  1. There's nothing better than an RC hamster video to start off the day.
  2. All three color schemes are gorgeous, but the red is my favorite. Beautiful work Paul!
  3. You guys scared me there for a second. After jumping on and seeing the new spring banner (and thinking that I had somehow ended up on one of the sub forums), the new banner really caught me by surprise. And add on the fact that it is still the 31st here in the USA. I wholly believed that you were serious, and then I saw the end.
  4. Some people are truly unbelievable. I purchased "Incredible LEGO Technic", and I thoroughly enjoyed every page of it. The amount of work put into the book is evident in it's quality. And it is a shame that people pirate books and take away from the author as well as the publisher. The lack of an ebook wouldn't bother me at all, I personally prefer a solid book over an ebook anyway. ~John
  5. Gorgeous micro castle, Mark! I really like the color shift in between the different layers.
  6. Extraordinarily impressive, Grum! You are making great progress so far. ~John
  7. I would say that he used the multiple channels on the PF remote. You don't see him driving and deploying the weapons at the same time because he has to flip the channel switch.~John
  8. Looking good, the front bumper and lights look nice. I may have a suggestion for the motor; could you remove one set of gear reductions to drop the motor down three studs? Or maybe add in two 16 tooth gears to drop the motor down the same three studs, and as an added bonus you keep the reduction. Hope that I helped a bit, ~John
  9. I wish you luck with your project. But I do believe that I see a problem; It looks like the front two axles are reversed. I do believe that the front axle should steer more than the rear. In your setup it is the complete opposite. I'm looking forward to what this becomes. ~John
  10. I saw this on flickr this morning, what a beauty! The orange color sceme is wonderful. Excelent MOC, ~John
  11. Wow, what a beast! The write up and presentation were excellent! It's a shame that the propulsion and steering didn't work out as planned, but the shear size and level of detail more than makes up for it. I am eagerly awaiting the video. Truly excelent work, John
  12. Hello, I have the LifeLites Advanced 2 kit, the RGB Modulite kit, 3 expander boards, 3-4 of the flickering flames, and some assorted extension cables and extra lights. I'm not sure if you covered the expander boards, in your video. But I have found them extraordinarily useful for expanding a pattern to incorporate more lights, or for isolating lights from the pattern using the auxiliary power output on the advanced 2 mcu. Even though you have to purchase extension cables for the boards to work. Overall I have found the LifeLites kits to be a very useful investment. And you have created a nice review for them Sariel. ~John
  13. Personally I think that it would be difficult for Whale2 to feed a LPE, unless he used a co2 tank or air hose to feed such an engine. His current setup using the batteries and electric motors is most likely more efficient than a LPE, besides my previous point. Even though I may be wrong. Whale2, I wish you the best of luck with your very ambitios project! John
  14. Thank you! I will make sure to check out Heroica. Thank you for the welcome, Flipz! John
  15. Hello my name is John Daniels (screen name), I live in southern California on a 20 acre ranch. I mostly build with system. I tend to build castle and landscapes, even though I recently ventured into the pirate theme and built a pirate ship. The Bane of Atlantis; Target Practice by John-Daniels, on Flickr I intend to become a Mechanical Engineer, so quite naturally I build with Technic® as well. Most of my Technic® creations have never reached the virtual world, but I hope to change that with a Model Team front loader based on a Cat 972K that I am working on. Thanks for taking the time to read through my introduction, John Daniels P.S. If the German is incorrect in the story for my pirate ship please blame Google translate.
