Ya know, if you don't mind not having it be plastic, there's Styrene. I'm not familiar with it other than seeing it used in the RC world. People use it to make RC bodies and accessories. Might want to look into that.

MOC: Meow............Happy Valentine's Day 2012 !
Vindicare replied to Schfio factory's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great new pictures! I see the little kitteh teeth, very nice! I like the ears folded down kitteh, too. Impressive! -
Wow! All of these are just amazing. There has been quite a few great mosaics on here lately. I like how you SNOTted them all, it gives a much more smoother feel to the pictures, like they're printed on. If you zoomed out some, I bet you'd not see the lines from in-between the bricks.

Hmm...neat picture, but I can't tell what's going on or the subject matter? Maybe a little info on the subject or concept behind the picture.

Ooh! The garage looks good. I like the cars that are in there, wonder if one(or all) will come with it. Is this a 2012 release, or do we not know?

I'll still be buying this because I just can't resist this theme. I have only ever paid more than the current price twice. I bought(at separate times) 10195 which was $250. After getting the set each time, I had a little bout of doubt on buying it. It nags at me a bit of spending that much on one thing. I've avoided the UCS stuff for simply that fact. I'd love to have the SSD, but just can't bring myself to pay the price.

Rumors and speculation: Haunted House Modular
Vindicare replied to forumreader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Good points here. As said above, I don't think people are saying Modular as opposed to Monster Fighters is the level of detail between the two. Of course, MMV is an exception to the rule. I don't care what theme they put it under, I just want a great detailed building. -
Hmm...I can't wait to see the outcome of the new box o' pieces! I'm going to be keeping my eye on this.

Although I suppose I do, since I'm asking. What's with all the "Taking a Break" members on the day they joined(or close to it)? It just seems like I've seen 3 or 4 in the past week...

I'm going to echo the others, great Infiltrator. Until I read that that was Maul on his bike, I thought he looked way strange. Now I see it.

Ah, I gotcha. It's easy to miss the line separating the signature.

I'm sure he's referring to the picture Solscud posted. I think he just misquoted. Mr. Man was referencing the picture.

Bah! You swindler! I was wondering what was up with Threepio... I guess you could say it's a *fools* gold Threepio. That's an awesome planet shot too, BTW.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Vindicare replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm yet to get a UCS set, but I think Artoo might be my cherry popper. from that shot, it looks pretty cool. It'll make a cool display piece for a desk. Mods, if my innuendo is a bit too off color, feel free to edit it. -
I want to commend the builders so far. Great job all, I love seeing everyones take on the castle and grounds.

I think I'm gonna agree here. Speaking solely for MOCing, there's a better variety of pieces in the Pet Shop, even if you are limited in the size of a building using either the brown or blue bricks. I think the PS will also give better facade ideas from the manual than the FB. So, strictly for parts pack buy, go with the PS. Even though, I more often than not tell the person to get the older of the two first.

I bought one of the Fotestmen sets on eBay without instructions. I would love to have them. I am a set collector, while I don't keep boxes, I want everything else. I think the majority of interactions for sale are from people parting out the sets and have no use for them, so if they sell them, they made a few extra bucks, if not, hold onto it and try again later.

I like it a lot myself. This will be my first *officially* bought one(I eBayed one before). Can't remember where, but someone was making, and selling, that exact shirt! I think it was on flickr, and the posting was old, otherwise I would've bought one. Do we not have a firm release date yet?!

Rumors and speculation: Haunted House Modular
Vindicare replied to forumreader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I don't think its for Monster Hunters just because it has ghosts. It IS a haunted house, after all. Whatever theme it's going to fall under, I want it! I -
Hasbro's Kre-o! Is Lego seriously going to let this happen?
Vindicare replied to Omegablue's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think too many people on here have blind hate towards any plastic brick toy that isn't LEGO. In the past I bought an MB set, I don't ever remember a problem with staying together. -
This IS a movie thread. I saw Safe House yesterday. Pretty good movie.

[MOC] Iris Cafe
Vindicare replied to the_comedian's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Cool! I like how you have no back area and use it all on the front. The enclosed entrance is a nice touch. The all windowed front is great. Great job on this. Any plans to bring this to life? -
What a scene! That is a great piano...and the flowers! I really like the purple ones. I'll echo what Cloney O' said, it really looks endless.

You've done it again. Both your 32 and 16 wide modulars are excellent. I like the two storefront facade in one building like that. The interior doesn't disappoint either. Well done.
