simply very cool and easily the star of this set. The price could do with some cuts but it's nothing we haven't seen from other Star Wars sets and still is nowhere as ridiculous as the price per piece ratio of the Geonosian Fighter. -

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Stegoceras replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Nope, not really, look more like run-away trees. Very curious about that dual staff lightsaber wielding besalisk jedi -
I think the easiest solution for you would be to bookmark the forum page instead of the frontpage, you can then always head over to the frontpage bit of the forum to see what's on there and read/skip whatever you want/don't want to know.

Thanks for all the advise everyone, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go for the BoE now, since it might be hard to get in 2-3 months. Hopefully by then the CTT will still/again be readily available for 100 instead of it's 130-140 retail price. @sok117 It's a tough one, Ewok attack's model looks very poor, whilst the Geonosian fighter looks pretty good. Figures on both look excellent (Ewoks look slightly better but that's a preference) However Geonosian fighter is blatantly over-priced, so I'd say go with the Ewok Attack.

So the problem is this, there are two sets that currently have my attention. 8098 Clone Turbo Tank for 99,99 Euro - Very good price per piece ratio, I can only presume it's on discount at this time (looking at the price and comparing it with other stores) - Impressive vehicle which would look nice in the collection - Some nice minifgures (don't even have an CW Ahsoka and Anakin yet) or 8038 Battle of Endor for 99 Euro - Very positive reviews on this one - Might go out of production soon - A excellent collection of Minifgures with regular faces, (sadly not all pupilled which i like better, but at least noy CW faces which are pretty ugly most of the time) So as you can see I'm locked in my decision here, want to know what you guys think and what your main reason would be to pick one over the other. I'd very likely try my best to get the other set as well, but it might take a few months before I get the chance.

While on a weekend away in Denmark I got lucky and managed to find 8083 and 8084 battlepacks with a large discount in a store (came down to about 7 euro a pack, which is a pretty amazing deal in my book). So I picked those up before an army builder popped up and took the whole supply. Also got the 7914 Mando battlepack with a 2 euro discount and finally picked up the last 2 minifigures from the CMF series 4 I was still missing. So all in all been an excellent trip.

I think he means the good guys from the Alien Conquest series. ?Alien Defense Unit?

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
Stegoceras replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
To be honest I did look here before so was spoilered a bit, but it wasn't something I hadn't seem coming, they were hinting at it several times in previous episodes. All in all a very enjoyable episode and even with the spoiler here it's still a good episode which anwsers a good amount of questions and opens up a good few new ones. Can't wait for the series to continue. -
Thanks for the review, You improved my opinion on the set a bit, don't dislike it as much now. It has some strong points and Opress' headpiece looks better than that of Maul (and Ki-Adi-Mundi for that matter) by a longshot. Still very low on the list though, will probably once again wait for a discount before getting it.

excellent find Supersonic, you deserve a pat on the back. As for the set, can't say I'm overly enthousiatic about it as of yet, Doesn't seem to carry that instantly recognizable as star wars feel (looks more like a new space police set). Guess I'll wait for the reviews, but very cool to finally see pictures of it. Thanks again Supersonic.

More like a cheaper alternative, as far as I'm aware Battle of Endor is still readily available in many places including lego's shop. edit: looked it up and well apparently sold out at S@H for the americans, so we can be sure the set isn't going to drag on for much longer, but still very available elsewhere Beyond that I'm still not persuaded by this set, The minifigures are great but I know for a fact that the tree-stump wouldn't stay assembled very long, guess I'll wait for a discount on this one (at least 2 years availability to go, must happen someday). Oh and thanks for the review, well done. Looking forward to other reviews of the new sets.

While taking a gander in the shop at the new Star Wars summer-wave sets (which seem readily available everywhere I look now) my eye was caught by the Tie Defender with a discount (only 35 euros, not such a bad price considering the full retail was 50), Couldn't let that opportunity slip by and must say it looks great amongst his Tie-brethren on the shelf.

Thanks for the photos Stardusty Are those stickers I see? Seems like the rightmost of the ones on the 4 round tiles in front is already peeling off. Hope I'm wrong.
