Did anyone already notice that the flower cart is part of the smuggler gang? Very neat, in my opinion!

Thanks for the review! I can't wait to build mine which I bough today. The only problem now: My son and I are running out of space for the modular houses...

Where did you go? Cologne? I was on my way back home from the north of Germany and made a stop in Cologne at the Lego store. It was packed and only one DO was on the shelf. I took it and figured it was empty. A Lego store employee told me that I would get one at the checkout counter. They seem tohave plenty of DO's, but they also said a lot were pre-booked... Didn't know that this is possible. Anyway, I arrived in Cologne by 14:30, so not very early and like said, they told me that they have plenty of DO sets. Hope to find time on Sunday to build it.

Very nice MOC, Eliza! Lovely colors and nice details.

elleana, I may not have as many bricks as some of the "professional" Lego collectors, but I still have all my Lego from my youth plus the Lego from my kids and some sets I bought in recent years. If I would build a prototype of a MOC with bricks, I would use all colors and when it's finished I would order the missing bricks in the desired color through Lego.

Hi everybody, Until now I just built modular houses out of the box but I really would like to build a MOC. What's the best way to build one? Using my existing bricks and start building with the trial-and-error method? Build first with the LDD? The whole building including interior? Or exterior first? I have something in my mind's eye for a modular house police station and I really would like to create that. Any suggestions how to start? GCO

My idea was more like a pent roof (a flat plate, slightly angled) instead of the second patio, but this may even look better. Very well done, LegoSjaak!

Mifody, that's very nice stuff! I also like the way you built the road. Is the red sports car your creation?
-
I love your building from the front side, LegoSjaak. But I am not too sure about the stairs going up the attic and down again to the second patio. How about extending the recess to the first floor and then putting on a pent roof? Just an idea...

Same here! I really like the building, but the roof, the interior and the SNOT wooden floor are ACE!

You think they will do that? Well, I'll try! Even though it's not the end of the world it would make me feel better to have proper white bricks...
-
Btw, did someone here noticed color variations on the white bricks? Especially the 1x1 flat tiles have a yellowed white in my set. I never experienced that before and I was slightly disappointed as they look like some of my white bricks from the 70's.

Kristel, this really is a wonderful MOC! Fantastic! I would have just one request: Can we have a closer look into the bathroom? Would be much appreciated!

The PR is definitely worth the money! I am one house behind - still missing PC - but when I saw PR I just had to have it! It is one of my favorite modular houses for sure!

Almost ready to buy my next modular.... But having a tough time decidi
GCO replied to mkeller234's topic in LEGO Town
The modular houses are horrible... they are addictive! After some dark decades I discovered the modular houses through my children. I always had a soft spot for CC, but wasn't willing to pay that much money for a house without furnishing (I bought it later when it wasn't available at Lego anymore for a lot more money ). When my son got GE for his birthday I was amazed by the details and building techniques and instantly bought GG and CC - and they were already expensive and not available through the stores anymore. Since then we both bought house after house, we just can't stop. I would also recommend to buy the sets which wil be excluded next from the product range. You'll try to get them all anyway some day... Cheers, George
