  1. The First LEGO League theme of this year is also smart move: about transportation... So we'll see.
  2. 0,79375 (5/16") is the size of a 1 stud plate length so it is 1,5875 by 1,5875 mm
  3. I think, one of the reasons is that it didn't come out until the latter days of the 9V era. I have used my 12V version very often (as a kid) to make a figure 8 track. I now consider this piece only useful for letting two tracks cross vertically (although at this moment we don't use it, but we have some of them).
  4. I like steam best. It is quite nostalgic. I started at age 2 with the 7710 so that might have fueled my passion for steam.
  5. Nice MOC, truck is not too large. I like the 1 x 4 curved slope solution. How did you do that with the hat, photoshop I suppose?!
  6. Really nice indeed! Maybe it is a little too large for minifig scale compared to the flatbed, but still it remains a very nice unimog.

    MOC: HMS Daring

Hi Danim, nice moc! You could try to make more details to make it even more realistic. E.g. at brickshelf you can find a lot of photos for inspiration (of course also on eurobricks).
  8. I think Eric would be proud to see his marketstreet used in other nice ways :) I suppose it is a very bad hardresser: first you thought you needed a haircut, then after ooking in the mirror you realize you need a hat now :p
  9. Great job! You almost need a real street to display your modular town :) very nice details etc. I also like the columns very much.
  10. @AJW: maybe you can add rails on the Flatbed, that is what they do for real as well.
  11. Hmm but I realise I made a slight mistake on the large Kiosk, "strips" is Dutch, it should have been "comics".
  12. I like those soldiers, looks like they are more and more going toward army LEGO, to bad they look like marsians, but promising idea, toy LEGO soldiers :)
  13. Introduction: Today I thought it would be nice to create a little MOC: a kiosk for selling all kinds of stuff and linking it to some famous LUGs and AFOL communities. I added some existing other creations (of course as always in our setting they are linked to stickers). First of all an overall impression of the park. Not too fancy but it seems to be quite fun there since almost every minifig is smiling. This guy is selling some famous brick magazines and t-shirts with 'Save 9V' (although that literally seems to be a passed station). The sailor is having a discussion with the other two AFOL-figs about the rumor that there is a new train in LEGO town. It looks like that even a Bouwsteen chap is coming for a nice "Save 9V" shirt today. The incognito MiniStickers fig is trying to remove another "Save 9V sticker", looks like they were put everywhere! In fact that commercial column was just placed there some hours ago. Hope you enjoy it! I loosly used this for inspiration.
  14. Well, the Santa Fe is to heavy in my opinion. It is a nice train and we have some of them (including a limited numbered one). The waggons have wheel problems etc.
  15. I'm not sure about more sets, but want to point our that a decal is not a sticker. A decal is waterbased and easy to scratch (especially without finish). LEGO most of the time uses vinyl that is much more durable (although quite some sets have sticker problems).
  16. Looks quite nice. Now we need to make metal wheels to get rid of that Li-ion.
  17. The 7760 is definately the best LEGO train ever made. It is very balanced.
  18. Well, we will probably be going, I go to Zwolle every day (since I work there). Probably we will join up with our friends from BeLUG.
  19. I have heard rumors of more PF trains that were under embargo (so no details could be given), but from very reliable people. So the train will probably stay for a while this time. I think the green and white/red train will go. In fact the green one is already gone at Shop@Home.
  20. Mine is also flat. But there seems to be also something at the right side of that waggon, is that a sticker or?!
  21. Well, I'll try to do my best than :) first some stickers (77xx) to finish.
  22. but dark green is more difficult... nice train although, 4-wide would be better (I have a working prototype 4 wide locomotive for 4 wide b.t.w.).
  23. OS X rulez :) Nice tree as well.
  24. Yups, a better way to make them is using iMovie. It is great for LEGO stop motion movies I think.
