  1. @Scarilian Thanks for the piece count updates, glad the Milano looks to be a pretty massive set. Hoping it tops the Benatar!
  2. I’ve never owned a Lego Batcave, somehow the ones we’ve gotten over the past 12 years never hit the mark for me. Given the overall quality of sets as of late, I’m actually optimistic this upcoming one will finally hook me.
  3. Sign me up for a Grail Temple set too, although I’d focus on something more akin to the 2010 Prince of Persia Race Against Time set (I.e. focusing on interior) rather than also trying to replicate the Petra temple facade. Great Circle game looks great, this might actually push me to finally buy an Xbox. Wish it wasn’t locked behind that and PC only.
  4. 25th Anniversary figures only come with sets based on the saga films. I forgot who mentioned it but pretty sure it’s true.
  5. I really don’t get how the Batman set list still isn’t confirmed if it’s due for April. Also, with TandNBricks posting a Batpod on their story, the $14.99 set being a Batpod would be awesome.
  6. My main contention (and I feel this way about Lord of the Rings too) is that a new theme for Lego shouldn’t be locked behind expensive and space consuming sets. With LotR I suppose it’s fairly understandable given how old the films are now, but Zelda is far more kid-oriented which makes this odd. It sort of makes sense, orienting towards Ocarina of Time clearly appeals to a more mature audience, but Breath of the Wild certainly has more than enough young fans. I’ll still buy this set just because a BotW set is a dream come true, but I can’t say I’m a fan of the practice. Also, a new shield element was mentioned by leakers (Hylian Shield?) but surely the Master Sword will get a new mould? Along with Link and Zelda’s hair?
  7. Given that the ‘creature’ build comes with Young Leia, we know it’s going to be from the Skywalker Saga films which does narrow it down. If it really is the trio of Arena Beasts from AotC, it should come with Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padme at least. The only other multi-eyed creature I can think of is a Rathtar? ‘Disgusting blob with tentacles’ doesn’t strike me as a particularly inspired set choice though. Interesting that the Death Star piece count is higher than first stated. I feel that last year’s Yavin IV had too many compromises with the budget and attempting to replicate the exterior of the ziggurat that it seemed really half baked. With the Death Star playset, I’m hoping for something much better.
  8. Surely there’s no way the Barge won’t have an interior? Focusing on the exterior of things like capital ships and starfighters makes sense at the UCS scale but all things considered the Barge isn’t terribly big to begin with. I’m sure there’s supposed to be synergy between the UCS Khetanna and summer Escape from the Sarlacc sets just like what we got with the UCS AT-AT and 2022 Hoth sets. I feel cautiously optimistic about the Death Star set, hopefully it does give us a decent playset and with the inclusion of Cal, one can just use it as a generic Imperial facility for him to cause some trouble around. Delving into the ‘far fetched’ side of things but I’d love to see the white Ahsoka variant with a poncho this time.
  9. With most of this year’s sets now confirmed surely it’s not long until a DC list is revealed? Keeping my expectations lower than the Batcave but can’t deny I’m excited at the prospect of BTAS coverage, even if it’s just another Batmobile and Batwing.
  10. I’m not the biggest AoU fan but that final battle scene was a standout and makes way too much sense as a set. I’d be so happy if characters like Cap and Iron Man get dual moulded legs and printed arms this time, unlikely as that is. I wonder if Ultron will get a new mould, or whether they’ll simply ‘re-design’ the 2015 ones back into production; Ultron’s ‘jaw’ piece was still kicking 5 years ago in the AT-ST Raider set so some updated pieces would be sweet. Surtur Battle sounds ace, 99% sure they’ll reuse AoU Thor here even though it’s not the same outfit. Hopefully Thor will have more accurate hair? The big Milano is the most promising of the bunch for me - a massive colourful spaceship with an interior, interesting building techniques, hopefully cool figures, and a long enough build time to savour it all whilst binging some movies? Yes please! My expectations for this are astronomical after seeing how good the Benatar turned out.
  11. Nice work, the added bulk fits well with the character!
  12. As someone who bought a chunk of sets from the 2018 and 2021 reboot Hogwarts systems but sold them without opening due to lack of space at the time, I’m really excited to see the Great Hall and Potions Classroom. If this new system really gives us the definitive system-scaled Hogwarts, I’m going to go all in this time.
  13. I really am out of the loop with CMFs these days, thanks for the heads up! Set list in the next two weeks seems likely, the Ninjago one just dropped today.
