This started as my attempt to build the Green Grocer with just the bricks I had on hand. As I worked, it became apparent that not only would I have to change the colors of the GG, I would have to make this my own design if I wanted to continue only using the bricks I have; so that's what I did. I am still not 100% happy with the design and will be making changes once I do get more specific bricks in, but for now, here is my Modular Townhouse. 20160412_092700 by Poisso3, on Flickr 20160412_092735 by Poisso3, on Flickr 20160412_094947 by Poisso3, on Flickr 20160412_095031 by Poisso3, on Flickr 20160412_095206 by Poisso3, on Flickr

^ That's basically how I have been building the roads for my Daughter's Heartlake City...minus the bike lanes.

Finally picked up the Bank. Without even opening the box I can tell it is smaller than the building I am working on, but I am looking forward to adding it with the other buildings.

I have finally gotten to the point that I will need more bricks than I already have. I also need to create the interior for the ground and 1st floors. edited_1458228554601 by Poisso3, on Flickr

I have reached the point where I need to order more bricks to finish the building. I'm thinking of expanding the store since I have removed the fire excape. 2016-03-09 07.24.11 2016-03-09 07.36.05 by Poisso3, on Flickr

After sorting through most of our bricks, I decided to finally start on building the Green Grocer using the bricks I have on hand...and some modifications.

I'm happy to see the designer's video is finally posted, but does anyone else think it is rushed? He only covers the play-ability of the set, a couple of the new elements and none of the figures.

This will make a lovely addition to my city!

This has me wondering if there has been a complete list made if the pieces shown in the movie that either have never been in the color it is shown being in, or just does not exist.

Wow, there are really so-called LEGO fans who are willingly being childish enough to give a crap review because of the reissue? Hell, do what another so-called fan said on another board and stop buying LEGO...and that person said they would not even buy any for their children. You have your right to not like a set being reissued, but to give bad reviews/poor raitings/etc because YOU feel slighted is not right. Just don't buy the set. Let those of us who don't have the set enjoy having the chance to something they don't have to pay second-hand prices for.

Question for those who used the sand green masonry brick for the GG, how many of them did you use?
-
So, I am starting on the Green Grocer using parts I have already just to see what I will need to order from BrickLink. So far, off to a bad start. Since most every brick I have are in storage bins and not sorted, just trying to locate basic bricks is proving to be a pain. I had hoped to avoid the mass sort, but it looks like I have no choice...I shouldn't have any problems finding a 1x1 bley tile(!) or 1x2 dark gray tiles.

I like this set being re-released mostly because I missed it when it first came out (Still in the Dark Ages), but also because it was slightly updated to make it not an exact re-release of the 2009 set. I do find it interesting that there of those in the LEGO community who don't like this set's re-release, but are calling for the re-release of other sets. I do see it as TLG testing the waters to see if bringing back older sets that are slightly updated will sell. For those of you who have been out of the dark longer than I have, how often does a set get re-released?

This is now the second carousel I have seen that makes me want this set. Just wish I had the room and the money to justify it. Awesome MOD! Really like what you did for the ride-ons.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

And all four would be a pain to do anything inside them unless your hand is the same size as a child's. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Poisso3 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Thinking about the Amusement Hall/Arcade idea, TLG has already included a ping pong table in the Firehouse, and a billiards table and a dart board in the Detective Office. Potentially, if this new set is to be an amusement hall set in the 30s/40s/50s, then I would expect to see a pinball machine, a fortune-telling machine, strength testers, and maybe an automat. -
[MOC] Detective's Office/Newsagent/Barber Shop modulars

Good start! Can't wait to see the other modifications you are planning. -
Love it!

This does look like what TLG could have put out as a polybag as a promo with the Ferrari like they did with both the VW Camper and the Mini.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Poisso3 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I agree that they should come out with smaller modulars like the town house from the Pet Shop set. Having these type sets would be great for those wanting to buy a modular but not shell out the money for the larger set and do not have the MOC skills to make their own outside a very basic building. Speaking of the Pet Shop, TLG should make another splitable set. Maybe even a splitable corner set. :) -
