Aw come on everybody. We´re on a trip to see a beautiful wonder of nature and not to go on a killing rampage, aren´t we? Enough of the scary talk, okay? We´re not turning into insane murderers only because some people use to take knifes with them. If that guy who picked the lock was intending to obtain or get back a knife in order to kill someone, he would have taken all the knifes, so noone could pick up one for selfdefense. I have to agree that I´m a bit worried about someone picking the locks, as it would indicate at least a minor criminal intent, but to be honest I´m more worried about that bloke operating the ferry. Pardon me, Mister. What was your name again? I thought I heard you saying you were a sailerman yourself? What would you say about the manouvers of our "captain"? I´d like to know where exactly everybody is at the moment. Are we all still sitting on our seats in the bus? Or are we standing on the ferries deck? Maybe I´ve only just forgotten if it has been mentioned yet, but the locker is on the bus or IN the bus, isn´t it? Where exactly? And which folks are next to it?

I wonder what could hit a ferry hard enough to make it shake this strong, that a locked security compartment springs open. Since I´ve been looking outside the whole time, did I see anything? I´m just curious...

(whispers to Diesel) Hun, do you believe any of these myths, legends and bladibla those folks are talking about? It´s giving me the shivers, actually. (turns to mom and dad, putting on a straight face and trying to pretend not to be afraid of anything at all) Did I ever tell you about that book I recently read? It was about a so called blood moon. When the moon turned the color of blood, something really tragic happened. Whole villages went dead from one day to the other, major earthquakes destroyed cities and so on... But in one chapter the author wrote about a place far away of any civilisation. A small group of tourists just like us wanted to visit some mystic place... They never returned. None at all. (OOC: Damn, already 7 pages?! Don´t you guys have christmas in your countries? How can you possibly have time to fill 7 pages with postings during christmas time? Please excuse my terrible entrance to this story. I can hardly keep my eyes open from working late today...) While everyone´s chatting, I´d rather watch the scenerie outside. After all, I paid for this trip. If I wanted to watch a talkshow, I could´ve just witched on TV :)

I need to comment the impulses. Personally, I love that farmer impulse and I´ll be getting two or three of them. The pigs are awesome for farm, castle, pirates... The dogs can be used almost anywhere and that farmer himself... well. He´s a generic guy good enough to be put in a grocery store or just walking around in a city. swap the head and he´ll do fine. The other parts are okay. Not something worth getting this set for, that´s for sure. But good enough to go into the parts bin for your latest MOC. I´m totally not sold for the traveller, though. Great to get parts only available in bigger sets, but to be honest I don´t need too many luggages, shoulderbags and cameras. Nice accessories, but rather useless for me.

Er--- is there a list where we can see what kind of contests have been sugested and which ones have already taken place? I recently came up with the idea of an "Update"-Contest. Pick your favorite set of the past (at least older than 5 years) and try to imagine how this particular set would look today. Something similar has been done with classic space recently, if I recall right. A variation of that could be: Pick a classic city themed set and reinvent it in the CC standard. or: pick any 4 or 6 wide vehicle and rebuild it to allow two minifigs to sit in it. (arms may not be taken apart, original vehicle housing one minifig only, no matter the size)

I am SO NOT into the 2009 Pirates, but this review makes me really really want to buy this set! And knowing me, I´ll grab all the other Pirate sets as well then... Curses!

Well, the late 2009 sets weren´t that spectacular and ridiculously overprized IMO. We got the Troll Fortress 20 Euros off, so that was almost okay. But I would have hated myself if I had payed the normal price for it. However, I like the style of the Fantasy Era sets. I hope the new sets will be similar in style and not a complete restart of the castle theme - again! Or, if TLG would really have to restart castle, they should make a line for the adult collector comparable to the Cafe Corner modular style. Medieval Market was a pretty darn good start in the right direction! :)

Nothing wrong about that, absolutly nothing. I wouldn´t do it because I just don´t have the time to wait for a person willing to spend big bucks on a single item, so I rather sell or trade cheaper items people are more willing to part their money with for. (er... was that a correct english sentence?)

Thanks mate! Didn´t know that. But in all honesty: I´m not so much interested in having valuable pieces but rather having the right pieces I need for MOCs.
