  1. The GE is sold out again on S@H in both Canada and the US.
  2. Nice! If you have any of the past few Technic flagships, could you place it next to them to see how it sizes up to those?
  3. Had a dream the LEGO Store finally opened in Ottawa, Canada (my area! ). Went inside to check it out, and noticed it was much smaller than other LEGO Stores. Also, they did not carry any Technic sets. Also, most of the items in the store, even big sets (those with 2000+ pieces) were hanging from hooks as opposed to sitting on shelves.
  4. Thanks, that sounds reasonable. It's definitely been an agonizing wait for those of us who want the new sets now (I need my Cargo Plane! ). I wonder if there will be any impact to upcoming 2015 sets as well in North America.
  5. Do we know yet whether or not the 2H14 sets will be released along with the 1H14 sets in North America in August? I don't see them listed on S@H on neither the Canada nor the US sites, but hopefully they will be there soon!
  6. Fantastic review Sariel! I'll admit I wasn't very impressed with it when photos of it first came out. Parts of it look rather unfinished, especially the front end, and I wasn't too ecstatic about having another yellow construction vehicle as the flagship for a second consecutive year. But it really makes up for that with it's functions and playability IMO, and the fact it is licensed and has the most PF elements ever understandably makes it the highest priced Technic set ever, despite not having the largest piece count. If it were to be the same price as the previous flagships, I will definitely get it, but it will likely be closer to $299 here in Canada, so it's a bit tough to swallow. But I will reconsider it after having watched your outstanding review. :)
  7. I've heard two so far. One is supposed to be a flagship location in Bourdeaux, France in 2015, based on the following thread: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=89840 The other is rumoured for Bayshore Shopping Centre in Ottawa, Canada (my area)! Not surprised, given the mall is currently undergoing a major expansion which is due to be complete next year. http://forum.skyscra...37&postcount=80 I believe there were already rumours for this year's stores around this time last year, so I think it is only a matter of time before we here about more potential stores. Fingers crossed!
  8. Hmmm, on the European sites, it says coming soon on August 1 for several number of 2H14 sets (including 42030), while none of them are listed on the US/Canada pages yet. Does that mean there will be a further delay for 2H14 sets in North America just like for the 1H14 sets?
  9. My thoughts exactly as well. It does look a nicer in those photos in the review, but I won't be too keen on spending an extra $50 (assuming it'll likely be $299.99 here in Canada) on a flagship which I don't like as much as the previous three. So this will be the first Technic flagship I'll be passing on since coming out of my dark age. I think I'll put that money towards buying 70810 Metalbeard's Sea Cow instead.
  10. Yep, it's the Lego salt and pepper set (850705). It's nice to have something Lego-related in the kitchen.
  11. From the Lego Store at Fairview Pointe-Claire:
  12. Fairview Pointe-Claire Lego Store has 42020, 42021, 42026, and 42027 so they have officially hit Canada as well. Did not see 42000 or 9398.
  13. Looks like 42020, 42021, 42026, and 42027 have been added to S@H in NA.
  14. Ugh! Wasn't high on this set to start with and this will only further deter me from buying it. 42025 will definitely be my only Technic purchase for this year.
  15. Built my 9398 4x4 Crawler.
  16. Just building mine, and it's a lot of fun to play with! Also, something minor, but mine did NOT come with the instruction addendum sheet that highlights a few important steps to help avoid common mistakes. Only the three instruction booklets were included. Was anyone else missing theirs?
  17. Canada doesn't have any of the 2014 sets yet either, so I think it's all of North America, not just the US.
  18. Now that I've actually just unboxed it, I can confirm that this is NOT the case!
  19. Not getting back into Lego earlier and missing some older sets I would have liked (most notably 10197 Fire Brigade, 8258 Crane Truck, and 8043 Motorized Excavator), which I would have to get at a premium now. Though if I had, I probably would have the same regrets for even older sets.
  20. For me, I unboxed my 9398 4x4 Crawler and discovered that the pieces, sticker sheet, and instruction booklets were all loose inside the box - no bags whatsoever!
  21. 10218 Pet Shop and 10224 Town Hall. But for Technic sets, it was 42009.
  22. I was surprised to find five 8110s still left at my local Toys R Us a couple weeks ago so I had to pick one up too (surprisingly, they had no 42009s). Have a feeling there are still a few of them sitting on the shelves elsewhere too.
  23. Looks more like a Speedster than a Crawler to me. But nice job!
  24. Technic. Got back into Lego after going through a ten year long dark age and it's still Technic. :)
