I also love the impulse sets, but we have already too many policemen (although I actually bought this one). Our bobby isn't looking very nice is he?! We normally but policemen in a pool or sea with sharks at events like LEGOWorld, so maybe that's because of me

You can get my icecream stickers and kiosk idea to get an ice cream stall ;) but I also agree that a chicken seller is a very nice idea of TLG. We haven't seen any pics from that one (is it sure that it isn't Duplo?!)

whoohoo, that is one goldmine! really neat, nice solutions to some mechanical challenges.
-
really, really nice, very ingenious use of a lot of very common parts.
-
welcome! Nice to have you here. Also 1000steine member?
-
very nice busstation indeed. to go further on Jacob's comments: it will become a lot more expensive, but you could also build the entire road from tiles! (b.t.w. Jacob, dust the roof of your levelcrossing :) greets Johan).

Well, it is a nice pub! But maybe the old windows (<1980) can also be used for this?! Those large 3 x 6 ones and 3 2 x 3 ones on top of that?!

Well he has a roman empire name, so maybe Castle is something that he is interested in ;)

Looks impressive, is that red glance sunlight or do you use a trick to light up the eyes? I am not a bionicle fna but still find it very impressing!

Volunteers First LEGO League needed!
JopieK replied to Dr. Brick's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
You can count me in, I'm a 'support manager' for the FLL Zwolle region (is organized by Deltion and we as in Windesheim University of Applied Sciences do the troubleshooting for the schools). At this moment we also have plans to put two FLL tables at LEGOWorld (already in a friendly battle for enough space etc. so it one more day FLL wouldn't be a problem I guess ;)) Don't know that lady actually but do no the main guy of the Technique Promotion organisation (Sander Ezendam). -
It would be nice to go there, maybe together with the 1000steine folks?! So I am quite sure that we will come: Johan (myself) aka JopieK Arnoud (my brother) aka Arnoud Johan (my cousin) aka Fisherman Jopie The Dutch have some national holidays around 30th of April (queensday) and the first week of May. Hmm seems to be that I'm becoming forgetful, I already posted that.

Welcome on board then, what are your main interests?! Mine are trains and town (hobby) and Mindstorms (professionally, I work as a college teacher/coach in Informatics).

Dutch Toys r us sales from 4 to 6 september
JopieK replied to legomilk's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
well, need an excuse to go to a town with a Toys'R'Us then at the end of the week ;) -
I like that bridge solution. We have a town that is more like post WW II (1950's or so) and we are still working on a rock and some landscape details for LEGOWorld 2008 (Zwolle, Netherlands), so I'll try to remember your concept!

[offtopic] well, you aren't the only one that is trying to design windows I guess... Bill Gates has also tried it for years without being very succesful so it must be a hard job I'm afraid ;) [/offtopic] Sorry, couldn't resist seeing your topic title. Unfortately brickshelf doesn't seem to be using an AND search but still it isn't difficult so find quite some ideas of others: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/search.c...&stype=dfic SNOT and SNIR example: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=98760

I like the tanks but also the environment, those weeds as scale trees and bushes ;)
-
we never bought sets, but with 2nd hand LEGO from Germany we now and then get some MB and other non-LEGO parts. In NL for a really long time MB was forbidden to sell anything that resembled normal LEGO but TLC recently lost a case about their monopoly so I guess more MB sets will become available here too. I like some of the sets but the quality is even worse than the recent LEGO parts I'm afraid.
-
I also have a good seller to add: Grandma's Attic, USA, New Mexico An other to mention is: eBricksOnline also USA we first had a misunderstanding but it worked out really well and I got some rare parts there!

Nice MOC :) Next one will be Blaise Pascal? Or just Einstein ;)

LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
JopieK replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
very nice torsos here. Too bad most of them are not vectorized :) at the moment I can't use my printing press but I expect to get some new parts for that thing coming week (and my device can more or less only handle vectorized files so I need to vectorize them myself if I want to print something). -
I also would be nice to paint the yellowish white bricks white again. I have a bunch in chlorine at the moment but we really don't like it that quite some bricks become tan themselves. At 1000steine I heard that it could be caused by the influence of cardboard but I'm still not totally sure about that.

Which "bird species" could be introduced to the Pirate Theme
JopieK replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
A toucan shouldn't be too difficult for TLG. Just resize the normal bird. I think I already find it strange b.t.w. that the new birds are two-colored or would that be a preelim. feature? It just looks like the bird has fallen into a bucket of paint :) -
You you got it mint in sealed box? It indeed is a nice set. I am not into Space, but nevertheless this set is a good addition if you need to get your space environment a little bit more crowded. LEGO however is planning to release a minifig set again next year (city) and of course the advent calendars are also quite nice to get some figs with accessories.
-
well now we at least know that we can avoid that set ;) Johan
