  1. "He Slivers Lotus Vase." Well, that hardly makes any sense, does it? I propose it is an anagram. Though why someone would leave an anagram written on a piece of paper hidden under a rock with a set of foot prints leading to it but none away from it I have no clue. So, let's say it is an anagram. What does that give us? I never was any good with them... E E E A I O U - Nice set of vowels. S S S S L L V V R T H - Hmm, 3 S's and 2 V's... interesting. Shout verse sill save... nope, no good at anagrams.
  2. Oh, wow! These ruins are just stunning! This is the sort of thing I love seeing! Isn't it fantastic, Tony? I would just love to get a closer look at the buildings, see if there's any markings or symbols? Perhaps start on the pillars?
  3. No problem. Looking forward to seeing this set. I hope we didn't miss any important clues or anything from day one. ~Peace
  4. It's certainly an interesting setting you've placed us in Hinckley! I'm enjoying it so far. I would have posted more but didn't have anything to say that hadn't already been said. Anyway, bring on Day 2, and the wonderful ruins of Phasma Diabolus! Oh yeah, and the whole eclipse thing too...
  5. I must say I'm glad to be back on land. Though I'll be delighted to get off this bus and take a look around. I'm anxious to see some of the ancient buildings. We will be seeing some, won't we?
  6. Well, I too am glad the skies have cleared. And look at that moon! Even after travelling the world, it's nice to still be able to enjoy the simple sights like that of a full moon.
  7. Tony, I didn't realise you brought your knife along. Better safe than sorry - at least until it was locked away. This storm is quite choppy isn't it. We may not have paid for the most expensive tour but I would have at least thought the captain of the ferry could handle.. oh but I don't mean to be rude, I'm sure he's doing his best in this weather.
  8. That's one way to break a hundred. Neat MOC you've got here Torham. I love the behaviours and reactions you've got going on with the figs, and the bar itself is very nice. I also love the mixed colours you've got going on with the floor. A very nice MOC indeed! ~Peace :skull:
  9. Having just seen the pics (and in doing so only just heard) of the new Castle sets coming out, I can conclusively say I am incredibly excited! Somewhat dampened by my lack of $$$, but at least Lego Castle is going in a direction we've all been wanting! I know I'm late to this news (slack for a cheese-eating Castle monkey, I know) but still, it looks great. The more realistic look to the buildings, a Jester Impulse set, it's all looking very great! Can't wait to get my hands on them, or at least admire Dragonator's ones when he gets them. Oh yes, and before I go, I would like to point out that I love the new helmet designs. They seem to be similar to this one, and if that's the case then I am overjoyed! Ecstatic, even! ~Peace :skull:
  10. I hope all these storm clouds don't obscure our view. I don't know what I was thinking before, all that talk of shades and strange activity clouded my judgement. Confiscating weapons is just procedure, and is the right thing to do. And as he said, Fred has the equipment to deal with any dangerous animals that happen to pose a threat. I know the eclipse is the main attraction of the tour, but what sort of ancient historical buildings will we see? We will be seeing some, won't we?
  11. A thought just occurred to me. I noticed you've confiscated an awful lot of knives there. Would it not be best to let the passengers hold on to their own equipment? It's not like they will turn it on each other, and likely only brought them along for defence. After all, better safe than sorry after hearing all these stories of dangerous animals and other more eerie happenings. I'd feel safer knowing the fellow members of this group could help out in such a situation. And some people's items you confiscated might have held personal meaning or been special to them. Penny Maltese over there seemed a tad panicky when you took her knife away. Does that knife hold special meaning to you, dear? And Chris Owen, you sound like you've seen a ghost! What is it that happened to your friend that you keep avoiding telling us? Is he okay?
  12. Hahaha, I love that movie. Jack Black is my hero. I saw the horror/thriller 1408, about a man who stays in 'haunted' hotels, houses etc. and writes books about them. Then he finds a hotel room that's the real deal, and, well... Based on the Stephen King book. Unfortunately I got the version with the original, 'alternate' ending. I'd have preferred the other, but oh well. I also saw Planet Terror, unusual, but enjoyable. But that's Quentin Tarantino for you. Loved the classic style of it. Hmm... a lot of others too, saw Shaun of the Dead and Snatch again. Oh yes, Crank (2): High Voltage. Silent Hill - loved it. Disney's Up. Also, not a movie, but I watched all 4 seasons of Dexter, which I loved, but the ending was quite shocking. And now I have to wait a year 'till I can see the conclusion to this. And before you ask, yes, I did have to bold all those movie (and the one T.V. series) names. ~Peace
  13. My, my, the history of this place certainly sounds exciting! My husband and I met a nice young person while on vacation to the Stonehenge who recommended Phasma Diabolus. I've heard some odd stories about what happens during the solar eclipse, I don't suppose anyone else has? Tries to recount the odd stories.
  14. (OOC of course) I've noticed that in previous games as well, but didn't notice it this time. Thanks for pointing that out dannylonglegs. Very clever Hinckley! ~Peace
  15. I, Ingrid Peck am here! I think I see my dear Tony over there... --- Well this will certainly be an interesting character for me to play. Challenging for sure, but it should be great fun! Thanks for the opportunity Hinckley!
