  1. Well, there´s no Fire Station in my layout so far...
  2. Modified the colors? Share pics!  So glad you like the design! And yes, they are indeed easy to make. I ordered the parts for 4 of them from BL and I´m intending to complete the dozen
  3. Ahh. NOW I get it. The whole CC, GG and FS lineup is meant to be a first sneek peak on the recently aquired Disney license!
  4. Without even a hose? There are hoses in LDD and PaB, so my guess is they would have been included in a gas pump, IF it was a gas-pump :) I might think it is something to measure the tire pressure. The decals would give a hint for that....
  5. Hang on... KD, you´d buy this? Now if THIS isn´t a statement that this set is very appealing even to the die hard classic-town collector... I just needed to add another statement about the size. I´m really fine with the size of this set! Actually, I would be disappointed if it was smaller. The upper floor already is cut in half as it seems and the lower floor needs to be big to store everything. I wouldn´t have cut any measures on these. The thing many people also rally about is the height of the floors. But given the fact that the building is meant to be from 1932, the floors NEED to be high! That was very typical then, especially with public buildings and garages. So in all honesty, the size would rather have to be even bigger than smaller.
  6. Personally, I don´t think the CC and GG look European. Instead, they look rather universal! That´s the point. CC and GG could be in every town, in every country. Worldwide. They could be in America, they could be in Britain, Belgium, France, Germany, you name it. Whereas the Firestation has a very strict American feel to it. With the addition of this American looking building they would take away the universalness of their tabletown. Let´s say, if they were to build a tabletown of the Netherlands, they would have to either pass on the Firestation or heavily MOD it to blend in with their layout. I have to admit, I couldn´t care less if this looks American or European or whatever. I was planning to build the Ghostbusters station anyway for my tabletown and that would have definetly been American. Next modular building might be a Japanese restaurant and next year TLG might present a typical German Fachwerk house, and voila, there you go. Lots of nations combined in one tabletown. As long as its LEGO and matches the overall style of the modular buildings (meaning NO open backs, NO primary colors... NO CLASSIC town!), the sets will blend in perfectly. And if not, it´s LEGO! MOD it, for christs sake!
  7. Damn, you just gave me an idea that will result in me buying TWO of this fire station...
  8. Sorry for bumping the thread back, but finally I REALLY have to know what that additional "rack" is supposed to be. I bought my second 10200 lately to enlarge my garage, and now I´m stuck with two of these rack thingies. If I knew the use, I could decide wether to keep both intact or disassemble one for the parts... Joe, maybe you as one of the designers can shed some light on this? I´m talking about the thing with the 4 grey handles...
  9. Could be, but I doubt it. The christmas set, while pretty cool (no pun intended), would not really count as a modular standard building, would it? I´m just keeping my finger crossed for another building this year. Maybe another AFOL designed a new factory set like MS?
  10. Now that it has been mentioned again... I think I remember rumors about another modular building for this year too. And I think I remember the pricetag of 90 Euros. So MAYBE we´ll actually be getting another building this year? Like for the christmas season? That would be awesome!
  11. For the piece-count it is the cheapest of all modular building sets... I see no way of getting 2200 bricks for 90 bucks!
  12. First thought: YEEHA! Finally! Pics! Second thought: Hmm, okay... looks much smaller and less impressive. Look at the flag and the stick thats superimposing a tree! Third thoughts: Calm down, DJ. Nothing you cannot fix. And honestly, take a look at the overall details! And what a lovely 1930ies car! Final thought: Will definetly buy this. Marvellous set. A fire station is a Fire station. They always look rather plain and simple from the outside. Form follows function, you know? There is no need in designing a spectacular building for the local fire department. TLG did an excellent job in boosting the detail level of a realworld fire station to a Lego fire station. It looks like a lot of fun putting together, same techniques as CC and GG, same detail level - just in other areas - and an excellent interior design!
  13. Here´s hoping that you didn´t forget about my request...
  14. Naaa, that would be waaaay too irrational, wouldn´t it?
  15. 33.) 10 in blue 34.) 3 Baseplates 16x32 in Light Grey, Dark Bley or Green. Preferably a grey tone. 35.) No Image - Green, Brown, Reddish Brown... plates. Any sizes. 36.) brown or reddish brown - 1 of those
  16. Wow, that´s awesome! Can anyone translate the prices? :)
  17. I love ´em! Would TLG acquire the Discworld license, those characters would exactly look like yours! Have you made any more? I´d love to see the heroic Ankh Morpork city watch, DEATH, Rincewind and Luggage of course!
  18. Hmm, you´re right. I could give each chapter two weeks instead of one. However, after the results I need at least half a week, if not longer, to build the MOC that has been decided at the end of the polls. So that would make 3 weeks. I could do that. In that case the story would take twice the time, but more people would be able to participate. Is that what the fans want? Please post your oppinions and suggestions! :)
  19. I don´t know if this has been requested before, and if so, please point me towards that post :-) I need some Ghostbusters "No Ghost" Logos as torso decals. Fullsize on black, just as you would buy a merchandise t-shirt, since that is what it shall become
  20. Is that a paint, a spray or what exactly? I´m wondering since I do a lot of customizing and always wondered how to recolor actionfigure joints without having the paint rub off again when moving the joints....
  21. 29.) 30.) 2x black 31.) 2x tan 32.) 2x dark orange
  22. Curses! You stole my 2 cents! Seriously, I see it as Dfenz does. Although I wasn´t too excited about that Restaurant. I´ve eaten worse (e.g. breakfast at the Euro Hotel) in worse locations, but I was expecting a lot more for my bucks. A LOT more.
  23. 23.) The minifigs from 8970 Robo-Attack: + + 24.) The red hairpiece of the lady above 25.) 2 or 3 26.) Female Minifig from 7639 Camper 27.) The hairpiece of the lady above 28.) Same hairpiece but in blonde (I think Elsa Schneider minifig from IJ Venice Canal Chase has those)
