Was this one of the "leaked" figs that was on eBay before the sets were even released anywhere?

10197 won't be around much more than a few months, especially once 10232 comes out. I wouldn't expect 10197 to go up in price much. Just assuming here, but I think a lot of people are holding on to these after seeing the secondary prices for it's predecessors. Out of the 3 you listed, I'd guess 10220 VW Camper would be your best bet.

She's buying tickets. I'm loving this more and more! I really like the roof technique. I knew there wasn't going to be many seats, that's just how TLG works. Not every ground floor is tiled either, so I don't see how that's a big deal. As for the car, I'm just happy they didn't give it the City treatment and give it the monster wheels. Theres really no point talking about what the buildings don't have, because ALL buildings LEGO makes miss things.

I'm with you on this. I'm not even into trains that much, but I really want to get 2 of these as I think they'll look perfect together.

Jealousy alert! Jealousy alert! I'm definitely going to be getting one each of this line. I would certainly get doubles of some if there wasn't so much other LEGO on my list. Makes it tough to get doubles of stuff.

It's just as fair as the Minecraft and BttF community voting those into contention too. I wouldn't just limit it to students of Purdue. I'm sure for as many students who would buy it, just as many alumni would and die hard fans. If it were a school I followed, I would buy it.

I hope they do, and open a store where I can easily get to. I want one of those SO bad!

The reason for the excitement with 10182 Cafe Corner is that it is the first of it's kind and something we never officially saw from them, so naturally the excitement is going to be high. This and 10190 Market Street are what got me back into LEGO, I just couldn't believe those were real. Then 10185 Green Grocer came along and blew me out of the water. Now though, between the 8 officials we now have, plus the 100's of fantastic MOCs, that excitement of something new has gone. Look at how many people were hoping and praying for a cinema like Sonics? I still get excited by every time I see the next Modular, and I'm sure I'll continue to be. You didn't cause any hate. It's just an opinion, just like everyone else. Nothing wrong with not liking it, there's clearly many who are in the same boat. It's always good to voice your opinions, that's the point to forums like these. Discuss LEGO and what you like or don't like about it.

Also, if you had one built before, I don't see why you can't do it again? That's the beauty of LEGO sets, they can be rebuilt.

Just guessing here, but your VIP account should be tacked on to your name in the system. Since you've been buying and getting VIP points online or by phone, you obviously haven't showed anyone your card, so I imagine you should be good. Don't quote me though.

What you can do is get normal bookcases,measure the front and get plexiglass and some clamps that you can still remove when needed and secure the plexiglass to the front of the bookcases.

That's kind of what I'm getting out of this thread, though. I know that's not the reason for the report button, but that sounds like what is being told here. I don't know what kind of fantasy world you live in, but nobody what topic you discuss you're never going to get everyone to agree. Thats the beauty of being an individual, you like something someone doesn't. I don't visit the Technic part, so I can't say in that regard, but take a look at the 10232 Palace Cinema topic. There's opinions coming in from every direction in there. Nobody is forcing you to read every post and topic. When you start reading a post and it disagrees with your opinion, skip ot or hit the back button. Simple. The problem isn't EB, it's your weird view of this place.

How would this not fit in line? Graumans is in a street layout surrounded by buildings as well. Didn't you see the Photoshop on previous page? I think it'll fit great, but that's from someone who hasn't been let down in the slightest with any Modular yet. I think people get their hopes up initially because of all the great MOCs we see on here. It gives us a picture of what we didn't have before(possibly). I'm certain when we get HR photos and the Designers video is released, all the naysayers will be drooling for it like the rest of us.

Awesome! Looks really good. You need one of energy bolt pieces, like Emperor Palpatine comes with, sticking out of it's front to cut the minerals. I still cry a little bit each time I remember MB has the Starcraft license and not TLG.

I'd go with 60017 Flatbed Truck. Its something new, fresh and interesting.

They do make blinds for windows ya know. That certainly is a problem. I have the same issue, to a degree. There's a good sized bay window where I have some displayed, I just keep the blinds closed. Sure, the room isn't as bright, but I know my LEGO aren't going to be damaged in the long run.

I wouldn't trust the phone. I've called about sets before and was told no. I decided to go have a look anyways and they had what I was looking for(can't remember exactly what theme it was). As long as the drive isn't too far, I'd go.

I'd go with either one of the Eagle vehicles. They both look great and any/all the figs from the line are fantastic.

I'm rather curious myself on how many people bought extra 10197 Fire Brigades(and how many extras) because people have seen how the ones released before it are doing on the secondary market. I think the majority of them are going to be having a case of buyers regret. But, as Flipz said, if you were already a fan and hoarded away a few extras on hopes they increase in value and they end up not doing so, you're not really out anything.

While I just started reading(FINALLY!) LotR, I got to say, as with any book/movie adaptations, books will always trump movies, as Slick Willie said above. I must say, after rewatching Fellowship, I'm a bit irked at the exclusion of Tom Bombadil. That was such a fun part of the book, IMO. I was sad to see he wasn't even mentioned.

Just checked mine. The headpiece sits just on top of the eyes when pressed all the way down. It does cover up the eyebrows that are printed on the actual head, but that's why they're also printed on the headpiece.