  16. Okay, 4 dollars each, box holds 3 by 9, so 27 packs, times the price of 4 equals 108 NZD! They all look so very awesome. I honestly can't tell which is my favourite.. (Okay, so it's the zombie. :skull:) ~Peace Hey wait. A thought just occurred to me. It says "16 Brand new minifigs to build, play with, collect and trade". It says build, right? So they must come unassembled.
  17. Ooh, four pages in already. My chances my be slim, but what the heck. I am so game! (I won't ask how many times that pun has been used... ) Looking forward to following this one! ~Peace
  18. Thanks guys! Well, I was gonna add a chain to the cooking pot, but the Wizard dislikes that metallic after-taste. With the holidays beginning I'll have more time for MOCs, and you can expect we'll make a cameo somewhere. ~Peace
  19. I like it! The exterior looks great, the mix of black and dark greys for the building look great contrasted to the light greys of the rock-work. The staircase up to the door looks a tad haphazard, which I think fits in well with a group of bandits. And the interior is packed with detail too. Great MOC, Black Rabbit! ~Peace
  20. Great review (as always ), ThrBrickster! Superb photography. As has been said, this looks to be a nice parts pack, and an all round fun little set. A part of me keeps asking how I can use the diver's suit as some sort of hazmat gear in a post-Apoc MOC. Thanks for reviewing this for us.
  21. Thanks everyone! Your comments are much appreciated! It's actually a regular old lightbulb that exploded out of the roof one day. It landed safely on the couch and since it blew out of it's socket it was no use. Then I thought it could be interesting in a MOC.
  22. The Troll Wizard had been concocting plans for a great light giving device, to use as a beacon, or to light up the battlefields, or perhaps to use as a novelty night-light. He gathered up his crew (consisting of his cook, named Cook) and set off on his way, searching for a place to start his work. He eventually came across an old ruined keep, and with the ingenuity naturally granted to Troll, came up with the brilliant name, 'Ruin Keep'. He began work fortifying the area with a haphazard wooden fence, and a dozen trophy banner scare-crow type things. He was careful to not tread on any of the flowers, as he thought they complimented the area nicely, and they added a tasty zing to Cook's meals. And finally he constructed the light-giver, which, though he had yet to figure out how to activate it, did make for a great lawn ornament. We now see him standing atop his tower, admiring his work. Pictures on Flickr. Comments and criticism welcome! ~Peace
  23. Whilst cleaning out my Brickshelf I found some photos of my first Bricklink package, and I thought why not make something of it? And so I hereby present you with a review of the Bricklink Seller Daprilego and my experience dealing with him/her/them. I'd like to thank Dragonator for helping me out with the online payment and contacting the seller etc. when this all happened a year or two ago. A bit late, but here we go. Thanks to Bricklink's interface, shopping was a breeze. The store's Splash page and Store Policies page gave Dragonator and I all the information we needed for the whole buying and paying and shipping ordeal. Contact was efficient and pleasant, kudos Daprilego. After everything was paid for and sorted, the wait began. The package arrived a few days earlier than expected, shipping to New Zealand from Italy in about 5 or so days. The package arrived securely wrapped up in cardboard and tape, simple but effective. And with a nice little sticker to let me know it passed Biosecurity New Zealand's inspection. After removing the outer layer I was pleasantly surprised to see the contents were held in an old Rock Raiders box. Did the buyer know of my adoration of the Rock Raiders theme and go the extra mile to dig up one of their old set's boxes just to package the delivery for me? I like to think they did. Sure, it may not be in the best condition, but I'd still rather have this box than even the most pristine, finest cardboard box ever made. Inside set 4920: Rapid Rider's box the contents were again safely wrapped up, this time in bubble wrap! Hooah! An extra gift to keep me entertained, how kind of them. I do love bubble wrap... And with the bubble wrap removed, I could finally claim my prize! But wait, more packaging! Very nice, the legs and helmets were separated from the heads and torsos, secured in snap-lock bags. The visors were separate in their own smaller bag. The seller knew I like things sorted too! How kind. Tadaa! The contents of my order, the start of my army, and the beginning of the end for all who oppose me! Troops, assemble! Dragonator and I stand before the beginning of a great nation.. army.. group. So, Daprilego. Great with getting in contact. Fast shipping. Secure, personalised () packaging, with a free gift of bubble-wrap. Oh, and I noticed one of the helmets was damaged on arrival, and they sent a replacement free of charge. A big kudos for that. I even got to keep the slightly squished helmet. Woo! So I can definately say I'd gladly deal with Daprilego again. Overall a great experience! Thanks for listening, and thanks again Dragonator for all your help. ~Peace :skull: Oh, and if the staff feel this is in the wrong place, please move it for me. Thanks.
  24. Fantastic MOC mate! The street scene in itself is wonderfully set up, nicely topping the awesome sewer system you've made. Dark, grimy, grisly, I love it! And Croc sitting upon his throne surrounded by hordes of loot. Awesome. The leaking pipes are great, and as always I'm lovin' the chains. Overall a fantastic scene you've got here! Great job buddy, I look forward to seeing more!
  25. Well, with the Spore patch you get new exo-skeleton limbs. There's a Creepy and Cute parts pack, and the Galactic Adventures expansion. So there are expansions already out there. As for me, I've been switching between Mini Ninjas, Batman:Arkham Asylum and Titan Quest: Immortal Throne. Buuut I've been patiently waiting for the main attraction: BORDERLANDS. I'm cancelling my preorder at EB Games and getting it from Steam so I can have it 3 days early and save 30 bucks.
