Wow, I´m on the front page!!! That´s so cool. Many thanks to the EuroBricks Team! (-and especially to Rick!) Thanks to all for the nice comments! Last years MegaMOC (2011) counted 20 vehicles (not including the two PF trains and 6 waggons), so I hope to go to 30 on this one, and there should be a single train also... What more to say... The 14th vehicle is coming along nicely. But it´s absolutly HUGE, and will take some more time to finish... "What is the single-most iconic public transportation bus of the US?"

V-LV-27D 13th car added. 13th... This number has the same amount of luck wich befell the prototype car too; 1958 Ford Edsel; Picture for comparisson; I found that only 2 headlights made it look more prototypical; The Edsel with some other 50´ies inventions; Ciao!

Thanks. The interior is only 3 studs wide, so the car can hold a single fig. I think it looks better with no fig inside, so I will display it with the driver standing beside the car... Structural integrety is not compromised, but then again the interior is not very accurate anyway. That kind of detail is the last thing I do, and has rather low priority. BTW. Here´s a photo of the whole collection so far;

Interessting and huge project. You say that you have been "asked" to do this. Is this a commissioned MOC¿?
-
Thanks guys! Yeah... I have been moving quite fast... But I think the production will slow down a little now; I am beginning to miss necessary key-parts. So until next BrickLink order... Damn!

V-LV-26C 12th car ready; 1956 Chevrolet Corvette; This small thing is 5-wide. What do you guys think of my attempt at white-wall tires¿? Ciao

V-LF-15A Hi again guys. Things has been moving quickly here. 11th vehicle is ready to hit the City-streets! -It´s also grown! -Now in 7-wide! 1955 Seagrave Fire Truck (Genereic); A portable pump and some hoses can be taken out; I hope you like it. Comments welcome, as I have the feeling almost nobody is actually sseing this...¿?

V-LV-26B Hi all, Casrs 9 and 10 are finished. Say hello to the yellow twins Patty and Selma; 1955 Checker Marathon The cars are not simple constructions; For example each car has around 16 headlight-bricks and 14 jumper-plates, in order to get a high amount of details in these 6-wide vehicles. A comparison (for scale) with the original lime cruiser; The cabs are 4 studs shorter and rides half a plate higher.

It´s very nice, but the writing on the roof is absolutly fantastic!

Very impressive!

V-LV-23C Hi guys, Car number 8 joins the ranks; 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 (with 2015 modifications) Bye!
-
Hillarious, although quite a perversion of the theme... LOL
-
V-LV-23B 7th car out now; 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance (with 1985 modifications). Wasn´t really going to build this one, but at the end the temptation was too big... Will probably not form part of the final project.

Haven´t thought about that. Thanks for the tip!

V-LV-27A Thanks man. Although I try to make the diorama nice also, I admit that the cars are the REASON for building a whole diorama... Actually... I should change the fron tbumper to white, as the official #10220 set. Havent checked if these Technic peices exist in white on BrickLink. Well, no... Usually I use too many "illegal tecniques" for LDD to handle (easily or at all). Although... The next one I will post here does have a set of instructions, which might be published in the next issue of HispaBrick Magazine (english version!) if they accept it! ;-) *** So... The production plant never stops. Here´s the 6th vehicle! 1980 Citroën 2CV "Charleston"; See ya!

V-LV-26E First of all; Thanks to all of you for teh nice comments. Much appreciated! Realistic¿? Curiously enough its the ONLY model that is not made to any prototype. It´s pure fantasy... I wish they would use mine, -and pay me! LOL But as it uses several "ilegal techniques" that would never happen. (-and not only becuase of the techniques... -lol) It uses pony-ears, solid stud in Technic pinhole, forced friction and pieces not correctly aligned or connected, etc... Right... Though there is nothing much or specific to tell. Just "USA in the 50´ies") -And thanks for the grading-list. Much appreciated! Yeah. I think that would be fun too. I might do one, but doubt I will have it form part of the MegaMOC project though. (As the Ghostbusters didnt appear until the 80´ies) *** Here´s another one! A minituarization of the already mythic #10220 set from LEGO; -Even with a complete interior; Credits of course to Richard Brown, whose VW T1 this one is based on! ´later!

I am afraid to try! ;-)

Hi all, Some of you guys might (more of you might NOT) remember my "MegaMOC 2011" and it´s vehicles. That has now all been broken down into it´s indivisual pieces and Lego-elements. So now I have begun a new MOC, and here are some of the creations done for it; (I will continually update this thread, when new vehicles are created); We begin with 4 cars; 6-wide in a "rare" colour. (Rare for ME at least...) Highly inspired by the fantastic 7-wide work of Misterzumbi, but here in 6-wide with no stickers, no paint, no cut pieces or tubing... 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor hearse; A 1958 Plymouth Fury; Headlights changed to trans-yellow on purpose, in order to achieve a more... "evil" look... You should know why! 1955 Ford Lincoln Futura (albeit with 1965 modifications); Well, that is all for now. Stay tuned, as the plan is to make +20 vehicles over time...

I wish you and the LUG all the best of luck, but am puzzled about the current record. Didnt James May (known from the british television show "Top Gear") do several long Hornby tracks oon television¿? I remember that he constructed a 10 miles long stretch, and although the train only ran 8 miles, it´s still a lot more than the 2200m you mention...

This is really well done! I especially like: the mechanical stairs, the two shades of yellow tiles on the wall, and the poster advertisements. -But ALL of the comoponents are good!
-
I understand what you are saying, and I pretty much knew it already, from these last few days of "experimentation" with this software. The minifig-hands that you mention is a very good example of another part that absolutly NEED to be present in the parts-library, in order to make "even just normal" constructions. Others that comes to mind are: Minifig legs and the plate part of the 2x2 plate Technic turntable. On one hand I can understand that Lego might not include these (that´s a lie; I cant for the life of me understand why they dont include them at least in the "extended mode") -But at least these parts should be available as third-part patches/hacks from the comunity, of the definition-file of LDD...
-
This is my first LDD construction... Trivia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Val%C3%A9rian_and_Laureline

Still being new here, I dont know the expected ratio of success any request would have but... I desperatly need the lever and the base of the "Mini Antena" as individual parts! They are very easy to separate anyway (much easier than f.x. a stud in a Technic hole), and both parts have numerous uses separatly! -So I wouldnt think it so far-fetched to implement. Also, even though this is not the right place, I´ll ask if somebody has a (link to a) modification of LDD which will provide these two pieces imediatly¿?

Some newies questions about LDD 4.2.5
Hoexbroe replied to Hoexbroe's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hum.... Testing! Nope :-( The "imprisoned" windows of the 2CV did not rotate with the car after being grouped together with the rest of the model.
