  1. Some pretty good ideas there, especially among the last shown cars!
  2. Well, ehm... New items added to the first post! Enjoy!
  3. They should make a simple tunnel, using the base-plate technology (vacuum-formed sheets) That would make it sufficiently cheap compared to its limited playability. Like this: It could be a 45º section, enabling putting two (or more) together to form longer tunnels. Some studs here and there to allow for individual decoration.
  4. Excellent! Fantastic colours. (I suppose I only have a handful of dark tan peices ;-)) -and espeically good use of an akward baseplate! I also saw this on TBB. Congratz.
  5. Fantastic movie! Incredible loyal to the original album and style, but diverging more and more as the movie progrss. So much, as they even go on to include other stereotypes and recurrent events from other albums, although they were not part of this particular story. Anyway a lovely movie. There are surprisingly few Tintin-mocs out there. -But then again who are we to change that...¿? <lol> A "Unicorn" would be an excellent build, but only together with the smaller pirate vessel... Unfortunatly I (and my bricks) are tied up in another project currently.
  6. Interresting project and well done micro-scale. I seem to remember it having even more "guts" and colours showing on the outside. For me, the building was surprisingly empty and boring on the inside. Your inside SNOT-techniques might be more interessting than the real building! lol
  7. Fantastic achievement. But I would lreally like to have a closer look at the mechanism! Especially how the spare throw is set up!
  8. Personally, I think it is a huge disappointment. It doesnt capture any of the prototypes smooth and rounded surfaces. I would somehow have expected a more aestethically pleasing model. Interior details and everything-open funcions are nice, but I think could also be better. Yes, I am judging it very harsh; it´s an oficial model, so they should be able to bring out the best of the best. -But I´ve seen better models posted on the net already... This review -on the other hand- is well done, and I thank you for sharing the insights!
  9. Impressive and original work. Well done!
  10. I thank you a lot for this information. I was going crazy with all the comments about the booth being "wrong". (I *DID* research the topic before building! )
  11. Thanks! Yes, the dome is for the driver, who doesnt have to change place for the train to go "backwards". And yes again; I´m working on a freight-train too! Hopefully I will finish it tomorrow.
  12. EDIT 8/11-2011: Freight-waggons appended to the first post! Hi all, I am currently building some french trains to go with my "MegaMOC 2011" diorama of the (fictious) french town "Royville" anno 1967. I will be presenting the finished models in this thread. (A special greeting to Eurobrick fellow Zorbas; you were right; the trains should go in a separate thread here. Sorry about all the fuss!) First off; The SNCF railbus X3800 -also known as the "Picasso"; The model is 7-wide and 57 studs long. Some close-ups; The model is extremely low, leaving only 1 plate of free air over the rail... Motorization is PF with RC; -It can negotiate the sharp Lego-curves, but wen travelling across switches, the throwing lever must be pointing AWAY from the curve. Otherwise no problems, and it goes like a rocket. Finally, a link to a photo of the real thing, for its comparisson; ############################################################################# 8/11 2011 Freight waggons ############################################################################# I´ve build no less than 6 different freight waggons. They are 7-wide and some of tehm weighs quite a lot. I doubt if I will be able to run them all at once... First off a somewhat swiss-looking closed box car; Second off a refridgerater car; Third, a french state-company car; (The snot-lettering causes this car to weigh a LOT...) Fourth off, a 4-axle open goods car (loaded with coal); Fifth, a little eye-candy; Sixth and final waggon; Some of the longer 2-axled waggons are equipped with a system to help navigating the closed LEGO-curves;
  13. Thanks guys! (all) Hehe. It is indeed a british design, but I recon that French Telecom bought a lot of them... Somebody from France can comment on this¿?
  14. Layout Hi all, These are the background-buildings behind the train-station "Royville" (Presented earlier here); Some close-up shots; And finally an overview of the whole street; This (and the train station Royville, the hotel Chat Noir and the classic cars) are all part of my upcoming MegaMOC 2011.
  15. No, I like more the version with the grey cheese! -Looks more like a dispenser to me. Here is a similar one I made one and a half year ago;
  16. Wow, that candy dispenser is excellent! <<<copied>>>
  17. V-LB-1D Hi guys, Here I present you the newest (#16) of my classic vehicles collection; It´s a Mercedes-Benz O3250 bus, 1950. I hope you like it!
  18. Fantastic description! Incredibly parts-intensive methods. -with an overwhelming result!
  19. Well, *I* certainly dont mind that you bumped this thread! lol I thank you (and all others) for your nice comments! I am currently working on a similar MOC, only 3 times bigger. Currently I am desparing a little, for not being able to do it quite as detailed as the MOC presented here, but I still have one and a half months time to finish it before the annual HispaLUG event, this time in Madrid. Some parts of the upcoming MOC has already been presented here on Eurobricks; Hotel Chat Noir, Train station Royville and the Classic Car thread...
  20. Everything is for sale! Considering that the model consist of 160 parts, and is entirely of my own creation, what do you think I should ask for it¿? No, seriously; You can build yor own, as detailed instructions are online here; Citroën DS instructions Have fun!
  21. V-LC-13C to V-LC-13D, and V-LV-32B to V-LV-32C Hi guys! I have come back (after summer) to re-take the work on my upcoming "mega-moc". The moc need some more vehicles, so here are some photos of the latest additions (Current collection now number 15 historic vehicles); It´s a almost-copy of Misterzumbis fantastic Mercedes Ackermann. In this case let´s just pretend that it´s a Renault van from the fifties, and that it is the owner who is called "Ackermann". A small tow-truck. Not after any specific model, but again I pretend it to be a Renault from the fiftes... Notice the use of several vintage parts from my childhood collection! Also included during the summer-holidays (but alas wihtout adecuate resolution pictures to post here) is another Citroën DS, this time the very special Cabrio version; -And the "american car" from the Hotel Chat Noir moc. Pretending to be a Chevy Bel Air 1967; All photos can be seen in higher resolution in my BrickShelf folder; My Brickshelf
  22. Excellent moc, and a good use of decals. Not too controversal really.
  23. Absolutly lovely moc! Congratz on winning! I especially like the rounded corner tower and its roof!
  24. Very well captured! There are so many iconic scenes in that movie, which would make great mocs! The gang of minifigs is very well done!
  25. Howdy partner! Just a little something made in a couple of hours, celebrating the arrival of the longa waited LUGBULK pieces... It must be a dog-gone long way from Denmark to Spain, as these pieces has taken almost 6 months to arrive... Buh-bye!
