The point was to make the Cafe Corner set... That is a great job. The castle walls on the back even look fitting there. I like the dark grey color, but I would've continued the red facade to the floor below.(although I get it if you didn't have the pieces) I LOVE your hotel sign.

Nice! Congrats Dix. And a job well done to the others!

Why no front door? Other than that, looks pretty cool. Some nice details there.
-
That's a very cool and impressive truck. I like the details put into this model. It's cool you added the water cannon on top of the ladder.

You can't go wrong with a park. What about a roundabout with a statue and/or fountain in the center. That's what I'll be doing in mine.
-
Well, looks like I'll be getting more than just the dragon set. The Sonic Raider(that's the name, I think) and the Samurai Mech are on my list.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Vindicare replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I concur. Very nice display case(s). Great way to show off your stash. -
That's awesome! I love the turntables, very accurate with the needles...arms...whatever they're called. I would LOVE to learn to DJ/scratch. I do play a mean DJ Hero.

I believe. He's dead...seeing as he dropped his gun. A cool little dio. I don't need to repeat what others said, but I will say that, IMO, the pictures look weird and out of place. I don't remember there being pictures on the palace walls.

As long as the CW rehashes have white clones, bring them on!
-
That's awesome for two reasons. 1. It's LEGO and 2. It's Darth Maul.

I'm referring to the costume on the comic cover posted. I used to watch the X-Men cartoon.

I totally agree here. Diagon Alley is a great set, but nonessential to someone getting into HP. I've done a figure list for the ones I think best(4841, 4842, 4867): 4841: Draco Malfoy, Luna Lovegood, Ron Weasely(casual), Ginny Weasely, Harry(casual), 4867: Lucius Malfoy, Dementor, Prof. Sprout, Prof. Lupin, Harry, Neville Longbottom, Greg Goyle 4842: Prof. McGonagall, Harry, Hermoine Granger, Prof. Dumbledore, Prof. Flitwick, Prof. Snape, Argus Filch/Mrs. Norris, Dementor x2, Voldemort The only thing is you'll have to get Ron in uniform elsewhere. With these 3 sets, you get the main villain, main bully at school, 3 dementors, 4 Heads of House, Harrys betrowed, etc. Yes, I was bored.

That's not a play feature...that's jut Loki after too much drinking. Yeah, i don't like Wolverine not having his mask either. Maybe LEGO thought we'd be happy with the suit being yellow/blue(although, that's not the way I remember it looking). Im not fond of the claws either...CMF boxer type claws would've been AWESOME!

I agree here, but it's hard to do. I think 10220 is the better of the two. Assuming you're going to get both, going with the older one first is always the way to go.

deadmau5 head
Vindicare replied to GeluNumber1's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I saw deadmau5 at the Grammys last night and looked him up on iTunes. Cool stuff. Not bad MOC. Any plans to bring it to life? The ears just don't fit though...maybe it's the head, it looks too small. Maybe it'd be better suited to pay homage with a mosaic. It may be easier to get the sizes better. It's a nice start, I know it's a bit hard to work in LDD sometimes. -
Buy one of those display cases that hold model cars and build a staircase stand out of bricks.
-
I'm not wanting to open one, just curious what it takes to do so. Wondering if my local mall has what it takes.

Well, could be. She was around early Nineties. The Bodyguard came out in '92, so I'd say my statement still holds true. But, she was a star of the Eighties too. So were both right.

I saw TPM today and I thought it was pretty cool 3D. The pod race scene and when Ani was in the N-1 were awesome! The 3D wasn't that...how to put it..."jump off the screen" kind of 3D. It was more of a "pop off the screen" 3D. It felt like you were in the cockpit of the onscreen ship. I noticed the announcers screens were 3D as well. It wasn't Avatar 3D, but it was worth admission. Oh! And at the theater we went to we got some sweet Darth Maul glasses. The front part of the frame is red, the arms are black. One side has Mauls menacing eyes staring into your soul, while the other aide has "Star Wars The Phantom Menace 3D" on it. Very cool!

That's what I thought too(monster taking Timmy) when I saw it.

I'm using the Town Plans hall as a museum. The facade screams museum to me.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Vindicare replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is very mean of LEGO. Releasing so much goodness in one year... They're going to really make us broke tis year. LSW is looking good! Anyone know if that Maul polybag is the May the Fourth fig? -
Very cool hut! I love the roof and the hut as a whole. It looks like the textured walls/rock wall the house is made of. I'm a bit torn. I don't like that Hagrid killed Gary and put his shell on display in the yard.
-
I wasn't overly excited at first glance, but giving them another better look, I like them. I can't wait to see the finalized figs for the Avengers. What I do see, however, is merely ok. I'm pretty happy with the prices. They're not at bad as I thought they'd be.
