Review: 5885 Triceratops Trapper
Vindicare replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Another fine review for another fine set. Your reviews are so thorough and the pictures are just awesome, well done MB! That Triceratops is killer...er, should I say...planter. -
I don't recall the build aside from it taking about 6 hrs. When I bought mine, I was buying City and Castle, for the most part, so I wouldn't worry about that. At the price it is, I would be kicking myself not buying it. A definite buy to anyone. If you haven't already, go look for the review of the set, I'm sure that will decide which to buy.

Which theme/subtheme did you miss and regret?
Vindicare replied to BeKindRewind's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Ugh, tell me about it! I don't recall how much I sold my collection for, but I had TONS of it. Just about every set of Castle, City, Ninja, Space(I remember getting the first Monorail for Christmas), Western, all those. I kick myself everyday for selling those. All I saw were $$ signs... -
Amen to that. I just want my modular street to become a modular town!

REVIEW: 9442 Jay's Storm Fighter
Vindicare replied to Velika314's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, we know they(LEGO) like Kai better than Jay. Kai gets that awesome armor piece and 2 swords, while poor Jay gets nothing... -

eBay and/or Bricklink + battle packs. -
IFS all day long. That ship is just so impressive. If you're a Pirate fan/collector, you'll definitely regret it. Even if you're not a Pirate fan you will. The only complaint I have, as with other ships it seems, is the lack of cannons. Get it! Everyone should!

Not bad, I think. A bit on the blurry side, and is the snow...styrofoam? It does look like a good start, but it would look better[the snow], if it were LEGO.

I've only got two smaller sets at the moment, but this theme is shaping up to be my favorite theme, surpassing Alien Conquest and Pharaohs Quest. The dinos are...awesome! Those new guns are cool, and the minifigures are awesome, as well. The olive green suited guy, which I believe we get three of, the dude in black(triceratops). The vehicles to boot. Doesn't help either that my favorite color is yellow.

Finally got me some Dino! 5883 Tower Takedown 5884 Raptor Chase

As am I. I don't get why people don't put them on regardless. You can always turn the piece around, it's not like, in most cases, that both sides of one piece show.

LEGO in Film & TV: Index of Appearances

Tonight on, "The Amazing Race", they went to Legoland in Denmark. -
There is a few video reviews, garbage truck and car and caravan.

Yeah, I'm shooting for The Black Pearl and an IOU for Kingdoms Joust.

Its not a new element in the brick sort of way, I wasn't sure if I should've made it owns thread, so I'm putting it here. What about making hats with some hair under the brim? A good example would be Professor Sprout, under her hat sticks out a big bunch of grey curly hair.

Ya know, I saw Tower Bridge at a Lego store, and I must say it is pretty impressive. I'm no MOCer, so I can't help you in that department. But, I say, if you have the money and want it, get it. It makes one helluva display piece.

I would absolutely die if LEGO made a Victorian House as a Modular. With the finer details LEGO has been able to come up with lately, I think they could pull it off nicely.
-
Are you a SW cover band?
-
That would be a HUGE wedding cake. The attention to detail is amazing! The knobs on the BBQ. All the furniture and amenities in the house, nice!
-
They're popping up in a couple City sets. The already mentioned set and the bandits hideout, too.
-
this bricktober I got a free set little blue car

I think someone did a mini review on the set? I'm too lazy to search though... -
Damn! You beat me to it! But, maybe they strip off their clothes as they tell jokes? I too used to play and pint Warhammer 40K, Space Wolves FTW!
-
Pretty cool creations. I really like the MPV and Supercar. I've never seen that Steinwinter, interesting look. You're rendition is very accurate, but it tucks too far under the trailer. You should move the hitch piece back at least one spot.
-
Wow! That's quite the endeavor you set before you. I can't wait to see tis in bricks.
-
That they are, which we knew a few pages back.
