  1. I see kind of dejavu.... 42075 = 8435 : as processor no AWD/4WD/4x4 in that scale and price - possibly no suspension at all 42077 = 8865 : rear drive, rear V4 engine, simple gearbox, the same suspension system (original goes back to 1988 if some do not recall) but with better body shell, new parts 42078 I really hope that the Mack will be up to tide with 8868, 9397 or even 8285 ( I have mentioned those sets due to similar body shape)
  2. Ivan_M, I think the problem is what Lego does not want to spend money on developing new parts until it is really necessary for a new model. This is been called "automation process" and it has two sides - good that you do not need to over invest , bad that you do not create new ... Recall that back in 2000s Lego has started to make a lot new, odd, rare parts, and their almost went on bankruptcy.. so they went in to the planning as we see now - 90% or the parts are been used in the current sets from year to year - this saves a lot money - note that we have the same type of suspension type which was first developed back in 1988 with the 8865... all the "super cars" have the same principal. The Ackerman steering correction? Last seen in 8462 back in 1998 ... now "reintroduced" in the 42069 ... etc etc...
  3. Will there be any in 2017 where either rumors or so can be know?
  4. Well October is a round number any way ... 10 so the corner in this stage can be long one... November on the other hand is 11 so sharp in some way (especially if we take the weather into the count) When is the fair ?
  5. Exactly, that is why I would like to see the Model Team ones.
  6. What about those from the Lo don Bus? They look quite as real truck wheels Regards
  7. I do not think that is a wishlist, rather observation :) Issue with other wheels a part of 62.4 is the fact that they are quite wide and that would look odd if the truck would have double tires at the back, especially with 49.5 - that what I said, the best in that scale would be the Model Team ones.... let's see in few months. :)
  8. Note that he antennas on the mirrors... Again, I was looking on the wheels that I have at home, for me the best would be Model's Team... Look at scale of 5580....
  9. Today I was looking at 9395 and I noticed that those wheels cloud be used in the Mack as well and would make it a scale of 9397...
  10. I believe that they will use the small LA as per the picture size of the entire model. The upgrade to PF would be possible to improve play-ability of the set. That would be wonder ;) I only hope that they will not go with price/cut policy and make it, well less interested :)
  11. Any thoughts on the B model? 1. Either another Mack truck... 2. Futuristic truck, like they did with BMW bike 3. Your type...
  12. Saberwing40k well spotted ! Gnac - indeed those would be perfect :) AVCampos - thanks !
  13. About the Mack truck, I was wondering how it would look with the Model Team tires? And you can do a double on the rear just like 5580 having pretty similar scale. Or just look at the 5591, does it look like a Mack to you too? Also there was a "modern" Technic tire that look very similar to those old Model Team ones, I simply cannot recall it number now. What do you think?
  14. There was the diferencial been used for the first time in the 8860. I still consider this set as the mile stone in the Technic Car line and most important of them all. The 8880 was the pinnacle of the serie. Even the 8070, Porsche or 8448 and 8466 are just another car in the Technic line.
  15. Actually it was not so bad, as we got some history on the line of Technic, nice that the very first designer was there. Petty that they have not said anything about the incoming sets or the preparation to continue with the celebration of those 40 years. Originally the line was called Expert then as Jim wrote from 1986 it become Technic. In terms of legacy I think that 8860 is the most iconic set of them all and it was very interesting to find where the inspirations came from :)
  16. Yeap , that would be nice, but I do not think Lego will do so - as per their policy of making all parts universal. Still if they are to release the licence set they will need to do something with the "engine" so either as you said new mold or real "fake engine" without moving pistons .... :)
  17. If it will have engine, it will have to be 6L as this will be a license set and Mack have the 6in line engines.
  18. Me too :) For those who cannot - they can watch it on phone app as well :) like siting in the, well on that round "white chair" :) :) :) :) while they are "taking a break" And now more seriously, I wonder what else we will see from that vault that we did not have seen on multiple youtube videos so far ? :)
  19. Jim, is this the surprise for the 40th Anniversary of Lego Technic that you were talking about :) ??
  20. About the Mack truck - either this will be the new model (which we have not seen yet) or this one from the existing fleet : https://www.macktrucks.com/trucks/pinnacle-series/pinnacle-sleeper/ Looks nice, very nice. It has 10 wheels and all in Chrome - wonder if Lego will go 100% into the licence. Engine is L6 :) If this is really Uwe who will be the designer than he will have opportunity to improve his image after the 42070 :)
  21. Thank you Kaanere. I wonder, will this set have silver rims, similar to those which were used in 8285, or gray which are in common use? Double tire at the rear axle? In theory it should have as this is gonna be a licence set so should have 10 62.4x20 tires. The trailer then? Which wheels you think will have? 43.2x22 ZR or 49,5x20 ? Do you think pneumatic or linear actuator? Regards
  22. By the shape of the image of Mack truck, do we know which official model it could be? For the remaining sets, I am looking for the "fire/service" SUV as this really can be a good pay for kids. The rally car - wonder about the idea - would it be FWD, RWD or AWD - in the last configuration, if we take into count H2 2017 we did had 2 vehicles with all wheel drive :) so possible yes, it will have AWD. It could have PF and remote ;) but that is a wish list so do not count this up :)
  23. I have not seen any preliminary pictures so far, so I cannot say much about them - only my deductions from what I read so far :)
  24. I wonder who will be the designer this year for H1 and H2 - I hope that Uwe does not come again with something like the 42070 :) We did not had Markus last year did we ? And next questions, how many key designers do we have in Technic line?
