  1. They are nice. I mainly use them for e.g. making a steam engine pit.
  2. Nice set, nice review. I had one when I was a child for Sinterklaas :) I was always trying to find out what my parents had in mind and therefore overheard them taking about it before I got it. My brother has the police version. Why don't you join the reviewers academy?! Nice start at least :)
  3. of course we see them like real model trains. I'm also subscribed to a magazine about railroad hobby stuff (it covers interesting things about model trains and real trains).
  4. Well strange how they make certain parts in certain colors in LDD-mode. We could only hope they would bring out such a pieces in those colors some day. It is too slow on my laptop b.t.w. (Macbook Pro, Core 2 Duo, 4 Gb internal mem). For the rest, I enjoy all those new parts!
  5. Well, with the normal sensors that is not going to work. You will need a much more accurate one or write with a marker and very large.
  6. You could of course specify the meaning of your chart...
  7. There is a (or are) Roland printer(s) that can do it. Most of the time they have an extra axis (so not only x, y but also z). E.g. this one: http://nbconline.nl/graveren%20-%20nbconline.html But that is more for engraving bricks b.t.w.
  8. Yups, we picked up one when we were children in Billund as well... I think there were two kinds: with metal keychain and with ABS keychain, the latter could almost invisibly be modified to look like a normal fig.
  9. Good work! Even if one doesn't have 12V (anymore, I used to have it), it is still relevant, since want could make a charger in the new PF motors.
  10. Aha, thanks for the tip, that's why I broke his kneecaps ;) See: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64394&st=45&p=1163468entry1163468
  11. I guess a 7760. Nicely balance but small and yet with endurance :)
  12. Since you already opened the motor for DCC, I guess that it is easy for you to replace it, but finding the exact motor might be hard.
  13. there are ligid then, a lot of european lugs don't like the fact that LEGO supplied brickshop.nl with the Maersk train set before they gave it to LUGs like de Bouwsteen, BeLUG or Lowlug. brickshop.nl came out with a youtube video about it. It seems they have good connections with LEGO :)
  14. Now all we need is 1x macaroni plates for the corners or so huh, but nice MOC / MOD indeed!
  15. Kneecap buster, uh, I didn't know I was that violent got it some days ago I think... don't know why but it is a nice change
  16. Really nice!!! I might steal some of your ideas for our winter village (we have had it for almost 4 years now :)).
  17. well, what can we say,it is just really great!!!! I love the ninetieth flavor to your town and the modern recycle touch of today!
  18. Well if you don't have that many trains than it is not a problem I think (that your tracks are too close)... Can you also extend your table, I think this will become full very soon!
  19. I guess that is the best option, I also did that, but my cousin and I splitter our LEGO some month ago (and I donated my 12V stuff apart from the trains) and got 9V tracks in return.
  20. That is indeed very strange. We initially thought the new mining sets would have straight track, but they just have the 12V style straight rails (the large mining set in fact has a narrow gauge train in it!!!). There is an option to use jumper tiles and connect those rails to the narrow 'RC style' tracks though.
  21. Really nice! Nice find too. Becomes an expensive year again :)
  22. Really cool! And that in a 4 (and a bit) wide version!!! Just like the real thing...
  23. Well that wasn't the problem in my case I think, our attic has windows (Velux of course ;), got a Velux set as well), but they are always covered with sunscreens and it doesn't become very hot there.
  24. I have some problems with the Maersk train: 3 parts broken (2x Maersk blue tiles, 1x cheese slope bley). I also assume it is the cold, in our attic temp will not go that low but will decrease until it becomes 13 degrees C or so.
  25. They look nice! Also the paramedics unit. Nice combination of both firefighters and medical unit.
