Hi, I recently received a copy of the set 42030. I have found that the XL engine seems to be much noisier than the M or the L. In particular, if I do go in a clockwise direction the noise is not much, but if I do rotate counter-clockwise increases the noise, there seems to be of 'internal friction. I recommend the Amazon Basics, purchased on Amazon for a fairly low price. They are among the best in terms of performance. These batteries are Eneloops, but with impressed mark from Amazon

In terms of performance, defined as the torque / speed performance of the engine and then the motorized parts of the model,there is much difference between a BB 8881 classic used with the AA NiMh (Eneloops for example) and a BB 88000 used with the AAA NiMh (for example, always Eneloops) ? of course I know that the AAA will be exhausted before but the thing that interests me most is the performance.
