    The MoC already has a mould, so the only new mould would be Makuta's mask (whichever one they choose to make).

    Yes, that does seem to be the most likely scenario. I would assume that the gear function operated the hammer arm, so now you too can knock the mask from Makuta's face. I think it's safe to say that Ekimu is one of the five summer sets, along with at least one of Makuta's forms.

    So, the case is that LEGO is treating this second generation as a separate universe and story, but are but telling it in a way that makes it possible for it to be linked to the old universe. Correct?

    Wait, I just realised something. The Tahu mask from the top row is pointing towards the Elemental Being, making the equation "Tahu Mask+Elemental Being=Super Tahu. Again, this may have evolved into the Protector concept, or it may be a plot point in the future.

    I would assume it says "Tahu+Elemental Being=Super Tahu", although I think that concept evolved into the Protector and Toa combiners.
