LEGO Marvel's Avengers Video Game Discussion
Cheatster9000x replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I wouldn't. We've seen next to nothing of this, whereas Jurassic World has had trailers and a demo at a con (don't quote me). It'd be nice to see it there, but I'm not expecting anything.- 647 replies

Ok, I brought up an idea earlier in the topic but it was buried in the "What's purist" debate. Symbiote Spidey head plus Batman Cowl = Black Panther? Also, what torso would you guys recommend for a Captain Universe Spidey? I've got everything else covered, I just need a torso.
-
Right. I have a couple of quick questions on where the lines meet in terms of purist/customising. 1) If I purchase a keychain fig and cut it loose with a pair of cutters so I can use the head or something (I'm thinking of using the chrome gold fig), does this count as modifying the figure? 2) If I buy a bootleg version of an official figure to use parts (Maybe somebody can fill my query before I test it: Symbiote Spider-Man Head and Batman Cowl for Black Panther), does this count as purist?

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

It's not gonna be up for a while, the sets come out March 1st over here, and I also need to get paint. I plan to use a Rebel Trooper head for the chin strap, can someone put an Ultron cap over it and show me how it looks? -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Cheatster9000x replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I do believe that was me who sparked that "Ultron/cap helm" discussion, and safe to say, I will probably buy two iron man vs ultron sets. The spare Iron Man goes into armor figs making, the first helmet goes toward Hulkbuster Ultron, the second one will probably have that nose section shaved and the whole thing repainted "Metru Blue" and an "A" and some wings painted on. -

Purple hulk isn't a new mould. Honestly I prefer the mech Rhino, but a bigfig Rhino would have made more sense in the context of the set. I'm one of the few people that actually liked ASM2 tbh. -

It would make more sense with a bigfig Rhino! And don't say they can only have 1 new bigfig per wave, look at DC! Grodd and Darkseid! -

Oh haha. Went to my local lego store yesterday and got a fair few looks at the Helicarrier and HOLY HELL IT'S HUGE. I knew it'd be big, but daaaaamn. I talked to my dad about it, and he's deicided not to get it. Solely on the fact that we have nowhere to put it. Which is a real shame because oh my god it is a work of art. -

Not sure what to make of the Sandman/Rhino set. It's not a USM set, because that's not how they handled Rhino in the show, he was a kid who injected himself with stolen Rhino DNA. It's not a comic set, because that's not how they handle Rhino, and IIRC Spider-man IS Iron Spider It's not an ASM set because neither Sandman nor Iron Spider were in that film. At least with the 2014 sets, they could be applied in context of the show. This set makes no sense in terms of anything. WHAT IS THIS SET BASED ON?! -
Marvel: -Big Hero 6: I'd want their film designs over their comic designs, as I much prefer those. I wonder how they'd cover Fredzilla and Baymax, though... -Agent Venom: We're probably going to see this guy in a USM set as part of the "new warriors" thing they're doing. -Black Suit Spider-Man: Yes I know he was an SDCC exclusive, but I'd really like him in a set. Idk how they'd do it, but I just want him. -Spider-Man 2099: We have Miles Morales, and considering that Miguel was in an episode of USM, as well as the whole Spider-Verse thing going, he'd make a really cool fig. -Spider-Man Noir: Same reason as above. He had his own USM, plus there's spider-verse. Maybe he'd be packed with 2099 and black suit vs the inheritors in a spider-verse set. Or something. -Ends of the Earth Spider-Man: He's a boss, hands down, plus there's spider-verse... idk. -Superior Spider-Man: He was in the Lego Marvel game, plus he's leading one of the sides of Spider-Verse (I'm using Spider-Verse alot...) -Future Foundation Spider-Man: Spider-Verse... Plus cool design. -Anti-Venom: We have Venom, Carnage, now we need Anti-Venom to complete the symbiote trifecta (yes I know of Toxin and the like, but Venom, Carnage and Anti are the most recognisable) -Iron Man: Not an armor from the movies, but one from the comics! There are so many comic armors that they could probably make 2 whole CMF lines out of them! -Agent Coulson: He could have been in the Helicarrier, he could have been in the Carnage set, Lego, come on!

