    Canadian Eh?

Looks like the Lego store at Carrefour Laval is scheduled to open in the "next few weeks", FWIW http://www.carrefourlaval.ca/en/eMagazine/Pages/APR-LOCAL-AT-Lego-Store-Opening_7626_En.aspx?Title=APR+LOCAL+AT+Lego+Store+Opening&Article_Categories=Life+and+Culture%3b
  3. Finished building 42009 and tested it.
  4. Here are mine. No extra 32L axle, but got a spare string.
  5. Six instruction booklets for me as well.
  6. I had a very old (grey?) one which came with my very first Lego set, but I recently bought 10224 Town Hall and got the orange one which came with that.
  7. Thanks guys!

    Canadian Eh?

I've read late March/early April from a couple of blogs for the one at Carrefour Laval; no exact date yet though. So if it's true, we can expect an announcement very soon, maybe even in a few days. :) I live in Ottawa, about 2 hours away, and we still don't have a Lego store yet, so I might make the drive there to check it out. Or maybe until they've both opened so I can visit both in one trip.
  9. I would think (and hope) one would open in Ottawa, Canada pretty soon. With two stores opening in the greater Montreal area this spring (Carrefour Laval and Fairview Pointe Claire), that would leave the National Capital Region as the biggest metro area in the country without a Lego store. We have a metro population of over 1.2 million, so there is definitely business to be made here.
  10. Hi everyone, My name is Sammy, 24 years old, from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Legos were my favourite toys growing up, and if you were to visit my home you would see why. I have numerous sets fully covering the top of my drawer and taking up the top two rows on my bookshelf? I've ran out of space in my bedroom so I've had to move other sets down to my basement. :-p I was a big fan of the small Technic sets including the Throwbots (Slizers) from 1999-2000 as well as the Bionicles from 2001 to 2003, having collected many of them. My bigger sets were notably 8414 Mountain Rambler, 8422 Circuit Shock Racer, 8465 Extreme Off-Roader, and one of the Mindstorms Robotic Invention System sets (don't remember the version). 8588, 8589, and 8592 (Bionicle Rahkshis) were my final sets before entering my dark age, having gotten them for my birthday in September 2003. I rediscovered my passion for Lego in January of this year and ordered 10218 Pet Shop and 10224 Town Hall, both of which I've since put together. Two days ago, I picked up 42009 Mobile Crane MK II from my local TRU, and it is currently MISB (yes, I've been browsing various Lego forums for a while before signing up here, so I know what they stand for) :-). I will put it together in the next few days once I get time. I plan on getting more sets in the near future, so it's probably safe to say I'm a newly minted AFOL. ;-) With all that said, I'm glad to be here on Eurobricks and looking forward to talking Lego with you all! Cheers! Sammy
