  1. When I started to seriously look into building my collection of parts 2 years ago, I bought 3 copies of the Police Station 7498. It had tons of windows and doors, and lots of white bricks. Great for starting out building city offices, shops and houses. I picked them up at 50% off, so they were great value for money. There's a new Police Station now but the old one is still available, so next time there's a sale you might still get it cheap. Otherwise the new Police Station is very similar in parts if you want windows and doors.
  2. Its a lovely building. The range of flowers that have come out of the Friends range really helps make a florist shop much more interesting inside. I love the greenhouse on the back. It lifts what could easily have been a forgotten angle. Another beautiful building to add to your amazing catalogue of work.
  3. I think the jungle sets have got real potential. I hope they continue to bring out a few more before starting on a new sub-theme. My daughter and I have already started thinking about ways to improve them using existing plant and animal pieces. I definitely agree with Dorayaki that it would be nice to get some adult animals.... may be a mum tiger to look after the new tiger cub.
  4. I really like it. Its nicely proportioned, you're not trying to fit too much in. I think the scuba guy needs to think again.
  5. The top 3 floors don't lift off because I wanted to remove the black plate that shows through on the front of the building so the brick pattern was unbroken. The floors are only 13 studs deep so getting a hand in is not difficult. If something needs repairing I can split the floors relatively easily. Also I build with my 5 year old daughter (not this building but other Lego creations) so if she's playing with it, I'd rather it was structurally secure. Mike Thanks ManInATopHat and Dayton
  6. Hi, my name is Mike. I've been reading threads on Eurobricks for a long time but have decided to start posting and get involved. I build with my daughter Chloe most of the time, and we are currently working on a layout for a Horse Show. There's progress videos on my YouTube account (http://www.youtube.c...r/3brickfriends) but I'll post pictures on the forum too if people show interest. I've just uploaded a post for a Japanese Restaurant MOC I've been working on. Its in the Lego Town forum section. I'd love feedback on it if you could have a look. Thanks. Mike
  7. Hi, my name is Mike and this is my first post. Let me know if I do anything wrong. I've been reading posts on this forum for a long time and thought I'd start getting involved. My latest project I've completed is a Japanese Restaurant based on the Fire Brigade modular set. I produced a video showing the details of the design. I'd really appreciate it if people would have a look and let me know what you think. I really respect the opinion of the builders on Eurobricks so it would be great to get some feedback. Thanks, Mike.