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)
Cheatster9000x replied to The Joker1's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Arrow, Arsenal, and Roy Harper are all Green Arrow clones, IIRC. Slade's pretty unique, digging, whilst also being acrobatic (don't quote me), and having a gun. Smoak and Diggle are both basic guns, as are the Foot Soldiers. The Arrow Cycle is a basic motorbike, nothing new. Again, don't quote me for that, I've not played the game in like a week. -
DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
Cheatster9000x replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
Don't you mean he's BATMANTM? But seriously, I need to pick up a good few 2015 DC sets, if only to collect the Teen Titans (I still have all the figures somewhere, complete with communicators and accessories) -
How I'm seeing things until proven otherwise: -Toa and protectors are different species of Biomechanical beings (Good comparison are the Galvanic Mechamorphs from Ben 10), that are born in the same way humans are. They're born elementless, and the first mask they wear (normally chosen at birth) infuses and defines their element. It doesn't mean they can't use other element powers, but their defined element is the one they feel most "at home" with. -Protectors can grow into toa-like figures, and some can gain the height of them (similar to how some people can be really tall where others are short). This does not mean they are Toa, it means that they just look like it. -The skull spiders are created with the Golden Mask of Skull Spiders (which I'm going to refer to as the Skull Krata), and anyone who holds it/wears it has the entire skull spider army at their feet to do their bidding. -Makuta has always had an evil streak to him, which was only amplified by instability in the MoUP, and he was the one that forged the Skull Krata. -Ekimu and Makuta aren't exactly "Mata Nui and Teridax", more "Artakha and Karzahni" -The Toa have their G1 mask abilities in them anyhow (Tahu can make fire shields, Lewa can levitate/fly anyway, Onua is the strong guy (explains size), Kopaka's scopes allow x-ray vision, Pohatu's 'rangs can allow him to run fast, and Gali's water powers includes water breathing) -The villagers wear different masks for casual events, the protector masks are for formal/big events (akin to wearing a suit), it's considered slightly rude to not wear one to such an event. -Despite them owning the largest forge and making the best masks in the land, Ekimu and Makuta aren't the only ones that have forges and the ability to make masks. However, they are the only ones capable of infusing elemental power, everyone else can infuse passive abilities (like G1 mask powers). -Skull Spiders can share powers with host bodies, so a Silver mask would make the host super fast, the Green one gives x-ray vision, and the blue one makes the host very resilient to damage (and thus are the hardest to remove.) I think that covers everything, I think.

I doubt this. Chances are, if we see a Star Wars character (Which I doubt we will), It'll be Ezra from Rebels, if we get two, it'll have Kanan Jarrus and Ezra... But I doubt it.- 647 replies

Oh I'm asking for instructions. I'm ordering a bunch of CCBS/Bio2015 parts, I may just throw the parts for this in there too.

I'm sure it could work, even if it was just one "Big Hero 6 vs Yokai" set or something like that. -

I just saw Big Hero 6, and it made me realize how much I desperately wanted BH6 sets... Shame we'll never get them. -
This summer wave... I need it... So bad... Top that with the Marvel sets, the new Lego Marvel game coming this year, the UCS Helicarrier, not to mention the rest of the winter wave that I still need to pick up, I'm going to have NO MONEY by 2016.

I'm noticing a more defined brow on Warrior's mask. I could quite easily be wrong, but I'm having a hard time believing that they're the same mask. EDIT: Looking at Atamaii's pictures, they are indeed the same mask... damn it.

Really? http://cs7001.vk.me/...uJpk12zYGNs.jpg This image says otherwise. EDIT: It also gives a closer look at Ekimu's hammer. One sided stud shooter, with the other side likely being turned to fire it.

Anyone notice that Ekimu has the same shield as the Protector of Ice? Also, I came up with weapon names for all the new sets: Ekimu: Forging Hammer and Ornate Saw-Guard. Skull Warrior: Elemental Skull Bow Skull Slicer: Skeletal Blades Skull Basher: Bone Axes Skull Grinder: Bone Trident and Skeletal Blade Skull Scorpio: Scorpion Stinger (had a really hard time with this)

So you actually have to buy something to get the pack. Do custom minifigures count?

Tahu is one set that is solid as hell. I'm not kidding, I'm having so much fun with the set, posing him, using all his functions... he's just so cool.

That's pretty good! What mask/helmet do you intend to use on your final version of Ekimu?
