I highly disagree with the comments made about 60051. When I was a child, 7897 appealed to me more than any other set, as well as all my friends because it has the custom nose piece. Having a special, aerodynamic piece was unreal, because it was no achievable with normal LEGO bricks. Because LEGO introduced custom nose pieces for planes and helicopters that year, it did not seem un-normal. Kids love custom nose train pieces, or the majority that I have seen as it is a huge play attraction and adds heavily to the realism. I definitely believe 60051 is a so much better than 7938 as the set flows with its design and overall has a far higher quality feel to it. The aerodynamic look could never be achieved with bricks, at the cost and demographic. CITY sets are aimed at lower demographics lets not forget, children like the simplicity of just opening the top of the train, instead of having to try and wedge figures through small doors, which they will have to open the top anyway.

Perhaps they might release a final set later in the new year?

Thank you all! Much appreciated :)

True :) ^

People on the Marvel thread have been pointing out that the new Black Widow figure seems to have the hair mold that the nurse joker has in Batman 3 Beyond Gotham.

Oh! Thank you so much, a very clever and easy technique! :)

I recently tried to make a train similar to that of the German ICE. My train is a little over two joined 28 studded train bases. The real train has a huge length, but the finished model seems so long... maybe because CITY trains are out of scale. How do you know when it is too long, or do you just have to estimate?

I love the new capes too, especially because you can bend and sit the minifigures down, or have elements, such as hair on the cape without it being crunched and left damaged. Also, it has more realism as cloth has that thick appearance.

Beautiful, I love the colour and detail! A really lovely train :)

Kizmoz, my idea would be to start peeling the sticker slightly, place it on the brick, whilst it is still attached to the paper, then use a ruler or sharp object to flatten it from the beginning gently as you take it off the sticker paper :)

Doesn't the new Detective Office have new scissor moulds?

Hello, I know it may seem strange to post this on here, however I have had so much trouble researching if there is a Mega Bloks marketplace? Or a pick a brick Mega Bloks place? I am a huge LEGO fanatic, but I recently wanted to build a Mega Bloks Scarab based on the one seen at the toy fair, so I was wondering if anyone knows any information, or is my only hope ebay? Thank you.

Man of Steel did not flop, it made nearly $700 million and received mixed reviews, which many were unsure due to a clash between their Superman lore, hardly a flop.

Did anyone else notice that the hunter Orc in the Lake Town set is actually the Orc in the Desolation of Smaug, with the scene with Legolas and Thrundull.
-
The Orc hair is one of my favourite hairpieces of all time, it looks so perfect!

Harry Potter is the best selling book series and highest grossing movie franchise of all time, so clearly they are epics.

The only figure I really would like is an armoured Sauron, but the Witch King would also be fantastic.

I think the only hope for a Lord of the Rings set is a finale direct to consumer set as they are not listed in retail catalogues and also would not be listed in the back of the instructions. Who knows.