  14. That’s true, I guess I feel worried because beyond Tech, none of the Bad Batch got backpacks. Even Hunter when included with the Justifier didn’t feature one, despite no longer having a ship to sit in that would warrant the lack of a backpack. @Llewop This is the first Malak figure Lego have produced, there have been been no previous versions.
  15. I’m still shocked that the preliminary photo actually featured a BotW Link and Zelda, that’s insanely exciting. I was too young to play Ocarina of Time and BotW really hooked me on the series as a whole, so that side of the set alone has me sold. We’ll probably get new moulds for Link and Zelda’s hair, and it would make sense for the Master Sword to be a new piece too. As much as it’d disturb the serenity of the Deku Tree setpiece, it would be nice to get some sort of ‘bad guy’ for Link to fight, like a Bokoblin or something.
  16. It’s exciting to think how open-ended the summer is the absence of major media releases, the theme hasn’t felt this ripe with opportunity for a while. Hopefully the new Lizard tail piece hasn’t single-handedly used up this theme’s yearly budget for new moulds though.
  17. Malak looks perfect, and Fives looks awesome with that face print! Damn. If we can expect some quality prints / new moulds with the anniversary figures, I’m hoping for Cal to look fantastic. Personally hoping for some combination of: - Arm printing - Potentially a new crouched BD-1 mould that can attach to Cal’s back / look over his shoulder, it’s such a cool look but also the least likely thing to materialise. I guess this can already be achieved with the existing BD-1 and some pieces anyway - Bracca scrapper poncho Seems weird to pair Leia with a buildable creature - I really hope there’s more to that rumour as another slot wasted on buildable [thing] just seems like a waste - unless it’s something that comes with minifigures to interact with.
  18. I hope Fives does have a backpack, and it’s not just printed on. Figure looks nice enough, though the pauldron is really iffy. Still not quite sure where my thoughts lie with the summer wave lineup. Delightfully wacky at the least. I’m hoping the Battle on Peridea is some sort of facade of the witches’ fortress entrance with a balcony and opening doors? Makes the most sense given the piece count. Also @FoggyFate any chance you could confirm whether the unconfirmed sets left are just from the Acolyte?
  19. So thus far, we know of 4 anniversary figures: Malak, Fives, Cal, and Young Leia. I wonder what other ones are coming?
  20. Overall, sounds like a bit of an underwhelming wave but props to the LSW team for trying something new.
  21. 75383 - Sith Infiltrator 75388 - Jedi Bob’s Jedi Starfighter Really don’t know what to think!
  22. Can’t lie, the Falcon sounds bonkers in a good kind of way, but probably won’t be my cup of tea. Outside of the Ahsoka set, I can’t say any of the other August sets sound terribly appealing so far (glad it’s confirmed we’re getting a Cal Kestis though). Quite a few set numbers to go so hopefully there’s some more interesting stuff en route. Swapping out the wings for the X-Wing and TIE sounds fun, kids will love that. Looks like there’s still 75383, 75388, and 75394 to go.
  23. Something interesting on IG, michael_bricks_f0rever and tandnbricks are reporting a Battle on Peridea set coming this year, including: - Thrawn - Enoch - Morgan Elsbeth (probably a full nightsister variant?) - Ahsoka the White - Ezra Bridger Now that is exciting!
  24. I blame Lucasfilm for this, although saying that the Ahsoka sets have been a big step up from what we’ve been seeing with film / show tie-in sets that are light on spoilers IMO. Personally the last time I felt sets coinciding with the release of new content were this good was probably Solo in 2018 and Rogue One in 2016. Both films had excellent set representation. From Ahsoka, if Lego can find a way to get Thrawn, Enoch, a couple of Nighttroopers, Ezra, and maaaybe some of the Nightsisters and an Ashoka the white (with poncho) out there, I’d be so happy, even though it’s a big ask. A flagship summer set of the Chimaera seems like the perfect outlet for this, but the lack of confirmation from leakers is reducing my confidence Lego have anything more planned from this show even though it’s too early to tell.
  25. Definitely. I can see people being relatively indifferent to the R2 set, but then see it comes with a Malak figure and decide to go for it. Similarly I’m sure the inclusion of Fives will sell more copies of the Tantive IV Boarding then the set itself would perform otherwise. But with young Leia? As much as her role in the Kenobi show was great, I can’t see it being that appealing.
